I like that the Dinos didn't predictably turn out to be evil at the end
They were just legit caring creatures that discovered that because something out of their control they killed billions
Yeah... I really thought they will turn up evil then ended up legitimately good.
well it would look good if theye stablished them as being so advanced just to change the whole characterization at the end, though l agree
They are evil though, they stole Jerry's IP
@@dillonkeller4477 thats only evil in a capitalist society smh didnt you watch the episode

Fr
It was very sad.
this episode was our first taste at seeing beings smarter than rick and it was awesome
Does that mean the new dimension the whole family hopped to in the season premiere is outside of the curve since there’s smarter beings than rick?
@@DuskLegend well the curve was destroyed so yes.
@@f2pcoder92 the curve wasn't destroyed, president morty tore a hole in it and the dinos patched that hole.
@@teafvl seems to be the reason of ricks portal pistol malfunctions and why it started working.
@@DuskLegend They called themselves "a one universe species," implying that they're not from outside the curve. Whether they're truly "smarter" than Rick is debatable given that they had millions of years to perfect their superior portal technology (with the benefit of collaborating with their entire species rather than doing it alone) and Rick was able to develop technology capable of deflecting their attacks on short notice. As for them patching up the dimensional rift, we have seen beings with high levels of power that Rick can't replicate (ie. the time cops, giant heads) so that isn't new.
I love the box filled with Emmy's, in Dan's background. Also love that he literally wrote "Zoom Background" on it.
"Zoom Background Emmys" 🤣 like "Time Travel Stuff"
And what's up with that tangled mess of wires above it? How many things are hooked up to his tv?
There are even more cables dangling from the other wall in the off camera shot. He is literally surrounded by cable nests. That guy has absolutely noone up his face about neatness and order. Total avatar of chaos
Anyone know what the rectangular keyboard-shaped thing that the cables are plugged into is called?
@@TranshumanPlus Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO switcher :)
I love how the dinosaurs developed multiverse portal tech millions of years ago and then say 'yeah, we adopted a one universe rule'. Really throwin it in Ricks face xD
They actually got the whole “well-meaning condescension” thing down pat with the dinos. I’m kind of impressed that they didn’t even mention that.
Because they have no self-awareness
Another hilarious episode, I also noticed that these are the smarter beings that ricks usually used the finite curve to keep away, which is also cool to think about
If none of the universes in the Central Finite Curve had these dinosaurs, why would Rick relocate to a universe outside the CFC if he knew about these dinosaurs?
Also, no intergalactic being in the show has ever called Rick the smartest being in the universe, just the smartest human or mammal. Dinosaurs are neither human nor mammal.
They weren't in a different dimension though
@@luffylength Rick and Morty went in the dino dimension in this season's first episode
@@GOldenPROdigy115 But he did it in the same vein of trying to find a universe that was still identical to what they knew. He said the only difference was the way they say parmesan.
If that was the case it wouldn't have been a rift and blown up citadel in this universe as well.
@@luffylength These Dino's are smarter than Rick. They probably made themselves undetectable by Rick's tech
Honestly I wish Rick and Morty kept the whole no portal thing until the beginning of the new season or at least until the final episode of this season. In my opinion this season, so far, has been extremely fun because the lack of portals. The portals take away the Weight of a situation if you can just leave immediately with no real consequences. It’s interesting seeing Rick being just as susceptible to the situations that plague everyone else instead of just dipping.
Everyone says the exact same thing about him dipping, which I have never seen tbh. So I'm guessing it's a "go with the crowd" sort of thing.
Lol well Rick said the same thing in the episode
@@Axyr He does it all the time. Usually who he's trying to get away from just follows him though or it just flat out backfires. Example... The encounter with Evil Morty when he's president. He has to face him because he hacked his portal gun. Something Rick usually doesn't have to do as he doesn't like to answer to anybody but himself. Being plagued with actual real-world challenges + the consequences of your own actions was kind of neat and I am a bit sad to see it go.
"No!! I was gonna milk that for a whole season!" - Rick Sanchez, lmao
@@codydfwn Bad example,
1. Giving an example of something happening by putting forward a situation when it didn't happen.
2. Rick wanted to fix Morty and leave, Morty was a moron and didn't let them. Rick had every right to leave had he been able to.
You clearly don't understand the point of the show. It's meant to be a middle finger to the audience, that's why him getting portals back is anti climatic. Also why we've had so many incest episodes.
