Yea, Lovebites are definitwly the real deal. I am 75 and grew up with rock and roll. I can remember the tingling in my spine and goosebumps I felt the first time I heard Chuck Berry & Preesley in the 1950s, the Beatles 'Love Me Do', Black Sabbath etc. and when I first heard 'Shadowmaker' (which I think is probably one of the best first single any band has put out) and saw Lovebites in 2017 I felt exactly the same sensations. Something reactors often overlook is that Lovebites members (except for Haruma rhe drummer) play a full 90 minute plus gig wearing four inch high heels and do not break sweat, not even Haruna., I would put them up against any male metal band and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their techincal ability, songwriting skills and live performance. And no tattoos, no multiple piercings, no ragged jeans and T-shirts, no gurning while soloing, no drug or alcohol problems, just five well-educated, sophisticted women who are also talented mucisians and play metal for the love of the music, not the lifestyle.

Dead on I too go back to the 60's and this is such an insanely talented group, but more than that they are disciplined and total class. They are a pleasure LIVE to totally enjoy and I too would dare any male band to put on the heels and play this fast and flawlessly for an entire show and see what happens. Actually, I would pay to see that even on YT!!!!!

In Europe and the US following Heavy Metal is as much about the life style, dress code etc as about the music. What I Iike about Lovebites is that they love the music but do not choose to live the heavy metal/rock and roll live style, especially Miyako who prefers Louis Vuitton to torn jeans and T-Shirt. I can't think of any western (potential) concert pianist like Miyako, who switched to the guitar and then researched the best equipment to give her the heaviest sound, eventually choosing Dean guitars with Fishman pick-ups and a Peavy 6505 amp. I love how she can play a Chopin Etude and a few seconds later pick up her Dean and rock out for the rest of the gig.@@jmetallover

You know your stuff... this song was written after the bass player (Miho) was inspired by seeing Slayer live at Download. You're in for a real ride with this band, especially if you stick to live performances from Daughters of the Dawn (live in Tokyo 2019) or this show, Five of a Kind (live in Tokyo 2020). They are the best performances with the best sound mixes. This is my favourite band in at least 20 years, and they don't have a single bad song, so enjoy!

Yes, more Lovebites please! Raise Some Hell, Break the Wall, Swan Song, Scream for Me, Edge of the World, Epilogue all LIVE, take your pick.
This song was indeed inspired by Slayer, Miho the bassist is a big fan and she came up with the riff after watching a Slayer show. Thanks and stay safe.

Thanks for tending to your tech properly for FULL LOVEBITES EFFECT (aurally, at least!) Here we GO!
One Wolf head and moon for each band member... The five Wolf heads incorporated into the Pentagram...
Asami - vocal; Midori - guitar left; Miho - bass & leader; Haruna - drums; Miyako - guitar right & keyboards
Since you like Midori's solo here you're gonna really lose your mind over her solo that "Breaks the Wall" and ends with her transition to arpeggiated chords that totally alter the mood in preparation for Miyako's soulful solo ... subscribed
I 'second' everything from Alfred Torres and Paul Morrison. About 40 songs to go... enjoy!

I was hoping you'd come back for more. Ok, subscribing! Notes on Lovebites: They have all studied the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and I'd say they aced it all. Now they are taking it to another level. A key aspect of their sound is the difference in personalities between Miyako (dark hair) and Midori (ponytail). Midori is the extrovert and show-off, and badass shredder; Miyako is the introvert, is a classical concert pianist, and composes most of their music, along with Miho (bass).

Hello, man. For some reason, your reactions caught my attention and the result is, one more follower. With "LOVEBITES", you only scratched a part of today's Japanese music scene. It's time for new discoveries and the next most logical step is "BAND MAID". Of course, this is another completely female band, but this time of the Rock genre (Hard Rock, Punk Rock, Pop Rock, etc., sometimes you can hear all these styles in one song). This band has crossed the border of Japan and is a refreshment for the entire world Rock scene, because it revitalizes and revival Rock from the 80's and 90's. It is rare to meet a band where every member is almost equally popular with fans. The musicality, creativity and productivity of this band is amazing and it is a pleasure to watch how these shy (everyone is shy, except MIKU -Rhythm guitarists and second singer) and pleasant girls on stage turn into real Rock Stars. The main advantage of this band is the rhythm section, which consists of a duo of the mysterious bassist "Misa" (aka Barefoot Assassin) and the crazy, happy drummer "Akane" (aka Gorilla). For starters I recommend the video: REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018) czcams.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/video.html
This song was before the last one, on the set list and was performed after about 2 hours of playing. According to the energy on the stage, the impression is that they are performing an opening song. Look and see for yourself. I wish you good health and thousands of followers.

I'm not even that big a fan of Lovebite's music overall, but I gotta say they write the sickest guitar solos of anyone playing today, period.

Yeah mate they've got that effect on you when they perform especially live. You definitely have to see them live,i know by my self I sow them twice in UK and Wacken Germany in 2018 and 2019 year. Lovebites are the winners of the 2018 year in category for best new metal band. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. Lovebites are the best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. You want to see more good just look for the songs Signs of deliverance, Swan song, Dancing with the devil, Shadowmaker, Break the wall, Hammer of wrath, Rise some hell, Rising, We the United, Edge of the world,. They just upload new video Burden of time. And not in the last place the song Epilogue from their previous concert Daughters of the down 2019 year. Enjoy it.

Since you liked this song, you should check out this other aggressive song called "Break the Wall". This link from this same live show has 2 songs and a piano solo. The first song is "Break The Wall", the second is "Shadowmaker" - a great power metal song that has great dueling solos and the last is a short piano solo from Miyako. You could even make 2 reactions from this one video. Hope you will check it out as it could be removed any day. Here is the link: czcams.com/video/j5xVI7bBl2E/video.html
