This was my first show. I was in the 8th grade. One of the guys who was in front ensemble with me killed himself a year later. This brings back good memories with him

Did this show my first year as a wee little 8th grader, and now im a senior who just finished my last ever band camp. Hard to believe.
first year of marching band and we are playing this. love every second of it
Edit: its now my senior year and we started band camp again for my final time. I still remember the drill to this day. The show got the band a division 1 at our state wide competition and it was just an all around fun time. I hope whoever sees this when they listen to the song for the first time has as wonderful of an experience as I did. It still brings tears to my eyes as I remember all the fun times I had in band, but time goes on and people grow up. Sadly I must advance with time too. Have fun out there in the world of marching band peeps.

Listening to this makes me so emotional. Played this and Fire and Ice. So thankful i got to be a part of my high schools marching band during junior high, was probably the most fun ive ever had in my life.

This show was great at my high school! Color Guard won first overall in a competition in finals! Such an exciting moment for my freshman year :)
i conducted this show my senior year. it was 2020, so it was during covid. band camp was different and so was our whole year. no competitions, parades, or anything. but i still learned a lot from that year. it taught me how to be a leader, and i learned how big my passion for music really is. i can't help but play this video and conduct to it whenever i come across it on my recommended. Thank you

We played this my sophomore year of high school, it sounded so neat and the show looked so cool cx we weren't very good that year but it was still fun to be a part of!
We are doing this show this year and we just got back from a competition with straight superiors on everything. We won 1rst place. Thank you.

I have marched three gpg shows in my high school career. Brace new world, Pyramids of Egypt, and How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse, zombies is my senior year show this year, such great music with great Energy

North Salem High School is playing this show this year, kinda sad to think ill never march with them again haha, marched three awesome GPG shows in my high school life so nothing to regret! Hope to one day compose music like you guys do, all I can do now is prepare for college and continue my amateur composer life! Thanks for great memories and inspiration!
We hope it's a memorable last year for you! It's great to hear about young composers so enthusiastic about the industry. We have have published music from several college students or recent graduates-and even a high schooler-so don't let your age or experience stop you from any pursuits!

I'm marching the pyramids of Egypt this year. I'm so excited! I was told I was the best marcher and player My band had. I personally love this. I want to conduct and write beautiful inspirationally music like so. What's really sad is the band geeks are the ones who get mad fun of and mocked even though we bring most of the spirit along with the cheerleaders, dance team, and football players. Along with any other athletic person. My dream is to go to Julliard and fulfill my dream as a composer and writer.
