After playing this game for 5 months and when to have a look at my dad's car, he was suprised and I loved it xD
I used to be a KIA Mechanic, and a Field Engineer on Drilling Rigs, and a Production Foreman overseeing show setup at the Orlando Convention Center, now I am a Maintenance Tech,
so I will just say, I bought this 2 days ago and I am working my way up. Definitely going to get a Hemi Cuda going ASAP. Thanks for the video, I am sure you have already painted
the Vette so on to part two, you keep talking all you want, and make as many corrections to "Real Life" mechanic procedures as you wish. You got a thumbs up and sub from me.
As an automotive technician this commentary is extremely relaxing
MATTG35 same here
Yep.
This is absolutely fascinating to watch. From someone who knows very little about cars, it seems like a great learning experience.
This almost makes automotive repair interesting to me, almost. Well done
I’m a auto body “technician in training” and when u said “rusted fiberglass” I was like HOLD UP WHAT
this game really does make the engine look simpler than it actually is.
Honestly an old 350 like that is not hard to understand. Probably the most easy to get and understand.
I never would have thought I would find someone that's auto-literate play this game. It's almost like watching the most in depth resto TV show
I don't know what kind of junkyards you guys have but in the junkyards I've been to they always drain all vehicles from fluids when they receive them.
Lol. I wish Junkyards around here cared to do that
Plan to binge watch while recovering from surgery
What happened? Are you okay now?
These games are alright when it comes to teaching about how cars work in the most basic way, while still being fun.
WOW so glad i found these videos. When I first got into computers I had the Commodore64 system and with that i got the game Street Rod which i can almost assume that this game is a future product of. Brings some really good flashback memories and reminds me of the hours i spent tuning and racing trying to run the Big Boss down. Nice informative vids Moose i'll be watching more and also acquiring this game. Love it cheers mate....SUBSCRIBED>>>
I just discovered his CZcams and for some reason his voice makes me happy
This was really interesting to watch a professional play this. I know nothing about engines or cars but I did notice that when you were putting the screws back on the V8 Engine Head you alternated top and bottom left and right just like in real life. Love that attention to detail :D. 34:38
Those are the most expensive junk cars on the planet. Most of those wouldn't cost that much after they're all fixed up. At least the parts to repair are not model-specific like they are in the real world. That makes it a lot easier. Also knowing what you're doing really helps, as obviously you're a professional mechanic.
Dude, get the Van and make it a Shop vehicle with Crager rims delivery with Pizza boxes and Mountain Dew cans everywhere! LOL
Your a cool CZcamsd you actually know something about cars unlike other CZcamsrs
Surprisingly user friendly content . Huge info offered on few clicks on.
man i can hear you all night long... ur voice is very calm and i fell to sleep :D not ironically.
wish that semi truck was for sale
i know mothing about the game , never played it , looks fun , gonna search it , just wanted to say ur really great with the explanation during ur gameplay , very informative, and i'm pretty sure it's helpful for anyone who plays the game cause it doesn't look easy tbh, anyways , good video sir
even though i know very little about cars, this was very interesting to watch
I think my favorite part of this video is that the commentary is largely indistinguishable from an actual person who does this IRL
As soon as you said I will meet you guys at the shop boom ad
Not stalking shit but have seriously not hear of crankshaft pully before? ive called it that and heard it called that for years
Cool video! I've never heard of this game but it looks like it might be fun to play.
Never played a game like this before but u made it seem very interesting I love the concept of taking stuff from scrapyards and making something awesome to me it's like treasure hunting 👍
I happened across your channel when fishing planet was a thing, now I happened across it again. I guess that means I'll have to sub
Mistermoose you helped me make the same car thank you for the help this was the first car ive made thanks
I think some people think this was made as like... A training module. "Well it doesn't have this part and this is incorrect and in real life it would be this part first and you wouldn't touch this shaft until you did this first etc etc" They have to make a simulator that is also fun and accessible to the lay person. It would be difficult to make it a game for inexperienced people to pick up and play if it truly had every nut and bolt and engine part of every real life make and model. They talked about how they had to make the mechanics of the game be working on cars, designing them and fixing them, and profiting, they didn't want to focus on whether or not every motor was true to form.
Not my type of game .....
..However after watching this i know more about my real life car .
Great vid
I'm not a big gamer at all, but I've had a lot of experience working on cars and restoring some cars including a 1966 Mustang 289 and my 1995 Mustang GT. I believe I have just found a game that I can unregrettably spend hours on. Haha
I've been thinking of how I could learn how to work on cars in case the situation comes up where I need to fix my car in the future. This game looks like a good way to help me learn that.
