I don't understand how this band is not way bigger than they are. They are like an oasis in the desert of modern music.
I am a 68 year old construction worker. I know this type of music isn't typically made for someone like me but I can't stop blasting it at the construction site. It helps me through these hard long days. I hope one day I can love and have a family to provide for.
Music is for everyone. You're badass for blasting this.
LOL.. brother, I'm 63. I just now happened to run across this and I like it. Good music is good music. Just as, when we were young, so many of the "previous" generation fell in love with the music of the 60s that was supposedly made for "us".

I don't remember exactly how this song was recommended to me but I feel like it's been over a year now and I am STILL obsessed with this song and listen to it daily.. it is literally such a phenomenal song in every aspect and I'm soooo blown away that it didn't get way bigger than it did! The lyrics, the music, the emotion in her voice.. ahhh it's just so unbelievably perfect! Congrats to your band for writing such gold!

You can be proud you liked this when it only had 11K views, because it'll be 10M eventually.
This song is so special to me because when the day the album came out, I played it on Spotify so I can listen to it while I was helping my sick dog at the time. This song came up and I was dancing and my dog was smiling and started to get tears in her eyes. She is now not with us anymore but this song makes me think of her. Thank you for the amazing music you guys come out with. Luv you all

Really solid pop. I can't recall which artist it reminds me of but it definitely gives a post-punk sort of vibe and some of the synth laden rock that came out in the 2010s. Glad to see they still sound great as they break out of what they did before.
Maybe worth listening to Frankie Rose or St. Vincent if this is your jam. Maybe Fazerdaze or Pains of Being Pure at Heart

In my head I have a theme song that comes on for just about every individual I know and I have an ex that had a song tied to her that sounds just like this, the lyrics are almost word for word, only differences were it was “Babies on her mind” instead of “Barely on my mind” all the fucking time was right after. Almost had to pull over when I first heard this because holy crap it is like this band went into my head!
