Buyers show sellers no respect on Facebook Marketplace. You have to give it to the first person who shows up with the cash. A lot of people make promises and then never show, w/o even the courtesy of letting you know.

Anytime I've sold anything on Marketplace, I put "first come first serve" right in the description. I typically also am just trying to offload something so it's pretty cheap. Buyers should know it's a race before even reaching out.

They promise they are on the way but end up never showing. My rule is, first person with cash takes it. It sucks, but it's just the way it is these days.

You had question why road side sellers do not like to sell to dealers. I was selling my '97 Camaro several years ago, and someone came up and offered less than half my asking. I had already done research to find the price point for the car, so I was confident I was going to sell it for a few hundred of my asking price. After some back and forth, he told me that he could not even sell my car for a $1000 less than my asking price on his lot. (He did not tell me the lot name) I sold to someone else for about $100 less than I was hoping for, but well above this guys highest offer. So I kind of have a distrust of dealers that come to the house, but if you try to buy the car somewhere near my expectation for the car, than I don't care. Spend time telling my that the car is only worth much much less, but you have cash, we are not going to have a long conversation.

I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country white 86,000 miles. One owner base model all maintenance and major repairs done including brakes. Needs shocks and air conditioning recharge. No accidents or dents. Just minor dings. All interior upholstery intact. Just needs cleaning. The car starts and runs good. What would you pay for this?

I hate where you have to be the very first text or call on Craigslist and if not the person won’t even give you a chance to come look at the car. There was good cars on face book that I seen 5 mins after they were posted and someone texted them before I did and I lost the car

I buy used cars every once in a while, I start shopping for my next car when I leave the lot in my new car. I love to shop for cars. Facebook marketplace, Craigslist and even auto-trader are full of people who may not be scammers, but they are lying to buyers from the beginning. They advertise as if they are private sellers, but really are in business of flipping cars. A lot are people who flip cars, and really are unlicensed dealers. You can tell because every two weeks, they will have a different car for sale with the same contact cel-phone and the pictures will all be taken in the same cul-de-sac. I don't even call these douche-bags. In my state, you need a license if you sell more that 5 vehicles per year and have to have a place of business. If you have to lie to me to just to get my call, no dice. It is also my experience that most of these clowns buy the cheapest parts possible, do the minimum amount of work to get the vehicle to just present well and just really do a lousy job reconditioning the vehicle. I could go on and on. Love your channel BTW.

I have bought and sold several cars on Facebook Marketplace, unfortunately many buyers on there are just tire kickers that waste your time or seem to think you are desperate to sell and they try to get you to sell for ridiculously low prices.

In a past video he shared a story about one of his client buying a new Camaro and lucky he paid for the tire warranty. On the way home just off the lot they was a truck full of nails and somehow the nails fell off. The customer needed 4 new tires cover by the warranty. I am not a fan of the tire warranty but at times seem like it’s a good option to have.

People (buyers) lie most of the time.. you get 100 people wanting to buy your vehicle and when it comes down to it they don't show up and don't even let you know for it... I stay away from buying and selling... I finally found the car that I really like won't be selling it for now.

    I bought a car fbmp.
Similar, except i was the buyer lol.
He said i got someone coming. I said text them now so we dont have a problem n tell them it sold, just like that. N he did.
You need to ask how long they had the car n if they have proof of how long they had the car for. If they had had it for a few years n they're the 1st or 2nd owner. Than ur starting off where u want.
This is the best tip i will give you
