Love seeing the chateau friends helping each other. Recycling is the way to go. Love the William Morris fabrics ❤❤❤Thanks for sharing 😍😘
You are so welcome!
It's so nice to see all my fav renovation people helping each other out. Makes one feel they're a part of something bigger and better in this sad world. I love watching all of you work to achieve your dreams. There is hope for humanity after all.
Love the idea of cascading chandeliers-they don’t even need to be alike.
I was happy to see how busy you remain with La Ferté. I sincerely hope that you will remain at the Chateau, you have done so much and have such wonderful initiative and ideas.
I guess time will tell 😊
What beautiful W. MORRIS fabric you found! 🎉
Yes it was a very kind thought
That was sweet of your viewers
I absolutely love that table you saw at the broconte, the dinner service cabinet. It's a pity it was so expensive and outside of your budget. Also it was so sweet of the lady, Jeff Harris and Kenneth for sending you those gifts. Very nice indeed. Good luck Adrian with making that hole in the chandelier cup. At least now you have a spare.
Yes the bobeche is my next job. 🤞😊
I got faith you find what you are looking for and the price you are willing to pay all the best 😊😊😊❤
Thank you ☺️
Always enjoy your video, & enjoy seeing all the antiques in the shops, thanks for sharing. Wishing you both a blessed & productive week.
Thank you! You too!
Fellow William Morris fan here esp his bird designs love the cushion !
Another wonderful Sunday brought to us by Adrian, Carole, and Beth!
Adrian, I hope to see your chandelier project come to fruition. And, yay! Carole has more gold things to finish in the future. So many amazing things to look forward too!
I hope so!
The wallpaper in your sitting room is nearly identical to what my grandmother had in her house, except hers was gold and had a darker gold-raised velvety texture. Her family was from the UK as well, she came to the US when she was 4, but I am sure my great-grandmother and great-aunts had a lot of influence. I could have never walked away from all of those Chandlers. I love anything shimmery and feminine.
I do so love your antique shopping trips!
Me too!!
💕If you put clear perplex or a glass roof above that area where you put the astroturf it would make a GREAT Greenhouse area to start your plants in💕
Those are stork scissors. I have a pair as well. You'll enjoy using them. Thanks for taking us along.
That's what I thought. I went looking on line and found a site that had them listed as both crane and stork scissors.
Out with the old, in with the new. Lovely gifts received and a walk through the brocante's. Thank you for the wonderful video Beth!
Glad you enjoyed it
You’re almost to 100k followers🎉. Love watching your channel.
Yay! Thank you!
i love going on your brocante tours! I love the big plane that you found. My dad was an airplane guy and use to go to England all the time to work with the British on the engines and then his guys would come here to the US, just seeing that made me think of him and smile! I love your William Morris goodies! 😍
Glad you loved the plane 😊
As always it is great to see your smiling faces. In the second shop the first chandelier that was hanging lower looked like a nice size for in the stairway but on the stairs I noticed the bracket which would have originally for an oil lamp and since you are so good at rewiring things you could get some and electrify them and that would look more authentic to the chateau.
It would but unsure it would have the Carole wow !!
It was fun shopping with you! Always a pleasure 😊
Thanks for coming
Hi Carole and Adrian, how exciting to see the gold, I can't wait to see what you do with it. I am looking forward to the chandelier project get underway, if anyone can restore a chandelier it's you Adrian. I love our brocanting trips, they are always fun. Love from N.Y.
Us too! More Brocante again soon 😊
Most delightful!
I am delighted that you got your gold leaf . We are moving over to EU ..now I know what to stock before I come.
😂😂😂 paint generally over here is pricey
👋🏻Good Morning from Southern California 🌴 so happy to have a new vlog of looking for treasures .....
More to come!
The cutlery chest is truly beautiful.
It is 😊
Just needs a good rub down with linseed oil or furniture oil and it's good to go!
Carol, I have a similar set of scissors which were my late mothers. No colour on them, all silver but otherwise identical. I loved using them as a child from her sewing box so made sure I got them after she died. She had them from being a young woman and I will be 66 on Monday so they are really quite old.
I always find old stuff last far better than new stuff 😊
Hi Carole, Adrian and Beth, It must be such a relief to empty the old oil tanks emptied and the equipment out of the cellar. That's a project we are working on here too. Adrian did a great job cleaning up that shed on the way to the garden the area will serve you well for garden storage. At the brocante...the cutlery storage unit was just way to many mixed up styles, the French Louis xiv and the ball and claw feet just didn't work together and never keep all the good silver in a piece like that, to easy to walk out of the house with it. I do like what Adrian said about hanging multiple chandeliers to light up the stairs. And last but not least a great haul of William Morris pillows. Mark & Scott
Let’s hope we can find some descent chandeliers to use on the stairs!
