Fun fact : the first half of the song playing at the finale (to you in 2,000 years, or perhaps 20,000 years) was originally a song sung and composed many years ago, titled "13 winters" (refrencing Mikasa was with eren for only 13 years) . But for the finale, they had Eren voice actor sing in the background and changed a bit of the lyrics. And in the last second of the song in streaming and offical platforms, after the song ends, Eren talks and clearly says "to you in 2,000 years, .. or perhaps 20,000 years". Perhaps not only being a reference to how Ymir waited for someone for 2000 years, but the boy and the dog stumbiling across the cave potentially another 2,000 or 20,000 years after the end.

@r_bear I had to look it up but, the history of AoT world was revealed in manga chapter 86 which came out on Oct 2016 while anime season 2 was released on Apr 2017 so it was actually after the manga, but I haven't caught up with the manga yet so I didn't understand this ed then

I gotta say as a huge AOT fan, I’ve watch tons of reactions and rankings of the OP’s and ED’s, and I gotta say this is definitely the best and my favorite. You both made sure to react to every single opening and ending, find subtitles for each one and actually took the time to analyze each one and understood their meaning perfectly. No other reactor has done this to this level. Huge props to the people that helped in making sure everything was in there. It was a very emotional ride and unforgettable journey. In ending 2 there is indeed a couple secrets! The murals show scenes from Eldia's history and they even show the titans inside the walls. Plus the characters on the first side of the wall are the ones who don't have anything to hide, but the ones on the second side of the wall are the titan shifters + Historia, who had not been revealed to be Historia at that moment.

ed 3 is still my favorite! it explains the whole aot lore but was such an erie and creepy song which gives off the vibes of how it must’ve felt being a human in the show just depressing and terrifying
I also wanted to point out that when ymir ran to the tree in her time line she was being chased by dogs and was scared when she fell in. The boy at the end was exploring with his dog willingly when he went in. History is already restarting on a better foot ❤
Red Swan definitely my top OP followed by Shinzou Sasageyo and Rumbling Akuma no Ko and that first ED they both compliment each other and Requiem of the Dawn all favs

Openings 1-3 & 5 are done by Linked Horizon. Each one takes something from the previous one. Except for OP4 which was supposed to be the ED4 but they exchanged it, so we’ll find references from OP3 with ED4 which is “Give your hearts“ and then ED4 with OP5 which was Requiem. And ofc they brought all of it together at the end in the final opening.

I don't think that's a dove, the remiges and the rectrices are way to dark for that. I've seen on common theory on the Internet that it was an arctic skua (also known as parasitic jaeger, wink wink), but it doesn't really looks like one, the skua being a marine bird with webbed feet, and even the lighter morphs aren't that white...

Most of these songs were all saying their goodbyes to Eren, wishing for a better world, wishing to have more time, Eren’s emotions and feelings. And to think before the final episode we all just shrugged our shoulders completely confused, yet unbothered. There was foreshadowing EVERYWHERE.
SiM released a 'music video' of sorts for Under The Tree which is like a super cut montage of shots from the final episode, and it hits so fucking hard. The little kid getting crushed with his coins, the officer shooting himself, the fight on top of the bones, oh man its crazy how well everything fits with the lyrics. Everything by SiM is just chef kiss. Also your reaction to ED 3 is exactly why i think it's dumb to try and convince people that the OPs and EDs spoil people. I was watching week to week, and unless you were caught up with the manga this shit was utterly baffling and meaningless. It's only a spoiler if you have hindsight, but if you miss it you miss the foreshadowing and the mystery that comes with it.
The switch from these heroic, hopeful, melancholic, beautiful pieces of music, into the absolute inhumane haunting choir of My War was a traumatic event during release i swear. AND THEN IT GOT WORSE GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW only jojo comes close in terms of EDs and OPs, and AoT still sweeps.
AoT is one of those very few series that still manages to punch me in the gut with this indescribable wave if emotion every once in a while when I think back on it...some kind of mix of anger, love and sadness. I've been waiting for you guys to finish the series before watching the reactions, I'm very excited to go back and re-experience it all again. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, it is very much appreciated!
I am so glad you guys were as obsessed with My War as I was when I first watched. It's so evocative, catchy, artistic, cool, and meaningful at the same time! it's quite literally a perfect opening! Isayama said he was listening to that song as he was writing/drawing the final chapters too, that's how much it resonated with him!
"The Rumbling" lyrics point at the parallel between Eren taking up a knife to save Mikasa and, well, the Rumbling. Eren must set aside his humanity or people he cares for will die. He has always had the freedom and the power to choose who lives and who dies, but as he is unable to bear the weight of responsibility for millions of lives, he tells himself he has no choice. He *wants* to be compelled to act in his own self-interest and carry forward with his eyes closed. He says he wants freedom, but in reality he can't bear the knowledge that he already has it.

