- In this video, I talk about my FAVORITE FNAF remake project: Five Nights at Freddy's 6: FREAKSHOW! This is a fan remake of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator that aims to rebuild the entire game from the ground up to make it more in line with the other games in the core FNAF series. It's more so toward how high quality fnaf fangames get cancelled super often for random reasons, but the biggest being passion projects can be burn outs. But Scott really isn't one to sue anyway, especially if they're not making money off it

Honestly getting to see the animatronics move during salvaging isn’t nearly as scary as the original as it would really mess with you psychologically as you wouldn’t be entirely sure if the animatronic actually moved or if it’s just your imagination
yeah that's what i was thinking. it's cool to see movement but it's ruined more than anything
it’s a really good way of introducing psychological horror into the gameplay loop, there’s few things that make you more uncomfortable/scared than not being able to trust yourself and i love it

im sure someone has already said it by now, but the reason they redid the voices was most likely for legal reasons. you cant just use someones voice acting without their permission. it's illegal. fan remakes almost always have to revoice the game.
EDIT: it has been several months since i made this comment and i still get 12 year olds replying with a wild misunderstanding of what it means, so let me rephrase it in a clearer way:
voice acting is copyrighted material, and voice actors have clauses in their contracts obligating the studios that use their work to seek out and remove unlicensed uses of it, even in cases where they might otherwise let something like a harmless fan remake slide, so it was probably for legal reasons. even if scott doesnt believe in copyright striking fan material, he still has to sign contracts with voice actors agreeing to enforce certain protections on the material they record for him, which again, IS copyrighted audio in the same way music is.

Ever since the fanverse initiative I've been unable to stop bringing myself to loving fnaf content, these videos really help with it as well since it kindles an old love for the series that I had growing up but then "outgrew". Letting me stay up to date with it all in such a busy life and learning about the past of the fandom and its creations too, youtubers like you are doing god's work when it comes to keeping me loving the old things that I forced myself out of for the sake of maturity so thank you for that and much love 🤍
Mature adults can still like FNAF or any other things that people liked when they were younger. Just enjoy what you enjoy!

It's rare to see a FNAF 6 fan game, let alone such an amazing and promising game, but the demo looks amazing and I'd love to play it
9:15 that's because remake projects from other games have been officially terminated for reusing the original dialogue dub, with the biggest example being the Fallout 3 remake Capital Wasteland. It used the same dubs from the original, and the project was terminated, but then brought back to life again by another team, which now use their own dubs. I guess the Freakshow devs were scared to lose their game

@@thesand1714 He might not, but depending on how the voice acting is licenced, the original actors might - simply put, there are two options:
1. The voice acting is turned over fully to Scott, meaning he has full licensing control over the performances - i.e., if he doesn't care, it doesn't matter.
2. The performances are licenced out to Scott for the purpose of FNAF. In this case, the original performer may still have control over the performance, and it may be within the rights to go after alternate, unlicensed uses of their performance. While it's likely option 1, option 2 is still a possibility. And besides, fan games are a legal dark-grey area at the best of times. The less you're ripping from the original IP, the better.

They probably were hoping to get permission to use the official voice files at a later time and simply re-recorded them for the time being for cutscene duration and timing.

I mean, it was only ever released in the demo form, and a lot of video games do this exact thing. They'll record fake crappy placeholder lines so that they can get the timings of the cutscenes down correctly, and then they'll re-record the lines later. Who knows.
While I do love Scraptrap's redesign, I can't get over his teeth. In the dark they're fine, but in the light of the office they look like big marshmallows. It's like Grandpa Afton decided to get a new set of dentures.

I wish there was a way to play just the tycoon sections of Pizza Sim. It's the only part of the game I'm good at. I can manage the salvage section, but the office section kills me. I'm pretty sure the only reason I beat night one after starting a new save is that I didn't buy anything at a discount, meaning there probably wasn't anything in the building to kill me.
If youre on a computer, you could use task manager to skip the nights, if you're not then good luck.

