So nice of you!
Hi Jennifer! Thank you for your useful advice! I got 6 x 4/4, 3/3, 2 x 3/4, and 4/5 in the quiz. Rise/raise and advice/advise have always been confusing to me. Your advice was really helpful to remember the difference between these expressions! Here are some example sentences: 1) The property is for sale, 2) Laptops are on sale this weekend, 20 % off.
3) Companies are raising prices, 4) Inflation is rising. 5) Thank you for your advice, you are most kind.6) I advised my friend not to spend all her money on junk and trinkets. 7) Aggressive and cocky people bother me. 8) I'm sorry to disturb you, but I have something important to talk about with you. 9) Would you please drop by a supermarket and bring some groceries with you? 10) I advise you to take an umbrella with you as it may rain later. 11) Maybe I go for a walk tomorrow if the weather is nice. 12) I perhaps visit my parents' in December. Would you please make a lesson about the differences between lie (rest) and lay (set down)? Thank you!
That's amazing!
Thanks J for this lesson, it really helped me a lot. It took me some time to understand some of the words you mentioned them.

Hello Jennifer, I enjoyed most of your videos, specially confusing words and idioms. I think if most of the students can memorize idioms, I am sure that speaking, reading and write will be a little easy; It is my opinion. I am not saying that doing well, but I am trying my best to build my vocabulary,
Glad it was helpful! And you're doing great!
Fantastic!!! What a great lesson today.

I think i know the meanings all of that but many time I've just confused how to use .i should try to practice to memorize. Anyway,

Boa noite minha professora.
Good night!
Hello Ms. JForrest
How do I can recognize "sometime" or "some time" on conversation if other person did not add additional adverb such as: soon, next week etc.?
They have the same pronunciation so it doesn't matter in spoken English, only written English :)
Thank you so much for teaching a very informative lesson. I've learned a lot from your clip.
Hello teacher JForrester! Thank you for the lesson.
I get confused about these sentences : 1)All students need.....their... 2) Every student needs.... their... For the singular, Why do you change the verb need into needs but not their into its ?
Good evening!
Every student refers to each student as an individual, so it's conjugated as he/she/it. All students refers to a group of students, so it's conjugated as they.
@@JForrestEnglish I got that part of the lesson. But my question was about the possessive adjective their. Why you keep their(possessive adjective) instead of replacing it by its(possessive adjective)?
For example: my mother(she) has her(possessive adjective) own house.
My parents(they) have their(possessive adjective) own house.
Thank you! Good afternoon!
Min 4'45": What about about "I have few enemies in this city". In this case the lack of enemies is a positive situation. So I will not label the different situations with positive or negative, but I rather stick to the emphasis.
That's a good point, and your logic is correct! Or "I have few problems"