I really loved the 3 seater couch. I thought Baroque/Gothic. I would recover the couch. The chandelier you spotted is gorgeous.
Awesome gifts you received !
I have the same pelican scissors in gold and silver. They are wonderfully sharp. Mine stay in my embroidery/cross stitch supplies.
I enjoyed this video 🙂
We had snow today, feels like minus six. Now it turned to rain this afternoon.
Happy renovating 🙂❤
Oh thank you!
I don't want this to end i could watch you two all day and not get board for one second. It's brilliant everything. Are you painting the wood in the dining or staining or is it staying the way it is? So exciting and the grass is green and beautiful. The stone walls in the cellar are very pretty.
The dining room will stay as it is 😊
Ugh! You HAVE to go back and get the silver chest and put it in the dining room! Thanks for letting us shop with you😊!
Next time! 😊
I’m glad to see you being able to donate your old heating oil. The price for that is threw the roof😮. Good job on all your hard work 👍.
Yes! Thank you!
Love broconting!❤
Love all of your gifts! I love it when you take us shopping with you!
I'm so glad!
Fabric is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the brocante trips i find them fascinating. Xx
Glad you enjoyed it
Love all your updates! Wonderful gifts! Hugs to both of you!
Thank you 😊
I love that cutlery cabinet!
Still might buy it!
I’m curious if any of you know how one would disinfect or clean the interior of that cutlery chest. Assuming that interior is velvet.
I have been busy and away, so I am three videos behind! So happy to hear that you are searching for a table for the horse. It needs a nice solid base.
Welcome back!
Enjoyed from Texas!
The dinner service chest would be a nice mom day gift😊
Lovely to see you back in France and progressing with the Chateau! Appreciate your skills, talent and hard work!
Thank you very much!
Wonderful vlog. I always love when you take us to the brocants. I love watching your journey. Cheers from Canada.🇨🇦🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
Always enjoy seeing you and watching your videos. So nice that you could find someone who needed the boiler, tank, etc. It’s better than it going to the trash. I could use the furniture for silver flatware. Here in America $250 is a bargain. Safe travels back and forth. xx
Thanks Stephanie, might have to pop back for the cutlery table!!
The scissors you want are Karen Kay Buckley green fabric/embroidery scissors they are super sharp right up to the tip. One blade is micro serrated so it grips the fabric. They are amazing. I don’t know of anyone that has them that doesn’t love them. Just wondering if Adrian is going to do the floor and joists at the bottom of the stairs or have I missed a video and he’s already done it?
Let’s just say it’s on his to do list when it’s warmer
The William Morris fabric are beautiful. I think it is wonderful that all the chateau friends share close tues. ❤
I love the idea of cascading chandeliers and Chateau de Bruges has done it up nicely, I agree Adrian. You certainly have the staging for it in your lovely Chateau! I love the old pram Carole! Love the cushion covers and more gold!!!!
More gold coming 😊
It is always good to see your vlogs. I am now keeping up with Brico Mark also. I wish them well.
Those were lovely things that were sent to you. Very kind, thoughtful, and giving.
The brocantes were interesting. Carole, you will find the right table, I am sure. Looking forward to more gold leaf!
As always, best wishes. Thanks for editing, Beth.
Thank you Peter, I think there will be more Brocantes to follow!!
Wish I could send you some things you need for the Chateau renovation. I have my own projects that can't get done because of high prices on things in the USA. Best wishes as always. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Thanks Kathy 😊
Ash the man power,😂😂😂 ya right
😂😂😂
The chateau community is great about helping each other out it appears. I love it. 😊❤ Deborah North Carolina USA

Love your videos
Thank you !
This reminded me of what my mother used to say: For free, take. For buy, waste time.
Good evening from South Africa
Thank You for sharing ❤❤❤
You are so welcome
Nice of you to give the big oil heating.I bet it was hard work to get that thing out of the way.
Sometimes you have to look a bit longer for a nice peace of furniture but in the end you will find it. It was a great idea Adrian to reuse the grass. You've made it a neath place outside.
Yes good things come to those who wait. It took ages to find the right hallway chandelier!!
Good morning to everyone!!
