Wanted tips for the rear .... but I think you gave enough to make it easier. Got fresh oem springs for the rear and am fitting 285/75r16 (33") on steelies .... trimming plastic and cutting metal/fixing rust. Eventually steel winch bumper by son and me. Probably hubs and welded front. Lokka rear (Tyler) 🤟 ... anyway ... great video

      Thanks for watching. My wheels are Pro Comp part number 51-5883. 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing. The tires are BFG K02 31x10.5x15. I'm not sure if you can use the stock wheels or not. The tires will likely fit, but the stock wheels are probably not 8 inches wide so it might look goofy. You're better off picking up a set of aftermarket wheels. The pro comp ones I have are very cheap at $62 per wheel.

Anyways, I put their 1.5" front spacers on mine and the passenger axle is slinging grease everywhere now and the axle is binding. Maybe I won't be lifting the front of mine after all. The fender flares are stock, but its not because it has a manual transmission.
      The flares on pre-facelifted R50 Pathfinders (1996 - early 1999) came on the Sport (SE) trim pathfinders only. If yours is a base (XE I believe) or Limited (LE), that is likely the reason why yours does not have flares.

    You should have removed the panard rod on the back end of the diff ,that will let the diff sink all the way down no need to put your foot on the drum to force it in..

      yes there is, but I'm unsure of the number. Its usually a big number for those sort of bolts. something like 100 - 120 ft lbs. I just tightened them down really well with a breaker bar.

      Great, thank you. Also i was breaking my head whether how should i put the spacer in. With the lip of spacer up? Or should i put it with lip down. I would be really afraid if spring came off.

    • @rhino5ohh
      @rhino5ohh  Před 4 lety +1

      @@gimmeat0wel That's interesting, nothing should be glued. Maybe there's just loctite on the bolts or its a nylon lock nut? I assume you're talking about the 3 bolts in the engine bay that hold the strut to the vehicle. Either way, you should be able to break it free with a regular socket and rachet. Might have to use a breaker bar to get them loose but they really shouldn't be that tight

    Didnt catch the alignment bolt part?

    • @rhino5ohh
      @rhino5ohh  Před 4 lety +1

      Apologies for leaving that out. They're bolts that replace the factory strut-to-knuckle bolts (the bolts im removing at 3:22). The part of the bolt that sits inside of the knuckle has a lobe (in other words it's not a perfect circle) so that when you turn it clockwise/counter-clockwise, the lobe pushes the knuckle away from or into the strut, giving you a few degrees +/- of camber that you normally wouldnt be able to get with the factory bolts.

    • @rhino5ohh
      @rhino5ohh  Před 3 lety

      @@adamwaller9593 I had absolutely no issues with the spacers and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a budget lift. I eventually went with old man emu because my shocks, struts, and springs were all factory, 22 year old parts and they were tired. On one of my struts, the rod would collapse when you let it go (not supposed to happen, it should extend). And as you saw in the video, they were getting rusty. It was time to replace the parts for sure. I might eventually add a smaller spacer on top of the old man emu kit, but for now it looks great. Sits almost the same as the spacers did.
