VINYL VIBES. - Komedie
The fact that it’s a briefcase record player makes it so much more accurate
I have a briefcase player, I got it for Christmas s few years ago, when I have money I want a actually nice record player
@@metrosidianthey scratch your records
i have one that 30 years old or more it was my great grandmothers.
The shittiest record player type out there
@@brockdaman5207 I got one today. I’m broke so this is the best I can get. I’m hoping to get a better one eventually
The 1975 line was too fuckin good.
Took me a minute to get it
The Strokes too?
Oh what the fuck, i just got it lmao
I don't get it.

I once saw a hipster in a DC Starbucks listening to a Crosley with headphones. Almost made me give up vinyl.
Omg. I can see it
Loooool
Ohhh noooooooooo
oh no!
That sounds like a hipster thing to say
It's even better because you're using a Crosley suitcase player. They're soooo bad for your records but they're literally the definition of "I'm a hipster who only listens to vinyl for the aesthetic and so people think I'm deep."
Right!? This isn't far off from some of the hipsters I have seen around me. I been listening and collecting vinyl since middle school and my pride is my audio technica turntable and early 90s Kenwood audio system and if a friend came over with a Crosley or victrola suitcase player and tried to play one of my zeppelin or Beatles on it I would skin them alive.
@@desertratedc9596 ……I own a victrola, sorry lol 😭 also why would someone play the vinyls u payed for? I’d skin someone alive too for even suggesting that lmao (besides, B.Y.O.R , bring your own *damn* records) haha
All of my friends have the suitcase player. I feel so bad for the records. I have a Victrola but its not the suitcase one, its a replica of something. It might be clunky af but at least it doesnt shred my records and look like garbage.
@@Runeytunes do yourself a favor and get an audio technica lp-60, they're relatively cheap and all you need is some speakers to plug em into
@@Runeytunes well I did say my if my friends came over with a suitcase player key word being friend. I am not letting some random person play my records but I do visit other friends who collect vinyl and listen to theirs and they come and listen to mine. Only time I have had an issue with this was with an former friend who tried to switch my UK Apple press Beatles white album for a much less expensive Canadian Apple press while I wasn't looking. Sure they play the same thing but the UK pressing is 3X more valuable.

There are two types of record collectors:
Those who call them “vinyls”; and those who profusely correct those who call them “vinyls”
"Its not called a needle, dummy. Its a stylus."
Even worse is calling your turntable or record player a "vinyl player"
So many ppl call them vinyls I cringe inside idc
Calling them vinyl is even gross. They’re records.
what's wrong with calling them vinyls?
The fact that it’s a crosley cruiser makes it wayyyy funnier
I mistakenly got my ex a record player for Christmas, and he literally turned into this over night.

I know NEVER TOUCH THE GROOVES!!!
That’s the point
"Records sound better than digital. It's a scientific fact."
"Wait, not that one. It's got a scratch."
"Not that one either. They used a poor master."
"No, no, no. Somebody played that one with too much tracking force and the grooves are damaged."
"No, not that one either. It was pressed at the Charleston plant. Everyone knows that the Indianapolis pressing sounds better."
"That one would be good, but I accidentally touched the grooves so now it doesn't sound its best. Your ears deserve better."
"Here. we can listen to this one Frank Sinatra album. Pop it on the Crosley and see how much better it sounds than digital."
NOOO NOT THE CROSLEY
Accurate
Anyone who says vinyl is better is an idiot. It aint better its just different
I own a bunch of records, and the people that say it sounds better than other mediums are just lying to themselves.
All of that just to play it on a suitcase player

there’s two types of turntable owners. these ones, and people who actually care about their records. don’t get crosley cruisers, ever.
i started laughing as soon as i saw the crosley badge, i knew what was coming
Facts
Or at least if you do, change the needle immediately. The plastic things that come on it will shred your records

