Paint only is best. Same colors as the ceiling or simply keep white. The fabric looks like a crafts project with the sole purpose of using up the left-over fabric rather than any deliberate plan of sophistication. You set the bar quite high with the amazing style you've already established in the hall and other rooms. Stay true to it.

Полностью с вами согласен! Для того чтобы подчеркнуть объём панели, достаточно изменить оттенок всей панели или отдельного элемента! А эти обрезки с картинками... это уже за гранью! 🤔

Let the other pieces in Hallway speak for themselves and do not overload, keep the shutters simple and just stay with the paint. Everything else is where you want your eyes to go to and are the statement pieces not the shutters. Staircase side painted white looks great and will really pop when those walls and risers are completed. Enjoy watching the transformation !!!!!!!

Tip: Tubes of caulk, filler, etc. that don’t stop.
There should be a lever or something that you use to release the plunger before drawing the plunger back out to remove the tube. Just release it so it’s not pushing hard (you don’t have to back the plunger way out). With the pressure released, the contents stop coming out, or mostly stop, depending on the contents.

I think you should paint the shutters in 2 tones like you did the doors - it's subtle, but looks really nice. Maybe use darker tones for the shutters so they stand out more, as they don't get as much direct light?

  • @ivonearragon

Hello Carole I didn't like it when it was one but I liked the 3 much better. I am sure you are seeing what I see and that the white contrast of the white paint framing is too contrasting. If the shutters were painted the background colour of the toile or a shade lighter than the background colour of the toile would smooth it all together. In Chateaus I think there is no such thing as too much. You could add an additional faux finish of Mother of Pearl in the insets as long as it was elsewhere too.

Regarding Tall Stairwell Walls: Extendable ( or telescoping ) poles. They have threaded ends that take sanding heads for sandpaper and then unscrew that and screw on a paint roller. You can even screw or tape a brush on end for wall at ceiling. That keeps you on sound footing and safe.
