@@TheBryceholden i think it's because they're not bracketed in the music sheet i got, but i felt like they were important places in the piece so i put them in there just in case others felt the same. it's been like, 4 years since i played this piece so i'm not 100% sure lol
This was the funnest percussion thing to play ever. We had everyone doing something. Bass, snare, timpani, sizzle cymbal, crash cymbal, hi-hat, xylophone, marimba, (I had the bells part). All sorts of little accessories. It was incredibly epic.
I remember playing this song in high school. Gary Gilroy actually directed this with us and the way he moved with the music was just so fun and amazing. Incredible guy and incredible music. Can't wait to work with him again.
I was a Bass Clarinetist in High School, we played this in 2010 iirc, 1:40 was my solo and HOT DAMN if I didn't love every second of that funky bassline, it stuck with me forever and I had to go down one heck of a rabbit hole to find this when it got stuck in my head earlier today, lol
I played the oboe I was so jealous of that part I wanted to play it so bad it sounded sooooo gooooddddd then when the clarinets came in ( chefs kiss) 🤌🏾
I remember playing this at distract band about two or three years ago. I still play that clarinet part that starts around 1:56 often when I'm warming up. So great to listen to this piece again!
Got a 1 with this song at State contest. I played the xylophone, marimba, chimes, and vibes in it. it was a lot of fun to have all of those parts to myself. stressful at first but was awesome when I learned all of it. 👍
As a tuba, "I'm in danger". We're working on this as one of our "Hey, it's a virus and we don't have many people in class so let's just play whatever you want." Love the song, These high notes are gonna kill me.
I'm playing this for my summer camp, I'm playing clarinet on it and we only have 10 days to practice but by the third day we could play this nearly perfectly. I love the clarinet part for this piece and the percussion parts (:
My school's 10th/9th grade band and wind ensemble are playing this together in March. We just got it today. I've only been playing flute for like a year whereas the other flutes have been playing 4-5 years. I am not ready for this XD
Diego Garcia hey pal! hope you like being reported, because that just happened to you. Oh, and don't think about reporting me because you are already blocked. Thanks, pumpkin.
THE most badass song we've ever played. We won state title with this song.

I remember playing this at distract band about two or three years ago. I still play that clarinet part that starts around 1:56 often when I'm warming up. So great to listen to this piece again!
