Making a moss pole for my vanilla bean + story time about getting sea urchin spines in my hand

Heeeeeyyyyy guysss. Sorry it's been so long since my last upload. I have heaps of video ideas but I'm so time poor.
The other day I managed to scrape my vanilla bean orchid off the bricks of my house and gave it a chop and planted it on a moss pole. Instead of an instructional video, I just tell you the, slightly disturbing, story of how I got my hand full of sea urchin spines (you asked for it on instagram)! Enjoy!

For watering, do you keep the moss moist? If I am growing it indoors, should I monitor the moisture through touch of soil?