The dinosaurs being unironically good in Rick and Morty, makes their gag in Solar Opposites all the more hilarious
This was a very clever episode. I love how the dinosaurs push Rick's buttons without doing anything wrong, forcing him to cave in and do the right thing in the end.
I was rolling around laughing when Rick and Morty were forcefully teleported back to the garage cursing the whole time hahahaha and then Rick getting so pissed off feeling insulted that his competitiveness went through the roof motivating him enough to finally fix the portal gun was brilliant.
"You made more Marvel movies than had global warming summits."
That's a pretty deep cut.
No, that's just a stupidly thought out comparison of thwo completely unrelated things. I've had more bowel movements than ideas on how to improve my life. I've touched myself more than resumes I've handed out. I've eaten more pizza than times I've thrown a cat out the window.
Is he saying that people who make marvel movies should be in charge of global warming summits. Does a global warming summit have any actual value.
I heard a guy virtue signalling as a punchline.
@@synnical77 Your bowel movements aren't your choice. You having touched yourself more often than you've handed out resumes shows that you probably care more about pleasure than you care about getting a job. And you eating more pizzas than you've thrown cats out of windows shows that you'd rather eat pizza than throw a cat out of a window.
Similarly, society making more Marvel movies than global warming summits shows that society cares more about Marvel movies than global warming summits. If society cared more about our planet, fewer people would spend time on making movies when they could instead get jobs that actually benefit our planet.
@@synnical77 Virtue signalling as a punchline is pretty common with modern media types, unfortunately.
@@9nikolai Yup, Humans are pretty great of seeing patterns where none exist.
Cool, you deriving some meaning out of the random examples I spat out kind of demonstrates the point I was making. But, bravo on trying to see something deep where nothing existed.
@@synnical77 Your statement is so flawed, you were so hyped to talk trash, you couldn’t even realize.
He wasn’t comparing and contrasting two separate individual situations. He was putting humans in one box, regardless of what they do… they were pointing fun is taken more serious, then needs itself, which is a simple understanding, considering it is these days.. humans as a species overall would buy movie tickets, before they study the science behind global warming and decided to dedicate their lives into help finding a more suitable way. And if you believe this is false, well you are blind
What I loved about this episode is that for once it shows that Rick still has the ability to grow. Not as a person but scientifically, the dinosaurs were able to fabricate a much better portal gun than he can in seconds. Then they were able to fix the rift with no problem at all. Rick's been beaten before, but he's never been beaten when it came to science.
Rick could have fixed the rift whenever he wanted but in his own words "No!! I was gonna milk that for a whole season!"
They didn’t make the portal pistol from scratch, it was a technology they had developed millions of years ago, and just decided to not use
And I feel like Rick genuinely could have fixed the rift and portal travel in just a few hours at most, he’s just lazy and likes procrastinating
@@Deathnotefan97 Plus, bare in mind there was no reason to do so immediately, besides Morty's nagging. Rick knows where Prime Rick is, it's simply a waiting game while the remaining ricks are also pending to fix their portal travel.
@@Deathnotefan97 You dont need to "feel like" so, it is obviously procrastinating when he blames Morty for interrupting his fixing process.
Time is really something! If a species doesn't destroy itself it really can become something special
"I'm simply saying that RICK, uh... finds a way,"
I love that there's now been 2 variations of portal tech (Yellow & See Through) and Rick is content with the green goo. Also the fact the dinos shred skateboards is lit.
I am surprised no one mentioned the rick's attempt to have a moment with morty 12 minutes into the episode. He seems more caring about his own family this season.
All those years ago, at a convention, someone asked the creators when the *Cthulu* from every opening would make an appearance.
Now it has.
Where?
@@byronsenior6499 What comes out of the portal Rick opened when Morty asks him for a ride to school.
It happens at the beginning of the episode.
This episode made me laugh, for sure.
I think it says a lot about pettiness, and we can all learn a ton from it.
What cracked me up so much about this episode was how it essentially showed that even when being handed literal heaven, humans are so vain that we as a species would hate it because it removes the concept that we as a species ever had an actual purpose beyond breeding. In a way, it shows that humans as a whole would much rather suffer in hell than find eternal joy and peace.
.
Yup, that's the way the writers wrote it.
