We often say that food heals. It is more accurate to say that the body heals itself with nutrients from the food. Nutrients need to be metabolised to have any effect. That's the best argument for a balanced diet. Give your body every nutrient and it will use the ones it needs to heal.

Not going to lie, Ive done all of the diets, having candida issues. Having a mostly fruitarian/alkaline approach (organic berries, melons, light avocado) for about 85%, then later in the day having a grounding meal of a large salad with avocado and lean protein (fish is best), has made me feel the best. To each their own. We really must try to be intuitive and cater to our own specific needs. I have issues with mucus and the lymph system, so I need fruit to help pull it.

There is a GREAT, GREAT deal of thought that goes into what I buy at the grocery store. I probably know more than most about this subject.
Everyone’s bodies, etc., are a bit different. That’s why we buy different sorts of things…. Kinda. I wouldn’t recommend an all pastries/bacon/candy/fruit juice/soda diet of course…
Beans for fiber (poop). I only have 5% of my diet with these guys.
Nuts, Avocado, olives and seeds for your nuts, poop and skin/hair. I have like 30% of my diet coming from these guys.
Red meat, poultry, and eggs for muscles and libido, yes. This is easily another 25% of my diet.
Fish/seafood for brain health, hormones/libido (like nuts), and bones. About 5% of my diet.
Veggies and herbs/spices for bones, poop, living a long time, staying healthy, etc. About 10% of my diet, calorie-wise that is.
Fruits for energy, poop and staying young. About 15% of my diet.
Dairy for…. For funzies, ok? Eh. I only eat vanilla bean ice cream with no corn syrup, etc. here anyway. Also a bit of dark chocolate, similar but eh, I’ll include this with my ice cream in the dairy/dessert category. About 5% of my diet.
Grains/starches for a little bit more energy, if you need it. Plus poop. 5% of my diet.
(Lots of stuff for poop. Gotta have nice poops…. 🤪🤪🤪)
    Everyone drinks water…. I think…. 🤪🤪🤪. Meee 2.

Academic people are taught to do their own research and write scientific papers and research based on the research they made from other studies and papers.

Something removed ur comment Collapsing Ruins.
„In other words: follow the rules of the system we have invented to immunize ourselves, or the rulers of the system will come after you.”
No, in the science and academic environment, your thoughts and theories, your research and all your work is being put to the test, its being questioned and challenged by many people smarter than you.
And it is only your responsibility to prove them wrong and convince them that your words are true.
You are not getting a degree by just learning some stuff about X topic, you need to create and defend it and learn yourself about stuff. Its not high school.

@@Klaudiuszeg You are very idealistic, what you describe is how it should be, not how it is. I was in academia for 12 years, free research dosnt exist, saw many profs ostracized and ridiculed for going off the accepted path and doing real research and telling the truth about certain things, they killed one of my friends two years ago and it was disguised as suicide. (Check out Clemens Arway The Biophilia Effect) If you question the prevailing narrative, you are out of the window. is not wanted, apart from that no one does research there anymore, they do studies that disregard their own foundations of research the Stanfort scandal, for example, has shown that this has all become a big bullshitting, as Hary Frankfurt put it. There is also no research, everything Academia comes up with is millennia-old knowledge, which they re-label with new fancy words and pretend to have found or invented something. Penecilin is a mold that grows in your kitchen. They give out Nobel prizes for that? Just one example of how ridiculous the inverted freaks are.

About this animal fiber... Maybe the feathers and fur are the equivalence to plant fiber. Think about that, only now we have these processed meats, but when we lived in caves, people did not have the patience to pluck whole chicken. It goes better with nose-to-tail whole food philosophy. If you can catch some squirrels and eat them raw, they may be high in fiber, because of their furry tails. Are there some chicken feather supplements? If you can not tolerate chicken, you can find some pigeon feathers on the street.

I've never had a doctor ask that question.
They only offer a vague suggestion as you leave that you should "eat better nutrition" without any description of what better is or specific tailoring to your genetics, allergies, intolerances, or microbiome.

Cooked starch is very close to actual animal glycogen, the body will literally make glucose and glycogen from protein (dietary and bodily) if you don't eat it.
Eating a high amount of starch will switch off your sympathetic nervous system, lowering cortisol, adrenaline and glucagon, putting you in a "rest, relax, repair mode", kinda like predators after they eat, all of their predatory instict are suppressed, and they just want to sleep and lay on the sun.
It's not a good idea to eat a large starch based meal when you need to be active/sharp. (up to 80g of glucose when your liver glycogen is low will not tire you as much, as liver is very quick at taking up all the glucose)
A large starch meal is best after you've done with daily activities/work/training to relax yourself, and kickstart recovery processes (the lowering of cortisol will allow inflammation to occur, which is how your body actually heals.)

I started to just listen to what my body was craving and since the craving was oddly balsamic vinegar & sour lemon/lemonade, I realized my body needed electrolytes “it’s what plants crave” 😝 and I started to incorporate more vegetables, less starch and more meat or other proteins like chick peas, but I’m still researching bc of the heartburn creeping in. Why is this such a struggle. I just can’t understand it since we are able to be carnivore/herbivore/omnivore why can’t we just eat anything and still heal our issues. I don’t think Native Americans or indigenous rainforest tribes ever suffer with the things in mainstream society…it’s prob processed food is my general theory, then I’m down a rabbit hole on the internet or on the cabbage diet thinking my body will respond better. 1. a balanced diet. Do it. 2. fasting and/or one meal a day is great. Do that too. 3. Sleep good. Do that. 4. Exercise. Barbells, kettleballs, body weight, doesn't matter do that too. 5. Brush your teeth. This isn't complicated. How is it that I hate every piece of advice you give on vegetable police (but still watch getting angrier and angier) but love every single thing on camera conspiracies. One channel is full of fad diet advice that makes you believe in bigfoot, while the other is full of solid rock bottom, pure candadian advice that makes your smarter and better.

