usa offers world class education for higher studies. But, getting a job after graduation is nearly impossible in the current market and its expected to get even worse. Be prepared to return to India if things don’t go as planned. Also, think if spending 60 lakhs rupees is worth given that getting a job post graduation is highly unlikely. Just for your information, us citizens pay less than half of what the students from India pay by spending their parents generational wealth. Part times, assistantships, internships and jobs in general are highly discriminatory towards Indian students given the little chances of getting visa(h1b) and high cost of sponsorship and even if you get one, you would have limited time per week to work, while you see undergraduate students who are us nationals earning way more than what they pay for tuition fee doing internships, jobs, research without any kind of restriction on the working hours. Don’t go by the anecdotal stories of success from your friends and families which might have heard few years back.(we are just cash cows for usa).
My brother is going to ASU this fall for ms cs. He has an experience of 1 yr as sde and has an internship experience of 6 months. Based on the current market situation is it a right call for pursuing masters and also what are the odds that he ll get a job provided?
Truly inspirational story . But what percentage of I Dian students had to come back to India after exploring and trying all options available to them . Please share that data

Hi yudi. I’m coming to the US for ms in project management at Northeastern University this fall. I’ve seen that people are finding it very hard to even get internships. Don’t know what to do now. Whether to stay or leave. Please guide me(I’m a fresher btw)
Its a tough call bro, would suggest you to think about it again. I did my MS from NEU as well. USA is a high risk game, you have to execute a lot of things in tandem to survive there. And at the end of it all, after H1B the green card waiting line for Indians are 100 yrs +. It would feel like you are riding in two boats but belong no where. So, unless you are highly skilled and have some chance of getting extra ordinary visa, you cannot think of USA as long term option. Canada is also not so great either, with lower wage compared to USA & average home price at $ 2M, you cannot think of settling there as well.
Actually, I want to clear that my parents are already in US on R2 visa and know I applied for my F1 visa if they ask about parents what should I do tell them clearly or no need to show that they are in USA
hey Yudi, I am coming to Boston this fall for MBA in suffolk university and have a 3.5 years of experience in sales management as a manager in a startup company in India. do you think post course my profile is good for companies ??
Hi can you pls guide me on my below query. I got H1B visa in year 2023 and it's valid from Jan 23- Dec 26. But due to some family issues I could not yet travelled to USA and I am still in India. Can you pls guide as H1B approved in Jan 23 but I coudnt travelled till April 24 (approx 1.5 years). Is this time period wasted from my total 6 years H1B approval period. Can I anyhow request this 1.5 years once I am in usa and it will get added in my stay period OR its wasted completely. Pls clarify.
Graduated as a dentist in dec 2023. In ds 160 Can i mention i was volunteering in dental camps and doing online courses since then? Does mentioning volunteering mess the situation? I’m going for ms health informatics (IT)
I think that's a good experience. Overall you will have an edge but the question is how will prepare for it and showcase that will determine your chances.

Hard to say. But looks like he has good profile so as long as he works hard, applies right strategy, he will be good.

You should be honest about your situation but tell officers that your intention is to study.
