- Hey Guys,
In this video I talk about how to buy a car, namely for younger members of the service. The solution to a tight budget is simple: purchase a used car. In this video I explain this and how/where to look for a good deal on cheap used car.

Missing one thing in particular. This is why you also refinance your vehicle when you can and look at switching insurance to lower your payments over the years. You also do want to have recurring payments to build up credit and even having revolving credit boosts your credit score up. Overall for those who have minimal knowledge on the finance side of cars it’s great advice but later on this will also help. Just saying 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So it’s actually ok to buy a car ?
If you can't afford to buy it in cash outright you probably can't really afford it. Good video.
Well said
I’m a civvy but great vid man, one thing i woulda mentioned though is to stay away from german cars, you’re gonna see a lot of BMW 3 series in that price range and people get enamored by those cars for some reason not knowing how expensive maintenance and repairs can be.
Yes sir no debt to income ratio . Cheap car and a nice house 🏠
Sheeesh, I love this : give the giant view bro , Gg fam.
Please show up ways to buy used cars just got into the military army and I am looking into military deals but most seem to be a red 🚩 I don't rlly need anything fancy just a decent looking but something that can last a long time
Thanks for reaching out! I recommend checking Facebook marketplace and just putting in a max price of $5k. As long as it drives fine/shifts well, doesn’t have any check engine lights on (go buy a code scanner at like auto zone to check this, it’s well worth it), has a clean title, is relatively rust-free on the undercarriage (look for rust around wheel wells and the outskirts or under it as best as possible) and has a clean carfax report (pay the $30 for the carfax, this could save you from buying a dud cause it shows the history) then you should be all set. The cheap cars may not b pretty (it won’t b a cool lookin car prob) but they get you from point a to point b and allow you to save money so one day you can buy your dream car if you so desire. Save the money to invest and grow tho, don’t buy that mustang or camaro now, wait and invest so down the line you can buy 3 of them if you do desire!
@@AndrewDanko Search parameters for me are max price $3000 and manual transmission
Really nice and needed video! I’m in the process of joining and I already have me a Honda so I think I’ll just save up to buy a new car out right vs making expensive payment
he lived up to the stereo type
Its a beauty
As a newly-commissioned Ensign in flight school back in 1981, I opted for the Porsche 911 (Ensign Mobile). Your choice shows better judgement, forethought, responsibility and something that I would encourage my son to do. Good move Lt.! Semper Fidelis
No payments is better than payments 😎
I really want a nissan maxima but im scared bc i dont know how dealerships work and i know they love scamming young ppl ☠️
so i can’t get a trackhawk after serving my 4 years 😪
What E4 making that much?😂
@@Jitcreep. 10k bonus save that with whatever you make in the military get out in 4 years and do payments on a 2021 trackhawk 🤷♂️
@@chowder4118That my plan to get in the army for the bonus and stack my paycheck till my four years up
What about getting like let’s say a used car under 30k
Im looking to buy a 2015 hellcat because they come with a lower price because of age. Wouldn't it be better to finance that rather that getting a brand new one? I know better not get a 2023 car, just curious
Just get a srt 8 for 20k don't spend 40k just to look cool your bank account won't look cool
I wanna get a 2020 zl1 1le bruh 🤣 but I’m joining Air Force so I also don’t know fs
@@TheAssassinCZcams if your in the airforce you can afford a yacht by the end of your enlistment go for it you only live once
@@DOASPAZZthe Air Force actually pays that well that he can get a zl1?
This doesnt work in the shit state of Maryland. They require a “safety inspection” where they will flag your suspension or power steering as a fail, forcing you to repair it then bring it back to the same fuckers to reinspect for profit . This makes buying used cars off Facebook marketplace a hassle because half those cars are going to fail due to them being worth sub 5k. I bought a working car for 5k and the inspection failed me 3k worth of repairs. I had no choice but to pay simply because I need to get to fucking work and I already spent enough money and time just testing the car.
Hey if I join the reserves to I still get the same military discount on buying a car
You’d still get the discount
Yes. All military personnel whether active or reserves are eligible for discounts
But a $5k Honda and be done
Lol I’m getting a good used car I’m not a show off 😂😂
I see ppl buying 50k cars.off an e3 pay... stupid af
😂😂😂😂
Cheap 😂 long as u got a house tho