It shows that humans prefer having purpose than material comfort utopia
@@itsDerekG Yup, that's what the writers think.
@@synnical77 Okay, well what do you think?
Pretty ironic that Rick said I do whatever I want, but gets Triggered by anything smarter or morally superior than him. 🤷🏿♂️
He's indeed a baby that built his crib on the multiverse...
Just like with zeep.
That’s the brilliance of the show, characters have a hubris like real people. He’s not a god he’s just very arrogant due to his insanely high intelligence
i love how the dinosaurs forced ricks hand to fix portal travel
I love how they brought back portal tech at the end of the episode. The writing is getting so good this season. Brilliant.
I don't think he did. I suspect it's a spatial portal and that he doesn't actually know how to do it. Which is why he kept stalling saying it's part of his "process"
@@nealwoods3482 Our Rick never invented portal travel on his own and needed Prime Rick to show him how it's done. SO it's save to say he doesn't truly know how to do it.
@@salamander8055 not really, amaznprime rick doesn’t nothing but blow them up. C137 rick, in his grief, develops portal tech.. there was literally a whole back story episode.

Nice to see Dan and Justin have eventually settled into a way to create season 1 an 2 quality episodes that don't stress them out.
This was such a good episode on like so many levels.. like the extra meaninglessness of like, what if humanity had everything we ever wanted? This has really been such an amazing season. I've been feeling really invested in it with this strong focus on the characters again
I love that considering how they effortlessly revitalized the earth and ended war, crime, and poverty, the only reasons to hate the dinosaurs are completely petty ones (being condescending towards humans but rightfully so, virtue signaling even if it wasn't even the bad kind because they were still actually accomplishing what they were talking about, humans getting bored, hesitating to stop the meteor guy even though they were pretty quick to change their minds and leave to save humanity.)
It's also great for Rick's character because he's been slowly becoming more selfless but seeing those who not only have better powers than him but are better at being selfless than him totally TRIGGERS him. But even then he shows the dinosaurs that they're going too far with the selfless act and doesn't want them to just throw their lives and genius away, ultimately doing a selfless act for them veiled as virtue signaling over how selfish he is, almost an inverse of what he was accusing the dinosaurs of doing.
Funny thing is they say dinosaurs likely had feathers so this portrayal itself could be wrong
@USA STARS NEWZ Wdym nope? That’s a factual possibility lmao. You have no way of disproving it.
Dinosaurs with feathers is lame!

Actually one of the best episodes in a long time, even better than the season 5 outro/season 6 intro
I like that this episode is about two opposite side of a deity. One being benevolent, and one not caring.
id say the opposite of benevolence is Malevolence
just to be real its rare to see that there is a being that is nearly as smart or smarter than rick Lmao and the dinos got rick's respect which its rare also
Before this season the central finite curve made it so rick was the smartest being in any reality he is in. So yeah, it is rare.
@@urbaraskpraetor3316 The finite curve wasn't destroyed. Evil Morty just made a sort of rift/crack in it and left which the dinosaurs fixed at the end and they adopted that one universe only rule so they were always in this universe so everything you just said goes straight out the window

Current ranking of the Season 6 episodes from worst to best- Final DeSmithation, then JuRicksic Mort, then Rick: A Mort Well Lived, then Bethic Twinstinct, then Night Family, then Solaricks. When the show comes back on November 20, I really hope that whatever standalone episodes are still coming out are really mind-breaking and raise questions they want the audience to take seriously even if the plot sounds nothing but silly out of context, and for the less standalone episodes to, if nothing else, have some truly terrifying, not-played-for-laughs moments that, even if they don't directly feature Weird Rick and/or Evil Morty, couldn't happen in the show without the larger presence of at least one of them looming over the show. Thanks for bringing Rick and Morty back, Dan and Justin.
You're pretty spot on with your ranking. Last night's was very meh - I know that Harmon and Roiland have been on the back seats with the show for a couple years now, but I think their absence is more strongly felt this season for some reason. It feels a bit like a different show - it's still a good show, but it's not hitting the heights it did. Admittedly, I'm a weirdo who thinks the Story Train episode was the show's absolute pinnacle...
This ep was so funny and witty. Loving the season!