Its not a good way at all,it only teaches parts names,it certainly would not teach you to fix cars.
Im 16 and I have learned so much about cars just playing my summer car and car mechanic
Oh man you're making me want to play this game :D I don't know much about technical side of cars and this seems like a good opportunity to learn more about what goes where.
And, again, I wouldn't do this in real life just yet.
And, again, I wouldn't do this in real life just yet.

BRO WE GET IT. ITS A VIDEO GAME.
I cut the sound for this reason.
I think he forgot that he was playing a game because clearly he's a mechanic so maybe he had some PTSD triggers and spazzed out lol. Every few seconds "Well in real life it would be THIS way not THAT way. In real life I would do xyz not zyx. In real life I would put one in at a time not two. In real life you'd replace the bearings too not just this. In real life I'd pull the shaft first. In real life I would screw in the piston one at time and rotate it completely. Again in real life etc." Good lord. Just go to work at that point.
Saltatia seriously? Too far dude. He's just trying to make a point. I understand that it's funny he keeps saying that but saying he has a mental disorder is just messed up. Get a reality check
Im glad he actually says that stuff. I have zero experience as a mechanic, and its nice to know what the game gets right and what it doesnt as far as realism goes.
finally! been waiting for the next game, checking steam every few months. just saw this video and was blown away its real so thanks for that
in canada we drain all liquid out of the car before parking it in the ward. we pull the gas tank off too that's how we power all the equipement so make sure before you crash to have a full tank. thank you !!
Good video dude, seems a relaxing game to play and as i know pretty much nothing about cars I'll maybe learn something! This video sold the game to me!
In Canada, or at least in my neck of the woods, junk yard/pick n pulls are required by law to drain all fluids out of the vehicle before it goes out on the yard, due to environmental concerns. If the company is caught putting out vehicles with fluids still inside (and it has happened) they can face stiff and serious fines.
Moose I did a restoration on the reptilian r2 and the value of the finished car is $113000
I'm so excited for xbox 1, I have to try this game.
Love how the engine pulled from the C3 corvette has a distributor cap at the front, which only Ford engines are made that way... So we have a ford motor that came out of a Chevy... Blasphemy...
Some Chrysler motors have a front mounted distributor too.
Cadillac had it also
International harvester truck engines as well
big block Mopars also have front mount dizzy
there are also companies that make performance kits in the 60s and 70s to relocate distributors to the front for chevy small blocks to get the engine tighter to firewall. also modern NASCAR engines have front mounts. and gm does have a few engines with front mounted dizzies but none of which came factory or an option for the 3rd gen vetts unless its got the relocation kit.. hahah
First video I've seen that you make and within the first 25 mins I subbed because you are actually awesome and know your stuff, I love it and I love that you know what you're talking about. Have a good day bud!
Oh thanks J&S Gaming. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the sub, I appreciate the support.
Aw, I love my C4, I think it's a gorgeous car.
you are good at cars
i like this game it take hours to completely rebuild a engine but irl takes months
I subscribed just because of how knowledgeable you are, love the video.
Scrolling through pages and pages of parts is most definitely not faster than just using the search function.
Mazaron prayers for not listening. SEARCH isn't working currently
On the stored parts list only. Plus the first time he didn't mention that, just that he felt it was slower to use the search.
You're probably right, my bad! Glad the search function is confirmed working now though.
Mazaron ive tried it and, unless you have a really fast scroll wheel, it’s slow
Pro tip: use search bar often, saves time
Add races and this is how Street Rod 3 should look like!
Now I have to watch pt. 2 to see if it runs without a coil wire!!
this looks very fun, and i have to say that i really enjoy watching it. Definitely understand that there is probably more things that they can add to the game, but you for sure got a new subscriber.
Hey this video was made on my birthday!
This the first video I've watch of this guy and I love him seriously THE BEST also I subbed
Wish this was on consoles enjoy your videos
Lewis Payne it is on console
dont forget the radiator cap moose :)
Wow I'm starting to really hate being a console lemming. Games like this are things I ve dreamt about .Also love the educational. value that simulators have teaching you while having fun.
This look awesome. I'll have to pick it up. Reminds me of street rodder.
What is this? A let's play for dads? Who is this for? Something to watch when motor trend is off air?
Tip to dev team: Engine timing mini game. the higher the score, the more horse power and selling price.
hope one day they'll create a motorcycle mechanic simulator !!!
awesome cid. i think they could add torque wrenches and specs, as well as some way of making the wrenching difficult at times. like you could break a bolt off and have to drill it and tap it. loving this game. i hope they make it a multiplayer racer/car show as well.
I love dis game!
