- What is the difference between ponds and lakes? Lakes and rivers? Seas and oceans?
I'm not a native English speaker, nor do I have a degree or anything. I've made all the mistakes I talk about in my videos. And I still make mistakes every day. So if I get something wrong, please inform me in the comments. Let's get better at writing.

0:57 Correction: lakes may also drain into rivers. They’re called Exorheic lakes.

is the water in the lake still? and it is just connected to the river, not moving water?
I'm a 38 year young woman who just learned the difference between sea and ocean. I was absent when this was taught in our school. Thanks 👍🙏.

There can still be coastlines up against the ocean so even if you see the land it might still be the ocean
That's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
Thank you Anon sensei senpai apple pie. You can also think of oceans as a giant global ocean, separated in sections defined by region- such as the Pacific, Atlantic, or even the Southern Ocean (Antarctica).

How do you explain west philippines sea and south china sea when it’s clearly in the middle of the ocean. Why is it called china sea and philippine sea when you cannot see the land???
Good question!
If you swim toward the Philippines, you can see the land. With seas, if there’s land close-by on the other side, then it never transforms into an ocean. Such as in the case of South China Sea, where if you jump into the sea and swim far away to the other side, you’ll reach the Philippines.
In the Philippines Sea, though, if you swim far away, it would take very large distances to reach land, therefore, the sea DOES transform into an ocean.
Hope that answers your question.
No difference you can drown in them all 😢
😂😂😂
Connected to land
Ohh I see now
Huge + Deep = Lake
Small + Shallow = Pond
Huge + Shallow = Marsh
Small + Deep = Well
Oceans
But oceans also have beaches Indian Ocean on the African continent probably the real difference is the size of the water body!
Well, the Indian Ocean is connected to land by several seas. For example the Arabian Sea connects the Indian Ocean to land.
And yeah, I did say several differences between seas and oceans other than their relative connection to land. One of the differences was the depth of the two, and the other was the size. So you could generally say oceans are larger and deeper than seas.
Sea
Lakes
Pond
So where does this Put, Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario??????? Because none of the Great Lakes are landlocked!!!!! They all have outflowing rivers that eventually reach the Atlantic Ocean
I corrected my mistake in a pinned comment. Please read.
Holy crap it's were on Saturn it's a planet milkey way galaxy not a dome or firmament and an oz layer just means it's your head
What are you even talking about? lol
Seas are technically oceans then right? That’s what I got from here
Technically, yes. They are a continuation of one another
Very confusing content 😮
Aww. Welp.
you forgot Wells!
Oh no!!! I did indeed forget!
