- What's the deal with the various secret characters in the FNAF series? Today, I go over a bunch of games and dive deep into each secret character and a couple of hoaxes along the way!

FNAF 1: I am so sorry about the pronunciation y'all oh my god lmaooo
FNAF 3: I missed the Phantom Bonnie hoax, which was another pretty relevant one at that time
FNAF 4: Nightmare JJ Hoax popped up around the Halloween update's launch, I did see this but forgot to add it in the script lol. I even remember the day this hoax dropped, so my bad. There's also Nightmare Foxy in the doorway which is pretty uncommon, but that's more of a general Easter egg rather than a secret character one.
FNAF 6: Getting mixed signals from the comment section about the William/Henry stuff but I think I was correct in the video. The fact that there's tire tracks after the Security Puppet minigame pretty much confirms that it's William for me. Anyway I also forgot R.A.S.C (Remote Activated Simulated C) (The "C" probably stands for child). They only show up on the blueprints in the insanity ending and they are a little robot thing on wheels that is supposed to be the audio lure you control in FNAF 6.

also, for people who hadn't heard, i think when endo 02 enters the left vent, he blocks any animatronics from entering that vent until he vanishes into thin air.

It's amazing how scott noticed these secret characters and actually added sparky to the movie! It just goes to show how even though he's retiring from the games he still appreciates the community.

but yeah, here one I thought of golden glam rock Freddy on the off chance of 1 in 1,000 glam rock Freddy would become golden Freddy for 5 minutes.
Shortly after the release of FNaF in 2014, some Polish-language author (I think it was a child) created a FNaF creepypasta and included two original characters in it by the name of Tigor and Elefanch. I remember that many Polish FNaF fans believed that these characters actually exist in the game.

I wanna go back to these times. I want to go back to 2014 and actually be into the game as it’s evolving. I want to go back to when there were these rumors and we didn’t have the abilities to scour every last inch of the code and break down everything in the game. I wasn’t into FNAF back in the “Scott Cawthon Era” but I want to go back so bad because it still feels like I was there, even though I wasn’t. That’s something I’ve only seen something like FNAF do and I love it.

i assume the reason hoaxes became less and less common is because there's not the same air of mystery around the games as there was with fnaf 1 & 2. as time went on people kinda knew what to expect etc

The fnaf 4 hoaxs are my favorite and most nostalgic. The hiding under the bed, hiding in closet, going to right door and encountering plushtrap before the night is over where some of the best hoaxs.

it isn't, numbers in clickteam don't go that high, it's actually around 1 in 16000. ItzTaken made an in-depth video on it.
Not sure if this can be counted as a character, but in FNaF 6 when salvaging someone that’s already at the pizzeria, a cardboard cutout with a wink is there holding a sign that says that there’s no one there because the animatronic is inside. Easiest way to trigger this is to buy Lefty before the fourth salvage, tho I believe Molten Freddy, Scrap Baby, and Scraptrap can be brought in earlier with the purchase of certain items as they’re hiding in them.
Thats on the 4th night when lefty is supposed to show up but if you already bought her that sign will show up instead

Normally lefty would show up, but because of the fact that we bought her she left a sign saying she is already there. Henry did not make you salvage a sign

There are two Bidybabs that could randomly appear in FNAF Sister Location. One can sometimes look through the windows on the elevator and another can sometimes look through the windows in Circus Gallery.
Although I never really cared for nor believed any of the FNAF hoaxes, I do kinda wish for the return of them.

A shadow bonnie figure can appear on your desk in FNAF 3.
It's incredibly hard to spot, since it's mostly dark and would be in place of the cupcake, but it's there.

while FNAF4 may not have _exactly_ had secret characters, FNAF4 Halloween Edition added a lot of characters that were pretty obscure for the time and even to this day some of them are still kind of obscure. Nightmare Mangle, Nightmare Balloon Boy, Jack-O-Chica, the much-lesser known Jack-O-Bonnie that literally hasn't even made any appearance outside of FNAF4 afaik, and Nightmarionne.

Honestly the "yellow bear" being "golden freddy" makes me think that there was only supposed to be 4 animatronics and fredbear, the animatronic from the old location. But Scott probably changed that because the fifth animatronic being enigmatic was more interesting.
Fun fact: No random chance can be above 65,535. This is due to how CTF uses unsigned short integers in it's random function. Due to the use of this integer format (which only goes up to 65,535), any value above said number gets wrapped around to the other side of the possible values (eg. 65536 would get wrapped around to 0).
For this reason, characters like shadow Bonnie actually have a much higher chance of showing up, with the aforementioned character having a 1 in ~16,000 chance of appearing in actuality.

You can count "R.A.S.C." as a secret character for the Pizzeria Sim. I think it qualifies.

I remember a video from several years back. It was about Candy supposedly being hidden in FNAF 2 on the Puppet's cam.
when I played fnaf 1 as a kid, I saw golden Freddy and got extremely curious, confused and concerned, I got jump scared by him and I literally punched my tablet so hard it made a few cracks on its screen.
I remember a FNAF 4 hoax I used to believe at the time. It said that whenever you heard a police siren during the Plushtrap minigame, a plush version of Purple Guy would show up. Looking at it now just makes me see how evident it was

In addition, the modern fnaf player ScorpionPlay in letsplay of FNAF2 called Afton a «pink guy», which is funny.
Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie are two of the coolest animatronics in the history of FNAF. They're both so mysterious and interesting, and I love the roles they play in FNAF 3 specifically. Shadow Freddy lures the animatronics into getting destroyed, while Shadow Bonnie helped to free the children's souls. I personally interpret this as the two shadow animatronics being on opposite sides, one helping Purple Guy and the other helping the children.
I think they work together actually shadow Freddy destroys the animatronics so shadow bonnie can free the souls so they can kill william

We got teasers for Phantom BB and one for Phantom Chica and Foxy (which obviously led many to speculate Phantom Freddy) so that only leaves Phantom Puppet and Mangle. Puppet appears in the extras menu leaving Mangle to be the only character to not show up there

There is actually "secret characters" in FNAF 4, but they're in the Halloween edition of FNAF 4 and not the main game..

Well, they’re not secret. The characters listed here are characters that appear in the base game but aren’t characters that 100% appear.
The Halloween edition characters appear 100% and they’re just simply part of DLC. He also said Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare aren’t included because they’re in the extras menu, and, what do you know, all the Halloween edition characters also appear in extras.

in fnaf 6 you missed the sign that appears in Salvage if the animatronic that was supposed to show up is already inside your pizzeria
I swear on my life that I encountered shadow toy bonnie once in Fnaf 2 and didn’t crash my game. All he did was fade away much like how Golden Freddy did. Even I was surprised as I expected him to crash my game!
Yeah I encountered him twice on night 4 literally last night. He didn’t get to my office though… and I didn’t know he was rare