Is this Rutledge from top gear
Cam Ballou. I can't 'un-hear' Rutledge now while watching....definitely sounds a lot like him.
You are watching the incorrect version. Switch to the UK version mate, much better. Except now it's called *The Grand Tour* and it's on Amazon or your nearest bootleg website. Cheers
(Actually I have never seen the Mercan one, but British imports just don't go well here.)
Cam Ballou American top gear is not top gear and needs to be burned and erased from existence
Its his secret youtube channel lol
Wowthatsfail I'm American and agree with that statement. Our version sucks.
I love how the "corvette" has a 351M/400M ford in it based on the modeling and dished pistons
I would actually like to see a video from your real job. It would be real Nice and interesting
I love this video
I don't know that much about cars, but I love the concept of this game. Do you think this would be playable for someone like me, who only knows the basics of a car?
I love your videos you no that
I'm like that's not how you take that apart. then I have to keep reminding myself it's just a game. lol love the video and I sub
this guy just needs to talk about the car not complaining about the game he needs to be happy that he has a game like this not complain about it
Actually if you have "car value" perk, you gonna see that the cars in junkyard are overpriced with thousands. In auction house is the same - it goes over the value. The cheapest option are the barns - in 80% of time you buy cars with thousands under the value, that's why the barns are so rare (you get one for every level).
irl junkyard finds usually have the gas tank, diff, and oil pan punctured and drained.
resident sleeper gameplay, wrap it up
Thank God, I at least did a Highschool Autoshop, where all i did was take apart and put ack together engines.
This is like Westcoast Customs, they restored cars, they helped them.
Never install a engine when you still have to sand down everything below the hood
YUM YUM "again, probably wouldn't do this in real life." 😂😂
like your work
great video :) liked and subscribed
In my experience of junking cars the junk yard tends to drain the fluids. At least that's how they do it in Indiana. So it doesn't just evaporate
24:12 I put the bolts in the connecting rod and i put a long piece of rubber hose on each bolt so it safely guides itself onto the crankshaft.
Sounds like Owen Wilson ..... wow!
This is cool
The verbiage is off because this game is created oversea's. And I don't know about where you live, but all cars going into the junkyard get drained of all fluids before going in the yard. Also, they don't usually accept tires.
Not always true. I have seen many lots that don't drain until they are ready to place for scrap. I think it really depends on the lot and how they process the car. I know I scrapped an El Camino once and had to remove the tires. However, some pull a part lots will take the whole car and sell the rims. I have also purchased a Jeep before that was sitting in on a yard with 4 flat tire and still had all the fluids minus fuel. Again, I think it depends on the lot, their intentions for the car and the type of operation.
I love building cars in future i will be carmehanic. 😄
The early C3 vettes (this particular car) were steel body cars like the later C2’s. I’ve owned my fair share of classic cars 😉
So basically what I’m sayin is that your thinking it’s a C3.3 the last generation of this particular bodystyle. After that until the C5 all cars were fiberglass then they switched to aluminum to stay light but also increase structural support.
Good vid man.keep up the good work.i subscribed and turned on Notifications.
if you never heard of a crankshaft pulley then you obviously dont know the difference between a harmonic balancer and a crankshaft pulley. Go learn something today.
I was enjoying it until your comment about the c4 vet.
Hey man don’t mind the haters I can tell you know what your doing by how your putting the bolts in
OH IM DROOLIN' MAN!!! MY LIFE AS A VIDEO GAME!!! ( still though, a LOT of technical aspects are missing!!! but cool none the less!!! )
Wow, great content. Although I'd really like you to use the search function, it just annoys me knowing you'd find stuff so much quicker that way
Its a great game,I used to play it but i don't have the patience for fixing cars and stuff, btw they should add a (DRAG RACE MODE).
I owned a C4 Corvette (the one he hated) and C3 Corvette (the one he bought). I prefer the looks of the C3 but the handling is much better in the C4
I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I do like this game. Does that make sence if you are not into it irl? Also; Can u really learn from this game? If you know what you are doing in-game. Do u make any chance IRL? Not really in depth, but basic stuff alteast? Great video!
the problem you were having with the Engine Head was the Manufacturer you needed one but had the other.
in a junkyard one of the first things they do is drain the fluids to prevent leaks
I have seen so many comments hating on this guy and I'm just saying tô please stop saying mean things to him if you don't like him don't watch him it suprizes me that people get so mad to the point of a hate comment being added to the sitch and I'm making this comment to pretext new and cool you tubers anyways have a great day
thats youtube...haters gonna hate, no matter what or who.....frustrated ppl i guess, who cares^^
Aiden Smith freedom of speech
by the way you can use the search box when looking for parts, just saying
