Wow! What a nice lesson here. Great job teaching! I am also playing with the alcohol inks but in a different way. I mix up my own colors and refill alcohol markers by using a dropper to squirter the ink into the marker barrel after using a pliers to remove the felt nib. Then reinsert the nib after refilling.
You'll want to use the 99 for a faster dry and deeper pigment. The lower one will work, but the quality is different. Experiment and see which one you like better