Balanced diet in one meal bro ?? 😂Are you serious??

    • @bonerici
      @bonerici Před 2 měsíci +1

@@janrebec5919 why not? Also what theory on heaven and earth says you need to have all your vitamin C all your vitamin D all your carbs at once. I am so down with fasting. A day of fasting every week is wonderful. Are you getting your vitamin C while fasting? No. Why? The human bodies stores up all the vitamins proteins carbs and fats it needs for use later. So one meal for instance on monday you get your vitamin c. The next meal (one a day) you get your vitamin E. You don't need to eat chicken and brocolli every single day. You can even eat all grapes for your one meal a day. The next meal you eat all sheep. That's perfectly fine. I'm wondering if vetetable police will ever discover this. The way he eats now is mono-diet. All sheep. All pickles. All grapes. All the time for months until he's so sick and broken he has to change his diet or die. If he only figured out he could eat Monday -- all grapes Tuesday -- all sheep Wednesday --- all brocolli, then finally he would have a complete and balanced diet. The vitamins which we need the most frequently are things like water soluable vitamins. So you get scurvy after about 2 or 3 months of not eating fruit. That's a long time and also the worst case scenario. Fat soluable vitamins take even longer for a deficiency to show up, so for instance the body is able to hold on to B12 for an entire year. So yes. Balanced diet in one meal why not but don't fret about the details. Just vary your diet and don't eat the same thing every darn day for six months at a time. Nobody needs to eat three meals a day. I do like eating three meals a day but that's only because I'm a hungry bastard and if I could do one meal a day I would do it. Go read the nutrition reports on vitamin D supplements. They specfically say that those who are deficient only need to take vitamin d once a month. You can take your entire months supply of vitamin d in one huge gulp and that's perfect ok. I think the study is by Sophie De Niet in 2018. They gave the patients 50,000 IU one time per month. Worked great. Americans are so worried about not getting enough protein or vitamins and worry they will die if they don't eat everything in the house every day. Eat less and don't worry, you are getting more than enough vitamins proteins and fat in your diet most likely. Vegetable police he's not getting enough nutrition because he goes on every fad diet he sees. He thinks he's healthy because the symptoms of deficiencies don't show up for 6 months, but what happens on every fad diet he goes on is he starts burning his reserves of vitamins every time he starts a new diet and feels great for 2 weeks or a month. Then at month 6 he gets so sick but the problem is mono-diets are awful for you but you don't really start getting sick on that diet until month 5 or 6 which (no coincidence here) is exactly the time when he switches to an entirely different terrible fad diet. Sorry if this came across as angry, it's not you it's me watching vegetable police. His videos make me so angry.

You do realize practically no one tries any restrictive diet unless a "balanced diet" has already failed them, right? It is a clear observable fact that many do better on restrictive diets.
However I do believe VP would still keep changing his diet even if he found one that gave him perfect health, as that's pretty much the whole niche of this channel - if he settled on an exact diet once and for all, this channel might die. Even if it didn't, he'd lose the primary subject he currently makes videos about.

A person can get their body into ketosis for awhile but what always happens next is, after a few or even several days a tiny diet 'mistake' is made (like you ate a grape by accident or had a coffee that someone put sugar in) and then 1 minute later the body bounces right back out of ketosis for the next day or two. That makes for a long couple of days when it happens because you've tried so hard but still you blew it yet again. One then continues with eating correctly again over the next days and ketosis is again achieved until the next mistake. So, since I can't help but bounce back out of ketosis again after 3 or 4 days, I embrace the whole process as the cycle that it is - this frees me up to eat healthy foods but then to also occasionally eat foods I usually avoid, that have some carbs or inherent sugar such as potato or bread or pasta (never add sugar). If you've already bounced yourself out of ketosis for the next 36 hours, might as well make it 48 & have a higher sugar vegetable like a potato instead of brussels sprouts before you go back to eating right. That way you don't stress out over missing out on foods that are not that bad for you (but will bump you out of ketosis). Eating more of a variety of foods is a good way to be happy and being happy is important to health. Being in ketosis 24/7 for months on end, might stress body systems so why not be happy with a bit of both. It may be that the best approach to diet health is, managing this cycling in and out of ketosis while avoiding many, many of the 'trap-foods' out there such as the obvious soda and potato chips which though vegan won't lead to good health outcomes. I've mentioned keto test strips before, I really think you should pick up a canister of them if you don't have them (I am using keto mojo brand ketone urine test strips at the moment, 9.99 on Amazon). You might not buy into science but this is one thing that you can do, one test that will reveal with precision whether you are really in ketosis or not - and once you know that, you can assess how your body feels when in that state, what side effects you might experience etc. It is interesting. For a guy like you who really thinks about this stuff, proving that you are or are not in ketosis would help you to quantify what does and does not work for you both when in and when out of ketogenic state. Thanks for your content I enjoy it, you certainly provide food for thought!
