I like the idea for reversing the press. I have the identical one and have wondered about changing the dies.

I use one of two things. Either my Press or I use and hand press tool. You can pick up this one tandyleather.com/products/stitching-hole-spring-leather-punch or check out Amazon, they have lots of options.

Can yo use the Tandy Press for the plastic Cam Snaps?
I have not tried so I'm not sure.
For leather stitching, what is the type of thread, how much is the tack, and what is the size of the needle?
I don’t work in leather so I honestly have no clue.