I think it would be awesome if we got a game where it’s just a pizzeria tycoon, obviously it would be more in depth than fnaf 6 was on it. I wouldn’t really care if lore was revealed in it or not because it sounds so fun

Ok I can understand the reason to revoice everything as Scott and any of his voice actors could have sued for reusing audio without consent which is a big thing in the voice acting scene

If you haven’t already thought of this, or nobody has recommended it, you HAVE to do a video on the Jollibees games, they’re incredibly underrated and were banned by the actual company, it’s a worth while video and an interesting story.
those games are awesome. i never finished either of them, but played both. i might actually replay them from this comment
edit: after looking for the game, i just realized the game was completely banned. i thought you meant it was just banned in the Philippines. that sucks :/
I find it hilarious that they thought the Jolly games were bad for their brand, when they probably helped people become more aware of it! It sure did for me.

another canned fnaf fangame I loved was sinister turmoil, like the original version with the normal animatronics missing their eyes with exaggerated sharp metal teeth. it probably wasn’t destined to become a full thing, but i absolutely LOVED the vibe and had the renders of the characters as my old computer wallpaper for the longest time

i think sinister turmoil either got a new game or a reboot in 2020! i haven't seen any of it myself though.
The whole Fredbear's Funland premise kicked ass too, massive shame. Hopefully the remake of Sewers is a good send off
My gripe with the Lefty redesign isnt how it looks, but the context behind Lefty.
Lefty was made by Hendry as a way to lure the puppet, his daughter, into it and then have them sent to the Pizzaria along with the others, so it being an otherwise faulty Freddy is fine to me. Here, to me, it feels like they took the more feminine approach a bit too hard and it tries to be appealingly attractive, which I dont think is the best for something with a child's soul trapped inside of it.

1. Internet ruined ya, Toy Chica in FNAF 2 is hardly even sexualized
2. Even then, Toy Chica was made purely for children's entertainment. Lefty was made solely to house the Puppet then be potentially sold for $5.
@@GamingEelektross Still, how does Lefty looking more feminine contradict that it was created to attract a soul of a girl? For me, it makes more sense this way, Scott previously even said that animatronics' genders match the genders of resident souls.
And my point with Toy Chica was that she's equally as attractive as this Lefty is. It's not a design which was never done before, Lefty is even the same plastic animatronic as the toy designs.
Granted, I still don't like the change too much myself, but considering that it's a fangame which naturally needed to stand out from the original and my reasoning towards why it still kinda works, I can give it a pass. Scraptrap from PizzaSim itself is worse than any of this, and that's an official product.

One thing I don't fully understand about FNaF 6 is how silent ventilation helps you. If you're making the ventilation silent throughout the whole building, wouldn't that just make your noises much more noticeable. If you're talking at a normal voice level at a concert compared to a library, the library will be much more noticeable as there's nothing masking that noise.
Think about it this way: they are atracted to noise, not just the sounds of your computer. The vent is loud so having it making no sound means they're less likely to go over there because the audio lure or even some random ambient sound near them would be louder than your computer.
My only complaint was that I felt like they could have altered the plot a bit to fit the 'Freakshow' idea. Like making it an actual freakshow for the Animatronics, the theory of FNAF 6's plot that seems to be what the game is based on
to be fair, that could've easily been in the works for the full game before it was canned
I think it fits cuz the cast of characters in it are all completely different from one another, like a freakshow
I personally only like the changes to the task system. The reason I like the office sections of fnaf 6 so much is because The unreliability of your tools make it to where there’s no single strategy that works. The channel Etra Games did a video on this I believe. Also, something about the designs looks funny to me (especially scraptrap although he is still an improvement) and I don’t know what.
He looks like if FNAF was a Kingdom Hearts world and Goofy needed a disguise
Scraptrap looks more like a withered Chipper animatronic than a rabbit and in fact looks a lot like the beaver animatronics from Tyson and Sons. Lefty looks like a design you'd find in a lower tier FNAF fangame/ripoff. Baby's lower jaw looks a lot like Silver Age Joker's, which makes her look more masculine at best, outright awkward and goofy at worst. Molten Freddy is essentially just a headswap of Ennard now.