Looking at all these episode names expecting anything, yet still caught off guard
If only those dinosaurs could come to our Earth♡
That scene in that he throws a rock that their ship and that makes them come back is hilarious, also very interesting episode about how solving problems is basically what makes us what we are, we are a very interesting specie. Also the part in that everyone gave their own interpretation to the dinosaur bones, makes you wonder, I mean the structure of the brontosaur had to be corrected because of their neck, what they didn't do on that episode by the way, as well as the feather thing. 🤔
They are doing so great this season!
1:30 I love how crazy Dan's home looks like. It is the exact same thing I would do if I had unlimited time and money, all kinds of crazy experiments with tech, streaming, recording and generally technifying my house.
But the very best is that he keeps his Awards in a cardbox.

Awesome Inside The Episode: JuRicksic Mort Rick and Morty Video.
Only Rick & Morty could do an episode pointing out The Dangers of Capitalism, while simultaneously showing how having Utopia is also a bad thing, because humanity would have nothing to complain about. 🤷🏿♂️🤔
I don't think the message is that the Utopia is bad, the message was more on how would humanity reject it. It's more commentary about us and our characters.
I mean there was still an issue Climate change And stuff we wantAnd stuff That these dinosaurs are basically taking our creativity from us
And to be fair I was completely fine Is with the dinosaurs
Really, both capitalism and socialism are both fine in areas with generally small populations. It's when you try to use either to manage the money in territories of more than 4,000,000 people that their failings become more clear. The only real difference is that when socialism fails, its failure is more absolute, and the countries that practiced it are left destitute, whereas when capitalism fails, it still perpetuates itself in such a way where it only feels like a failure if you're part of a particularly disadvantaged demographic. If you have enough wealth to your name (wealth, not money), then capitalism certainly hasn't failed you on an individual level, even if your individual success in the capitalist system may indirectly lead to someone else's invididual failure. Just as capitalism and socialism's successes are both respectively individualistic and collectivist, so are their respective failures. That being said, while being personally more inclined to support welfare capitalism than socialism on most days, I wish that more progressive famous people would be willing to bite the bullet and publicly say "I'm a socialist," because with the abundance of "capitalism sucks lol" bits in media like Rick and Morty that wouldn't even exist without capitalism, I feel like a lot of this attempted addressing of such economic issues is a form of saying one thing while holding up a sign that says the exact opposite thing. I feel like this is what people mean when they say that economic leftists are the only real leftists- companies are happy to support diversity and representation causes because there's money to be made in appealing to the angry morality of the often-oppressed and those trying to be allies to them (except in Florida, where Ron DeSantis tries to make such causes actively unprofitable, at least as far as LGBTQIA+ issues are concerned, and apparently Latin American issues now as well), and companies also allow for certain works distributed by them to rip on capitalism as an extension of appealing to the angry morality of the often-oppressed, but when posed with the question of actual alternatives to capitalism, they dodge the question and treat "socialism" as if it were nothing more than a racist dogwhistle used by paleoconservatives and the alt-right rather than an actual economic system that, at least on paper, if not in practice, is a more ethical alternative to capitalism. It's true that there are plenty of paleoconservative types that essentially support Whites-only socialism and only claim to be against socialism because of its apparent association with poor Brown people but can't outright admit that because then their dogwhistles would fall apart, but not talking about what socialism actually is gives more credibility to the more racist ideas about socialism than they should have. And most major people in Hollywood are going to try to avoid directly mentioning socialism at all costs because for all of its flaws, capitalism is the only reason why we have anything in the entertainment industry that we love so much. Aside from animation studios unionizing, nothing can really be done to implement socialism into the Hollywood system without completely destroying it, and the amount of people willing to see the MCU go under in order for a supposedly more ethical economic system to succeed is ultimately a pretty small one, even among self-identified progressives.
@@ConcernedAlien Dude you don't know what the f*** you're talking about
Capitalism succeeds when other countries are invaded or happy are invaded or have their land exploited via legal means
Socialism succeeds because it actually makes use of what land and countries are willing to trade and market with
Socialist countries had plenty of their of their own entertainment toys etc
Hell the Soviet Union was what made tetris Pretty much a video game for The fidget spinner crowd
Not to mention the Soviet Union had the best movies ever to exist And they still hold up pretty well
The only time it fails is when it's literally being invaded so not their fault or when capitalism is reimplemented Is through corruption.
Hell vladitcan city Gets money from donations then put uses those donations into stock bonds and real estate And it has a population of 510
And at that point you're just sucking off working class people
