That's interesting specially that a real fight dont happen like this Uechi ryu is interesting but if that is it those people will lose there face as soon as they start trying to apply those katas
they actually do fair very well in full contact sports, a lot of uechi practicioners (which aren't many and mostly the young ones) partake and fair well in both full-contact and knockdown karate. There is even this one pro mma fighter whose name I can't remember that also did Uechi. Also they spar during grading so it's not like they don't know how to get hit. This is the most straight forward karate style imo it's pretty cool.
This exact circular block will catch any kick, hook, overhand or jab while moving you outside the enemies line of attack and then you will kill them with a stab to the neck or rip their eyes off. I've fought boxers with this and they will always be open for attack after their first move
@@cahallo5964 I really fell in love with this Uechi Ryu, but seems like there is none dojo available in my area. What do you think if I learn this kata by myself?
In terms of kata application uechi has the most straightforward and easy to understand.
Yes it seems like it's the case
Good bunkai...

You don't understand what they do and if one connects, you will be seriously injured or dead..
