    FINALLY!! A super helpful composite tutorial! Thanks bro! So basically before you even turn on the flash...
    - make sure to use a tripod
    - set exposure first for the ambient (ISO, SS, Aperture)
    - take a picture without anyone so it's easier to mask PS
    - have assistant go one by one to each person and take the picture
    -then do the photoshop and lightroom magic
    Did I miss anything?

      sounds about right! Also, it's very doable without a tripod. The align layers tool is amazing in photoshop!

      You can still take a base image with the group in it. Just don’t have the assistant, light props and expose for ambient. Better to take the base shot when everyone is in it vs without, especially if you are not using a tripod.

    When you used brush tool in PS what hardness did you use?

  • @mjphotovideo4167

    Hi, I'm having a problem. The brush tool is not letting me brush my layer on to the top. Nothing is happening at all. Sometimes, it brushes with a color like I'm painting on the image. What am I doing wrong?

  • @jehanw543
    @jehanw543 Před 2 lety

    This was helpful. Could you share where set the focus to ? And during the shots was the focus in one single place or did that move along with the subjects ?

    • @kieoneyoungphotos
      @kieoneyoungphotos Před 2 lety +1

      you set your focus to the middle person or whoever is closest to camera, then lock your camera in manual focus so that it does not change because all of the people are on the same focal plane!!! I hope that my response helped you!

      if the mask is white then use a black color for the brush, if the mask is black hen use a white color for the brush.

    Many image editing tutorials on CZcams including yours have a loud, repetitive, annoying soundtrack whose level of volume competes with your calm, astute instruction. Few of these instructional videos can I listen to the end. I wonder why instructional videos need loud annoying soundtracks that interfere with my ability to focus on your excellent instruction. Would it be possible to lower the volume of your background noise or eliminate it entirely? As a senior citizen my brain apparently cannot separate commentary from canned background music. I desperately want to learn but am only able to learn from videos that have soft background music or no background sounds at all.

    • @justice5776
      @justice5776 Před 5 měsíci +1

      As a non-senior citizen, I still completely agree with the slightly too loud, but more importantly, busy sounding background music. The volume of this music could possibly pass if it had less going on in it.

    Music is absolutely awful and unneeded. Photoshop demo worthwhile.