Fun video❣️👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! 😊
Good finds!
Lovely gifts , people are kind .❤❤
They are 😊
Меня всегда восхищают такие люди как вы, которые все делают своими руками😊
Thank you 😊
Hey both! Hope your both well! As always love watching your vlogs. Not sure if I have missed it in another vlog as usually watch whilst doing other things. Have you had any interest in the sale? Don’t want you too but was just wondering what the status was.
My gold stork scissors sit beside me right now. They're ideal for cutting yarn when I'm crocheting. Decades old and they've never lost their edge. Glad to see you have a pair now; you'll find many uses for them.
Yes they are great! 😊
thanks for the video!
Our pleasure!
Great video
Ola amigos do restauro, essa casa nao veio vos parar as maos por acaso ,voces devem ter uma historia de vidas passadas vivendo nela ! Bjs 🥰🇵🇹
Use some plastic roofing sheet on this part where you need to put a roof to keep the garden stuff dry and let in light.❤
I love to be taken out of all the antiques and brocantes. 🥰
We’ll have to pop out again soon! 😊
I use that same Gold Leaf liquid paint here in America. I painted a vintage swag lamp, well restored it with that paint and it worked wonderfully! Cheers from across the pond!
Yes it’s a great product!
I love William Morris designs too!
The best!
I enjoyed my/our little peak at my favorite chandelier in the Salon. 😊
Mine too!
Always happy to see a new video from you, so thank you! On the table for your horse lamp-is there a way to have a new top put on an inexpensive find? Perhaps a piece of repurposed marble?
Possibly but it’s also about the legs!!
BTW, I just love your chateau, and the chandeliers. I'm a big fan of crystal (and other ones) myself. Always fun to see what you're doing. I'm in Manche, so I think you're not extremely far from where I live.
I guess about 6 hours 😊
@ Actually, according to the map your town is only about 50 kilometres away!
Are your near St Lo
@It's about 45± minutes west of me. I'm at the border of Calvados and Manche.
Still enjoying the videos
have your thought about a piano and a little tab;le for cards? most grans salons from the people had these to entertain guests
Love the William Morris pillow covers.
So do I 😊
Oh my LO😲OK AT THAT HOTGEOUS BLUE SKY AROUND CHATEAUX LAFERTE❤
Love your vlog and I miss them when you don’t post them.
There’s one tonight! 😊
That cutlery cabinet is an extremely good price! Especially for one that big.
I think so too!
@ They're not easy to find, either! It took me a couple of years to find mine, but I just love it.

That William Morris fabric is gorgeous and also the wallpaper 🤩
It really is!
How do I send you gifts? Love William & Morris products too! Randy
Hi Randy. That’s a very kind thought. Although we do love receiving gifts it’s not essential. Our addressm is Chateau de la Ferte, Saint Denis de Gastines 53500 Mayenne, France. Please mark anything as gift with no value more than 30 euros otherwise we get hit with large import taxes. Thank you 😀
Carol and Adrian, I really love the opening music of your vlog, it sounds so ‘twinkly’, so light and calming, just suited to the two of you - (and you fit the bill too Beth)! 😅 I credit you with so much restraint at these brocantes Carol, but are you sure you couldn’t sneak that cutlery dresser into the dining room and announce that it’s just another thing that you’ve ‘had for ages’?🙄 I have never seen the likes and I would love something like that myself. 😍
Good idea, just do it the female way !!!!
@ Yes! 🤣👌
Good afternoon from Brazil
❤❤❤
Adrian, advice for you on Valentine's Day---go back to the Brocante and purchase that cutlery chest for her for Valentine's Day! Dicker with them for a better price. She loves it!
😂😂😂 the thought did cross my mind
Яка краса 😍
The chandeliers can be in graduated sizes. From large to small or reversed.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but when you DIY a house in France and you sell, you have to guarantee the works for 10 years after completion of the work, just like an Artisan would need to. Brocante's in France are amazing.
❤
Has there been any offers on the chateau?
Adrian, you could put the plane in the coach house 😊
Cool idea!
That ASTRO turf area would make a great greenhouse
Unfortunately it’s north facing!
I znów piękne rzeczy serdecznie pozdrawiam.
🙏❤️
I am a fellow William Morris obsessor !!! 😉😂💖
That’s a huge basement!
It is !
Terry could help you fix the gold frame you saw he has gotten good at reproducing moldings.
❤❤❤ its sunday again ❤❤❤
Yeahhhhh 😊
