  • www.MassMetalHalide.com to learn more! It's a common misconception that Metal Halide bulbs are for veg only. When used properly, they can produce the best flowers, of higher quality than HPS or LED. Our website will talk you through all the details so you can have a successful grow using our lamp or any similar MH lamp in your grow!
    We are here to spread awareness and knowledge, and to offer one of the brightest MH bulbs with an amazing spectrum to the market. Our bulb has superior UV and IR, as well as a full balanced color spectrum for a bright, clear, white light, similar to sunlight.
    The Infrared region can't be produced in depth by LED lights and is very important in plant metabolism, nutrient usage and plant health. The full range of UV contributes to better quality.
    Our bulb can keep plants happy and healthy in a much wider range of conditions compared to LEDs.
    If you're in a cool climate, the extra warmth from the lamp can actually improve the electrical efficiency of your entire grow.
    Read more on all this and more at our website, MassMetalHalide.com and we hope you will enjoy our bulbs!
    Please follow all safety precautions on our website and on the lamp's box. Use at your own risk.

    I got a 600 watt for my dad and myself. This bulb is so high quality, It really does feel like sun light 🙂 thanks for looking out for the grower

    I got a similar 600 watt 10000k bulb for my street light
    It's definitely a less boring color than 4000k

    I still prefer a MH such as Horti Blue or Sunmaster Full Nova. I have yet purchased a large LED past 300 watt and I wouldn' t have gotten that if it were not so cheap on Black Friday. My electronic ballasts are in great shape and I see no need to change to LED.
    Question: If I were to enclose my reflector housing, would the glass block the UV from the bulb?

    • @MassMedicalStrains
      @MassMedicalStrains  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yeah, MH is king! An enclosed hood blocks a small percentage of light, and some UV. They say glass blocks UV, but from our testing, it doesn't seem to block it, only slightly reduce it. There's a real good deal on the iPower cool tube reflectors on Amazon right now, and having the cool tube rather than a flat glass panel allows more angular light to get through!

    So the much less expensive Photobio PAR meter isn't junk?

    I'm surprised these are still used with the efficiency of LED today

      In some cases, an MH garden can be more efficient than an LED garden, in other cases, an LED might be more efficient. It's a complex subject but in short, you need to calculate the electrical expenditure of your entire operation, not only your light source. Our website goes into detail on this. Also, MH are more efficient than previously thought, because a big portion of the energy wasn't being counted (outside PAR 400-700nm spectrum but now scientifically proves it is photosynthetically active, too) All of this and much more at MassMetalHalide.com
      Plus, quality is a whole other discussion :) what LEDs gain in "efficiency" is lost in missing portions of the spectrum, and it does change the plants.

    How does this light compare to CMH?

    • @christianmenendez5284
      @christianmenendez5284 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Better spectrum....brighter, more light.....higher yield, more cannabinoids, THC, CBD, cbg......

      Much more powerful than CMH. CMH is good for vegging, but not high enough power for flowering in my experience, cmh yield much smaller than MH.. The MH is a high frequency bulb, has a more sunlike spectrum 6000k, whereas CMH are much warmer color temp than sun at 3k or 4k... smh is low frequency so it is flickering 120x per second, MH is high frequency sine wave, more total light delivered over time by far, much deeper penetration, better yield, better genetic expressions in flower :) closest to nature as we can do

    Why?? Leds have better DLI and spectrum by far. You have to turn down leds and hids are not enough.

    • @MassMedicalStrains
      @MassMedicalStrains  Před 4 měsíci +3

      That's a misconception, the LED spectrum is completely artificial with large peaks in red and blue, changing the plant's metabolism and genetic expression, and LED's have a lack of IR spectra from 800-2000+ which is present in sun and mh, and latest science is starting to show how important it is. Also, the UV in less is lacking in a similar fashion, they only capture small segments of the full spectrum.
      In terms of visible light, yes, LEDs can deliver a lot of that, but they're missing out a lot of the important parts of the spectrum at the same time. HIDs being not enough makes no sense, they are definitely enough. Also, using either lighting type, you can easily achieve the desired light levels by putting the lamp at the appropriate distance to your plant canopy. Read MassMetalHalide.com for more info!

      LEDs rock for certain genetics that’s only with uva supplementation and vpd. LEDs suck at growing og, chems, bubbas, etc etc. I’m switching back because I only like gas. Unfortunately I can’t upgrade the hvav in my facility , what’s a good light to run to replace my gavita 1700 LEDs with equivalent amperage draw. Do you make any bulbs for 600s?
