Lucy is always incredible singer, for this 'The Way We Were' she has the amazing voice control I have ever heard in my entire life. Those notes she holds longer the the Original's.

Lucy is good but her voice in this video sounds artificially enhanced and filtered. It’s not as pure nor as strong and supported as Streisand’s voice.

She has matured so much over the last several years. Lucy has matured physically, emotionally, and professionally. I don't think there is anything that can stop her from achieving her dreams. Lucy doesn't copy songs, she improves each and every song she performs. In most cases her rendition is better than the original. That is true talent.

When you listen carefully, you will hear the combination of the instruments which gives a dreamy background rendition to the beautiful voice of Lucy Thomas. Very good orchestration and production.
Mike and Ginger. Thank you for supporting Lucy. You are right about a few things. The one that stands out for me is that when Lucy sings a song, even ones that I don't really care for, as an example this one, she makes it beautiful and well worth listening to. She has such an amazing voice and such an incredible talent that I just love every song she sings. Lucy is in a class of her own and few today can match her. And yes, this is much better than Bab's version by a long shot. I am willing to take the flack from anyone who objects to my opinion. Bring it on!
Stand down George, no dissent here. She moves me in a way few female artists can - it's the rich tonal quality and inherent maternal warmth in her voice, if that makes sense - stunningly beautiful....

M & G, this is the second time I listened to this piece. I was kind of distracted the first time. This time I reverted back to the chills and on the verge of clouding up. Like Ginger, I'm not that enthused about the song but Lucy's voice grabbed me again; so smooth, silky, soft, and full of depth. Her voice and execution really impressed me again.
Lucy is just the greatest singer on the planet. Period as you Americans would say !!

What is amazing me every time when I hear covers from Lucy Thomas, Jadyn Rylee, and other young singers: they really make it sound better as the orginal was.... And always with lots of respect for the orginal they are covering: they don't change it too much.

Ginger , Mike, looks you are discovering that Lucy's path is going to Broadway.
After being semi finalist at UK voice kids in 2018 with the song : Moon river Lucy was signed by a record company and Chris Broom choose her to be the leading female role of the musical he wrote : Rosie.
Also the first video Lucy did after this TV competition was a cover of a song from a musical called : Waitress . The song was : She use to be mine( very nice video by the way).
After that she did a cover of Memories ( Cats) and also a cover of Somewhere ( west side story).
She is now working hard for the musical Rosie. As I understood the Première should be beginning of 2024.

Lucy is A Very Talented Singer to even to Attempt to sing One Of Barbra"s songs takes Great Ambition For Barbra has Such power when she calls For it I Don't Believe anyone will ever stand side by Side with her.
However Lucy's Tones & Pitch are very, very Good & As She continues to develop she might be Able to bring up the High End power that Barbra has !!! However this is my humble Opinion.!!!

Hi as someone who thinks Lucy is the best female vocalist of our era at the moment and always tries to point you in the direction of new material from her, I'm going against the grain to ask if you've done a reaction to Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill's version of How great thou art, I have looked in your playlist and can't see it and if not could you please consider doing one thanks.
She has a great voice, however, it would have been better if she modernized it. Because this version was just like Barbara's, very few will remember Lucy's. I believe the ability to change a song is a reason another of your favorites, Angelina Jordan, is so popular.
Lucy pays homage to the originals but only improves upon them because her voice is truly exceptional, one of the best ever already and shes still just 18 years old and will only continue to improve.
I'll take Lucy over Streisand any day.

We love you guys as well. Musically, I can appreciate Babs’ talent but said appreciation has been tainted by her poorly articulated political views. This is a lovely cover, but Streisand has a little more passion.
I thought the passion was there but in a much warmer and loving way and unlike Barbara our Lucy isn't a rip off merchant.
Sorry but there is no one that compares to Barbra Streisand because she is the greatest of all time. Others can try like Lucy and Susan Boyle before her, but they will all fall short. Sorry but they are just cover singers with absolutely No originality and limited abilities. Sorry
