However, that Tor is a gorgeous knife and formidable tool for bushcrafting, or survival, hunting and camping, even just to gaze upon. Great video, before this one I was sure the MB or the TRC Apo were the only two options I would consider regarding big knives but now I have yet another option to ponder 👌😱 And I hardly ever use a knife bigger than 24-25cm!

Good video because I like the knives in it very well! Also good action, especially the one minute fire. I have liked the Northern Lights series for decades, just never pulled the trigger. I really like Mikkie B's personal knives! Your give aways are generous! I checked out your shop. I'll keep going back. I have been unable to find a store or online retail to get a TRC. I think Classic Freedom is the one for me! DBK Apocalypse just staggers me, thinking of owning it, or Speed Demon.
Those two knives are both comically good and expensive, there were parts in this video where I just burst out laughing at such absurdly good knives. I know that the skill of the knife user also matters a lot but these two knives are really on another level
They’re both way overpriced for what they are, and there are many “absurdly good knives” at fractions of the price.

I bought my Nl1 10 years ago..and I did find the dry leather handle to be slippery. However with several coats of Snow Seal, the beeswax made the handle very tacky and grippy, like rubber..and also protects the leather.
It must be THURSDAYYYYYYYYY!! And damn if the Wodan Boys don’t sound great!

I've heard that the Cold Steel San Mai Trailmaster is made by the same factory that makes the Fallkniven N1 tor. They're the same blades but the Fallkniven has the upgraded sheath and handle. DBK should do a comparison.

im not a collector and i only have 3 knives, but im glad Thor is one of them. The leather on the handle gets less slippery with time after you use it a bit. Tho i guess MB is a little better at its job, i wouldnt change it for my Thor :)
these two knives need a slightly hooked butt on the handle, to allow good purchase for chopping. Randall used to put a handle on them that was shaped a little like a thomahawk or hammer handle.

"Bloody amazing" or not, I'll still keep my Cold Steel Trail Master San Mai III, thank you very much! I've never been convinced about that handle method, especially in wet conditions. The Trail Master handle, by contrast, NEVER slips. But then, I would never do the crazy stuff you blokes do to knives. I use them for the purposes for which they were designed. 😉😉😂😂

It’s chippy if you misuse it hitting it on hard mineral rocks sure. But for wood work this vg10 will never critically damage

I have the first knife you all showed and purchased it thinking that it was made in Germany, but instead found that it is made in China and have a German name on it. I keep it on one utility belt, but have never used it in a camping situation yet.

I have an old Carbon V Trailmaster and it’s amazing. Have a newer San Mai, the Japanese production and it’s also amazing. The San Mai was only $230 USD, I thought it was an incredible bargain.
