Finally finished my guys!! I'm really happy with this Axial Racing SCX24 Hardbody conversion we dialed in. For those of you just joining us on this installment, We fit a 1/20th scale AMT 1992 Toyota hilux pickup to the SCX24 chassis rails. The goal throughout the series was to run Interior and mount the engine bay and its internals. We definitely put in some serious work modeling on this, no joke closed in on 40hrs of modeling and building throughout and thats not even touching the time spent editing. I just purchased an SCX 24 after a long absence out of the hobby. I also bought all the parts needed to build another from scratch. Lots of “mod” builders but no scratch builders like yourself. Enjoyed watching your process. Very cool build! Glad I found your channel! 🤙🏼✌🏼

Lol I hate to admit this. I purchased this body 1 year ago July 12th hahaha, I had this project sitting a really, realllllllly long time! I've heard it's been a nightmare to find! Hobbylobbys do have them, just gotta get lucky.
RC SUPREMACY I’ve got the same body. I pointed everybody I knew to it that wanted Hilux cause the wheelbase is right. Turned out sweet for sure. Now I just gotta wait on the scx. I find places pre ordering but I imagine they’ll be delayed. Where I live we’ll never get on shelves. Probably end up like the Losi micro. Make the best micro ever, make everyone want them, make it impossible to get them, flood market with cool hop ups then abandon them. 😐

Im just running avery masking vinyl. Low tact and virtually nothing left behind after peeling back each color.

@@outdoorsready4890 No I use a plotter and design software to render the graphics in a SVG to be cut by the machine. If you need anything cut you can email me I can knock them out.

What kind of a wheele an tire setup you have??
how did u mount the body onto the chassi i’m currently making a scale jeep honcho scx24 but i can’t figure out how to mount it but still get access to the interior
Pt.1 has the mounting system and the magnetic post i made out of styrene. Check it out for an idea of how i did it

They were small hair rubber bands cut in half and crimped with some steel wire and barrel crimp