What i love about the Attack on Titan openings and endings, if you read the lyrics, it tells the whole AoT story and adds to it (ex from Eren POV), many times even before shown later in the series! Also about many confusing parts about Eren, he literally tells it to you in these.
The Rumbling opening is made by the band Silence iz Mine(Aka SiM) same ones who made “Under the tree” you should definitely check the full versions of those songs, they wont disappoint!
This show is top tier and for me personally it will always have a special place in my heart. It will be my most favorite show for a while if not ever ❤

You don't even know if the scenes shown in the OP are what is going to happen or are they an artistic choice until they actually happen. The fans just confirm it and ruin it for the reactors.

ed 3 is still my favorite! it explains the whole aot lore but was such an erie and creepy song which gives off the vibes of how it must’ve felt being a human in the show just depressing and terrifying

I also wanted to point out that when ymir ran to the tree in her time line she was being chased by dogs and was scared when she fell in. The boy at the end was exploring with his dog willingly when he went in. History is already restarting on a better foot ❤

Openings 1-3 & 5 are done by Linked Horizon. Each one takes something from the previous one. Except for OP4 which was supposed to be the ED4 but they exchanged it, so we’ll find references from OP3 with ED4 which is “Give your hearts“ and then ED4 with OP5 which was Requiem.
And ofc they brought all of it together at the end in the final opening.

The singer at the beginning of ending 9 is Mikasa's voice actress, and the voice that joins in the dove scene is Eren's voice actor.
I don't think that's a dove, the remiges and the rectrices are way to dark for that. I've seen on common theory on the Internet that it was an arctic skua (also known as parasitic jaeger, wink wink), but it doesn't really looks like one, the skua being a marine bird with webbed feet, and even the lighter morphs aren't that white...
I'm 100% certain that the pov in Under the Tree is Eren's head. Mikasa is carrying him back to Paradis to bury him. 😭

I rarely see people react to that actual ending song, the "To You in 2000..." one, and I'm so glad you did! That's my personal favorite, I had to just go and spend a whole day to learn it the first time I heard it.
I remember when opening 4 Red Swan was released, in the manga Eren was talking to Mikasa that he hated her, so it was already painful to watch that time as in the manga the trio was falling apart. 💔💔

Most of these songs were all saying their goodbyes to Eren, wishing for a better world, wishing to have more time, Eren’s emotions and feelings. And to think before the final episode we all just shrugged our shoulders completely confused, yet unbothered. There was foreshadowing EVERYWHERE.
SiM released a 'music video' of sorts for Under The Tree which is like a super cut montage of shots from the final episode, and it hits so fucking hard. The little kid getting crushed with his coins, the officer shooting himself, the fight on top of the bones, oh man its crazy how well everything fits with the lyrics. Everything by SiM is just chef kiss.
Also your reaction to ED 3 is exactly why i think it's dumb to try and convince people that the OPs and EDs spoil people. I was watching week to week, and unless you were caught up with the manga this shit was utterly baffling and meaningless. It's only a spoiler if you have hindsight, but if you miss it you miss the foreshadowing and the mystery that comes with it.
The switch from these heroic, hopeful, melancholic, beautiful pieces of music, into the absolute inhumane haunting choir of My War was a traumatic event during release i swear.

AoT is one of those very few series that still manages to punch me in the gut with this indescribable wave if emotion every once in a while when I think back on it...some kind of mix of anger, love and sadness. I've been waiting for you guys to finish the series before watching the reactions, I'm very excited to go back and re-experience it all again. I am so glad you guys were as obsessed with My War as I was when I first watched. It's so evocative, catchy, artistic, cool, and meaningful at the same time! it's quite literally a perfect opening! Isayama said he was listening to that song as he was writing/drawing the final chapters too, that's how much it resonated with him!
"The Rumbling" lyrics point at the parallel between Eren taking up a knife to save Mikasa and, well, the Rumbling. Eren must set aside his humanity or people he cares for will die. He has always had the freedom and the power to choose who lives and who dies, but as he is unable to bear the weight of responsibility for millions of lives, he tells himself he has no choice. He *wants* to be compelled to act in his own self-interest and carry forward with his eyes closed. He says he wants freedom, but in reality he can't bear the knowledge that he already has it.

What i love about the Attack on Titan openings and endings, if you read the lyrics, it tells the whole AoT story and adds to it (ex from Eren POV), many times even before shown later in the series! Also about many confusing parts about Eren, he literally tells it to you in these.
The Rumbling opening is made by the band Silence iz Mine(Aka SiM) same ones who made “Under the tree” you should definitely check the full versions of those songs, they wont disappoint!
