Even tho we knew that this was going to be a complicated process we never expected it to be this HARD!!! But after all the headaches, we are on our way filled with excitement and anticipation. What is our new life in Africa gonna look like?
But first, we have to travel during the pandemic, meaning extra precautions, check in our 7 luggages, take a 12 hours and 15 minutes flight to Doha, Qatar before taking a second flight of 5 hours and 45 minutes to our final destination Nairobi, Kenya, AFRICA!

In Swahili we welcome visitors by telling them, "Karibu nyumbani" which simply translates to "Welcome home" in English but the direct meaning behind is to make your visitors be at ease and be comfortable in your place as they would be in their own home.

@@DaveMani Oh... that makes sense then. On a side note learn some few Swahili phrases and when you go to buy stuff you aren't overpriced. Simple stuff like niaje, sasa, oyaa... which are all different forms of saying hey. If you have friends here you can ask them the prices of things or compare them from an online shopping app called Jumia (which is sometimes overpriced on some things but it can give you a rough idea)

I miss Kenya. I've been there a few times over the years. Would love seeing updated videos of YaYa Center (especially the bookstore), Westgate, the Junction, Carnivore, Java House, and a Maasai market. Also, going to a local bar to enjoy nyama choma and a beer. Something about simply ordering roasted meat by the kilo.
