  • @mr.ashokkumartrivedi3161
    @mr.ashokkumartrivedi3161 Před 5 lety +3

    Why y has been taken as y/2 did not understand

    • @ambuj64
      @ambuj64 Před 3 lety

      Cause the y in the equation "ydashA=inyegrate (ydA)" and the Y coming from dA=Ydx are different .the small y denote all the particle in the shape while the Y denote the highest Y coordinate in each small rectangle considered during integration
      To relate y with Y we consider the rectanglular part in integration as uniform rod and first find its centre of gravity
      yL=intedrate(Ydl)(0,L)
      yL=(Lsquare)/2
      y=L/2
      Above L represent Y.
      Ps we misinterpret y=Y due to this when we integrate the particles in rectangular block use same y as that of highest Y present in the rectangular block

  • @AthmeeyaMythriAdepu
    @AthmeeyaMythriAdepu Před 4 lety +1

    Sir, but why x coordinate is taken 0?

    • @fikunmiajayi
      @fikunmiajayi Před 4 lety

      X co-ordinate is taken as 0 because of how he defined his co-ordinate axis
      In this case it's an isosceles triangle so if you divide it into 2 from the center on the y axis you get two equal halves
      Which means the x centroid is on y axis which is 0 on the x axis
      This only applies for this co-ordinate system.
      For other co-ordinate system it could be different.
      If we assume that the triangle starts from the origin (0,0) the x centroid will be at b/2 .
