Air conditioning pipes insulation replace

  • The foam insulation that covered the pipes from the air conditioner was damaged by the sun and birds. I took down the old insulation and replaced it with a new one, all without opening the pipes because we lose the freon and the warranty. And as additional protection and not having to change the insulation again next year, I added aluminum tape for extra protection.

This insulation this fella put in is SHOCKINGLY inadequate. It is porous , flaky and incapable of sealing the heat. The aluminum tape essentially is what did the job.
You should put Expanded vulcanized 4015 rubber type of tubes on the inside. Outer insulation should be double impregnated black insulation. And on the 3rd layer Aluminum tape.
Some Technicians claim Aluminum reflections bring in the crows and they clip the aluminum tape, however I've never seen this personally. However to make sure it never happens - if you're afraid of the UV you can seal the 3 layers I described with UV tape. It is 5$ but will last you your lifetime. This is how I put my units.

Appreciate your effort in setting up this nicely but your outdoor unit placement is wrong because it require so much power to push cool gas against the gravity. Ideally outdoor should be placed above or same height as Indoor unit.

    Hello,
Yesterday, my technician tried installing my Daikin non inverter AC, but he left in the middle as we could not finalize the outdoor location. Now i have finalized the outdoor location, but the problem is that the copper pipes of the Indoor unit has been straightened perpendicularly by the technician, now the changed location i decided will require the same perpendicularly rotated copper pipes of indoor to be re-rotation of the pipes into their original position as it comes from the company (horizontally aligned inside the indoor). Can this re- rotation of copper pipes from the vertical position to the previous horizontal position cause weakening or breaking of the Indoor copper pipes? Feedback from anyone will be hugely appreciated.
    Thank you

@@DanielH banda de aluminiu pleci cu ea de jos si cea de deasupra o treci peste cea de jos, la fel ca solzii de peste, în așa fel încât apa cand se scurge sa nu intre pe sub banda, sa treaca pe deasupra.