13:11 Just putting my thought out there, but I like to think that Molten Freddy being a blob mess works really well. It's helps show that without Elisabeth the other endos basically fall apart. This is also shown by how well put together ScrapBaby is compared to Molten Freddy.

Man I feel bad for this but at the same time, a bunch of fan projects have been canned for one reason or another lately. Although with this one, I honestly feel like if someone figured out how to mod the base Pizza Sim game with animations, extra scenes introduced, and just some general quality of life improvements, it could still live on as a major update or remake for the old game

Speaking of which, since you mentioned TDH, I'd love to see you make a video on it! I love that game, and I think it's criminally underrated in the FNaF community. In fact, I might even like it more than the core fnaf games myself, as far as the games themselves go. The artstyle and character designs alone stand above most of FNaF's imo. Would love to see some attention and more in-depth content brought to the game.

In og fnaf 6, I think molten freddy shouldve come down one of those prison bar vents on the roof, and you had to check for him like the biddy babs from sister location. You'd see his wires coming down and then you'd have to click on each one before he grabs the vent and trys to pry it open.
i understand how you feel about the cancellation cause i wad the exact same way with project box. checked it very frequently, was super hyped for it, looked absolutely amazing, and then cancelled out of the blue. super sad :(

One of the most underrated things I’ve seen is Malediction Chapter 1 (while it isn’t exactly a game, it gives off a nice illusion of it) it’s a choose your own adventure type CZcams video where the choices you make affect what happens. It has multiple endings and it’s amazing. It’s both horrifying and hilarious. I would love to see a video covering this… I think it genuinely deserves more attention.

I like the animations during the salvage section, but there’s one thing I think it could’ve done to raise the fear factor. The sheet of paper is just small enough that you can see the animatronics. If the animatronics had animations, but only moved while you had the sheet up, and the movement was just a slight twitch or something, that would be horrifying.
Saw this game a couple months ago and fell in love with it, so seeing it cancelled now is just heartbreaking.
Hopefully somebody out there picks up the pieces or something, cause it's THAT good as well.

I love it, just about any above and beyond fan made game in the FNAF universe seems to either be cancelled or shunted. Especially if they happen to be made for “free” by the devs very pockets and not fundings from others. Aftonbuild is a good example, great potential, terrible execution. It seems it’s a trend within the community
Aftonbuild didn't get finished either and did not made into an fanverse, it was bigger game with bigger plans but since they didn't have enough money to continue due to not getting into the fanverse and their financial situation project got cancelled and what you got is just unfinished test demo.

The original voice acting for fnaf 6 were just too good nothing could ever compare especially that last monologue still one of my favs and I cry everytime(embarrassing)

That Molten Freddy jumpscare is really cool. Kinda reminds me of the FNAF 4 jumpscares where the camera is actually interacted with instead of just using a shitty screen shake filter or turning the environment to black, which also makes the environments look more 3D and immersive.

Please cover POPGOES by Kane Carter. It's one of my favorite fnaf fan games and it does a good job of not only designs but with how much you have to juggle, how stressful the game can be, and the complexity of the story line. I think you would enjoy this game a lot. Hope to see a future video on it!!

I hope somebody else could finish this amazing fangame for the main developer. They could expand and improve plenty of things in this game, but they need to understand what the main developer's vision for it was. Hope that this fangame will eventually release

i wish they kept the upgrade system where you can buy handymen to make the tasks go by faster from pizzeria simulator
maybe the first task (white bar) would make the bar shrink less and the cursor slower, or just one of them
task 2 (hold) could have just been faster

I still prefer the office section in the original tbh. The simplicity of it, and not being able to see the animatronics or tell where they are, make it the most scary and stressful to me out of any other fnaf game, fan games included.