Yah I really care
Rip all the audiophiles that died seeing someone touch the groves of a record.
i was foaming at the mouth
Nah Pitch Forks came out.
The top of the grooves don't contain the music anyways, and how the hell are you supposed to pick it up otherwise?
@@lukasg4807 As I understand it, you're supposed to pick it up by the edges and/or the label. The aim is to subject the grooves to as little dirt as possible to avoid any unwanted noise.
I own few hundreds of records, I grew up with them. Touching the surface does literally nothing to a record. What makes them go bad is dust, heat, and too many plays on bad equipment.
What I love about this is that it's not mocking vinyl lovers, but people who like the *idea* of being a vinyl lover and just get a shitty record player from Wal-Mart and only modern albums. lol
😂 so true! For the most idiotic quote in this video, it’s a tossup between “Urban(e) Outfitters is a mom and pop shop” and “You can’t get Harry Styles on Spotify”
Nothing wrong with getting modern albums, it’s a preference in music taste. But yeah absolutely agree with the shitty record player lmao
@@jamisonprosser4842 The thing is, vibe is literally the only advantage to getting modern albums on Vinyl because they're still pressed from the same digital file. It won't be any different from a CD or mp3, but it'll definitely be way cooler and probably sound better than Spotify.
@@LSqre At the end of the day it doesn’t matter what people do as it’s their own personal choice. I like modern albums better personally and love collecting them. But yeah, I can agree with what you said
@@LSqre even if a vinyl is on a digital master it can still sound great just on the fact of it being on huge speakers instead of shitty headphones. There’s been many moments of me noticing new details on my favorite songs that I never heard before until I got the vinyl, even on digital masters.
“Only thing I’m on arrest for is too many vibes…and tax Fraud” lmfaoooo also The glasses and Shacket are killing me 😭😭😭
As someone who is a vinyl enthusiast, I freaking love this so much🤣
You ever hear of hoobastank
Same!😂
I bought and own a record player mainly because my mother owns (owned, I claimed them as my own) a lot of old vinyl records and I love it but the truth is that you are paying a lot more for a whole lot of inconvenience but a nice aesthetic. Also the main thing for me about owning vinyl records is it feels like I actually own the music as a physical possession
New vynils are crazy expensive.. they're for mature yuppies. I'm one but can't afford more than one record now an then. Second-hand though... But CDs also lets you own the media and are cheaper. For now, at least.
My dad still swears that music sounds better on vinyl. He says it’s not as perfect sounding like cds n it makes the music more real
@@UnimpressedGoose music does sound better on vinyl, it’s uncompressed (unlike Spotify or Apple Music), also people just like the whole crackly pop sound of it, even if you’re not a huge vinyl fan it’s one of the best ways to get high quality versions of songs (still expensive though!)
Sane here.
What would I do with my Mom and Dads awesome record collection that molded who I am.
Throw it away?
I just like finding steals at thrift stores. And picking up new music I've never heard to see if I'm a fan of it
Grandma you don't shit about 1975!
This guy just gets it sometimes.
A real master of his craft.
“I had a stroke!” “The Strokes?! Do you have them on vinyl?” 😂
Vinyl are so popular but this is also me with my cassette player 😂
yooooo long live cassette tapes, sound esp awesome when you clean up a nice deck.
Same lol I picked up a 1982 Teac V-4RX tapedeck and fell in love haha
Lol same if people think the vinyl come back is an "underground" thing then we are like in the basement of comebacks or something.😂
Good cassettes aren't actually horrible. But it is the worst sounding media of the big physical 3. Simple as that.
This man could make a video about people who drink lemonade and still get 4 minutes out of it.

"lady ga GA, yea shes kinda underground" bro- i- how is this so accurate
As the biggest Strokes fan my circle of friends know, I saw that coming a mile away, but it still hurt.
I'll take his word for this one. I still have a lot of records because I lived through the free record era, aka the 90s. They were free for the taking because everyone wanted CD's. Mornings on the way to school it wasn't uncommon to see a record collection by the curb.
I love it when things are in that in-between stage... Old enough to be considered junk and yet not old enough to be considered cool and retro.
You express the Cali stereotypes better than anyone I've seen, keep up the great work Trevor! 😅😏
how is this anyway related to one particular state in america?
Yeah he does it hella well
@Jackabm I assume you're not American, most people would agree that like 75% of his solo skits are of a Cali Stereotype. If you're asking for real though I could list off several reasons why it's Cali oriented.
You've just personally attacked about half of my entire family tree on a very deep and very personal level and I am here for it
As a member of the vinyl community, I would like to formally congratulate you on the accuracy of the fine half of us, the other half (which uses stuff like preamps and receivers) isn't much better though lmao
