- After finishing our Rx-7 it is off to the junkyard for our next project car, and we happen to stumble across something fantastic.

Before he lifted the Ford I was laughing. If he thought the suspension setup on the Aston was simple...that Ford should be leaf spring city.
I can confirm the rx7 rear seats are genuinely that pointless. I removed my back seats because unless you have any legless friends you won't be needing them 😅

a lot of guys put double-wishbone suspension from - wait for it - the Mustang II on hot rods, since it's a really compact, easy-to-install setup that massively improves handling
I once crammed my 6' frame into a 'fried egg' Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. It hurt like hell. I had no legroom whatsoever and my neck was jammed forward by the C-pillar being at shoulder height. Back end of an RX-7 is a limousine by comparison. I don't regret it though. Terrific ride indeed, plus the massage courtesy of the gutsy Flat-6 mere inches from my ass.
And we all know theres nothing like having a motor attached to your ass :D
I'm 6' as well, and I own a '77 Mini Cooper. You don't get in it, you put it on like pants. 1 leg at a time. Amazingly, 80% of the mass of the car is devoted to interior, and other than a bit of a low ceiling and a wish for longer arms, it's not that bad. 5 adults could fit in it without much trouble, despite the fact it's only 5 feet wide and 10 feet long. You could lay down behind it, and a 1968 or a 2007 charger would still be longer than the mini and you combined.

8:11 I found the same issue with the junkyard not showing the clio parts. to see if there is an engine in the clio, use overview mode.

rx 7 rear seats depends on the model. I owned a gen 2 and there were no real rear seats but they could be installed if I remember right. In mine there was just storage where the seats would be.
You need to try and find a lotus Carlton, it has forza spoiler and splitter options aswell

i think the rear seats are like that due to some classification rules in Japan. A 2 seater gets taxed differently than a "4" seater there.
Alex, FYI the ford had rear transverse leafsprings, and one parallel leaf spring at the front.
It is, with a lot of other car too. Usually you can identify those by the fact that they arent listed as 4 or 5 seaters, but 2+2, the +2 are more of an emergency seating arrangement. Obviously the only way to seat someone there is by giving the front seats less room and even then only children can sit comfortable. It has its advantages though, I had a 944 and was never asked if I could drive a group of people home, despite it being possible :P
Can confirm, the rear seats of an FD are almost exactly like that. They're so deep that even if you take out a front seat they're still really odd to sit in.

Sunny Lam Yeah, some of the FC cars came as a 2+2 configuration. Most came as a 2 seater.

My friend had an FB but it was really rusty so he sold it. He recently bought an e36 325i. Neither of us have a licence yet.
I think it's odd he's having such difficulty finding RX-3's. Whenever I go to the junkyard, it seems like there's a 90% chance of one spawning for me. I see them everywhere in this game
Not sure if it's true but I've heard sometimes they slap a rear seat in coupes even when it'd be totally impractical to use so that they are nominally 4 seaters instead of 2 seaters because that affects the insurance rates

The DB5 is a GT Car it's not really meant for high performance besides it isn't a terrible performing car for a 1960s car 282 hp and 143 mph on a 60s straight six and a 0-60 in 8s according to Wikipedia.
Aston Martin blatantly lied about *almost* every spec on the car except the price tag. It was a very british motorcar for upper crust to brag to their mates and dates about, not much else. The ONLY reason it's considered a treasure is it's iconic heritage thanks to Ian Fleming's James Bond and the original Italian Job with Sir Michael Caine. Given a choice between one of the 2 different Lotus Esprits used in the later james bond movies, I'd still take the DB5 with machine guns, armor plate, and ejector seat.

The 34 ford would have had a solid axle and be completely different than that whole car when stock, but that was a hotrod.
I've tried sitting in the back of Audi TT. About the same amount of legroom as here.

better question is why the rx7 fd has a back seats in the game and not in real life
ACETHAT1 you could have either a pair of storage bins or seats depending on what part of the world you're in. For example, The US only got the '93 spec cars with storage bins whereas in Japan the '93 and '99 spec cars all had rear seats.

Of course the suspension on the ford isn't correct. No straight axle, no front leaf spring, etc. I guess they were going for the whole, "somebody scrapped this in the 80's"
It's actually more a case of we don't have the option of custom suspension or engines, so we make do with what we have
The Burger King it's probably meant to be a hot rod I mean I'm just assuming that from the fact it has a supercharged v8 which I don't believe they had back then so it would have been converted to a newer suspension layout when it was first rebuilt
Aiden Doak - Golly Wog was right. There's only a certain number of suspension setups in the game and the ford is a mod.
Now if it was a hot rod, it would at the very least have a straight axle. The one Alex bought looks like it would be a street rod with the more modern suspension and fenders on it, oh yeah and the supercharged V8.
Considering it's a supercharged chop top I'm pretty sure they changed the suspension setup

can confirm rx7 rear seats are basically non existent - some versions just take them out completely and place a removable panel to make your trunk like 12 inches longer lol.
DB5's are worth around £900'000 to £1'000'000 and rising, so a mint shell would easily be worth £75'000, or more...
Alex the ford would of originally had a transverse leafspring front suspension layout.
don't forget about the straight axle as well

@FailRace Honestly I have a Scion FRS and the back leg room is basically identical to this, So I've got no problems whatsover to believe the RX7 dos'nt have more leg space than that :P
Try a third gen camaro it litteraly touches the front seats my buddy drives one and i had to shove myself into one

You sold the Galant wihtout the 100% global body condition, to get to the 100% you have to clean the interior with cart that appers at 0:52 almost in front of the dyno, only costs $100 but is necessary to get to 100% in global body condition.
I used to be able to sit in the back seats of rx7. Mind you my mum is shory and I was 8. It technically is a seat but more of a little compartments

all the 90s Japanese sports cars have those tiny back seats for insurance reasons....4 seater insurance isn't quite what a 2 seater is

andrew22334455, at the time tdp2612 provided, there you can see it is not removable as it is translucent and whited out like the rest of the body of the car.
EDIT: I didn't hear the first time round Alex said "ok, maybe it doesn't have rear seats." a few seconds afterwards. my bad.

You basically have to be a amputee to fit in the back seats, it is impossible to get in them

your luck with the mustangs was really sad @10:45, 2 '67's, at least one was a fastback, which were more desirable, but the 64.5-66 mustangs were the best looking imo. You wandered around the yard saying there wasn't much else of value, right about the time you walked right past a dodge superbird with the rear wing and raised white letter tires. And a late 60's pontiac GTO went unnoticed. I mean yeah, 32 coupes are great, but you missed some true classics.

Rear seats in RX-7 FD are just for taxes. For 4 seater are texes in japan lover than for 2 seater. Rear seats wer only in japanese models. Rest of the world were only 2 seater with storage boxes instead rear seats.
