You can repeat these same steps in the x direction by replacing y tilde by x tilde, y bar by x bar and follow the same steps as we did in this video but in the x direction. Our differential strip will be vertical instead of horizontal in this case. Let us know if you find the same result!

    Interesting. I won't use this for my major but it was an interesting calculation. Do you have videos on statics? Or something close to it? I want learn a bit of statics on my own so I can learn about the physics of buildings
