why not attack with everything on the last attack? It was leathal right?
Yeah I guess it would have been if the Shambling Vent went in too. He only had 4 blockers so that lets a single vampire through. I didn't factor in the Graveyard Trespasser's attack trigger putting him to 1 before combat.

At 18:17 vodalian hexcatcher was sacrificed attempting to counter the fatal push and no mana was paid.
This is important, since fatal push was countered or the BW player didn't have mana for temporary lockdown.
There's no point to pay the mana since the target doesn't exist. That was the whole reason I Fatal Pushed the Hexcatcher. If I just go for the Temporary Lockdown he can sacrifice two merfolk to counter it, leaving him with two left.
