- In this video, I will be giving a review of the major differences between the Xbox Series X vs the Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series S is the ultimate next gen console that is top tier when it comes to gaming. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S is the ultimate budget console that is potentially better when it comes to value. So here it is, the Xbox Series X Vs Xbox Series, which is better?

Which Console would you pick and why?
I think series x because games will be cheaper on discs on sale
@@UtdForever99That’ll also be my choice, but because of the fact that I already have a 43” 4K120hz Philips Google smart tv beforehand this summer, ngl
I have an LG OLED 4k 120hz but I am still considering the series s. I have a ps5 and just want to play some gamepass games. All third parties will be played on the ps
Series x.....best performance
@@plmpcharisma9686 That is another one of my reasons why I’d go for the Series X tbf😅
I'm one of the extremely rare people who own both a Series X and S. The reason being I'm a long haul truck driver. I have the X in my home entertainment center and the S in my mobile entertainment center. I got tired of moving my X to and from the truck, so I said screw it and bought a black 1 TB Series S to keep in the truck. I discovered an added bonus for the S, it uses less power than the X. It's not even noticable at home, but very noticable when you're running your entertainment center from a power inverter.
The processor and the GPU require a lot of power. The S draws less power because of that.
@@nathanaelbartholomew Running nothing but the TV and Series X would drain the power inverter in about 3 hours. The Series S and TV can run off the inverter for 5-6 hours.
@@MattyIcecubes that's awesome. 4K doesn't really matter, because no one remembers what they saw after playing. So I approve.
@@nathanaelbartholomew I play all the big epic games at home on my 78" TV and Series X. I play a lot of the less visually impressive games on the road with my Series S and my 40" TV. I've been playing a lot of Diablo 4 at the truck stops lately.
Great job. You made up my mind to get series S. I like the fact you don't have tons of horrible music playing. You are smart, articulate, and well prepared. You seem almost professional, and that quality is all but gone in this country, so thx and never give up. You helped me.
Agree, I think this is the first comparison I've seen where the content creator is not a jackass with awful intros and music. A fine addition to my subscriptions.
I agree. We don't watch clips to listen to what some one else likes to play regrading music as aloud as possible also, but the kids still don't get it.@@lgallardo93
I bought Series S white one from black friday 200€. Its fast, nice graphic quality and its so light and tiny that its easy to take with you to a friend house etc. In your hand bag or backbag. More storega I get from extra storage card 2 TB which cost 100€. Alltho Series S without storage expansion accomodated around 20 games, plenty smaller games and some big ones. So, havent even needed thd expansion yet.
Anyhow, If I spend 300€ for new gen console and get 2,5 TB. Storage I consider it cheap. New black Series S costs 350 € for 1 TB storage...
In this country? Chill lil bro
I think we’re average gamers the series s is great but for those who play a lot and like good performance, the series X is a good choice
Ya think?
@@dakotakavanayeah that’s what he just said dumbass
Series S has good performance too, definietly enough good for someone like me who plays a lot. I also play with pc and still think that in xbox series S graphics looks very good and gameplay is smooth.
@@susanna8612 Yea honestly the series S I think it's the technically better choice if you're using it just for Game Pass which I think most people are.
@@Mattriarc it is powerful little beast which has all the same functions than Series X (fast return facility, backward compatibility, both consoles has fast storage which improves loading and boot up time etc.) only difference between S and X is the disc drive and little better graphic performance in SX, if u have 4K TV.
Series S storage space can be increased with external storage 2 TB or even up to 4 TB... if storage size is problem.
Thanks for your review! I am a senior getting into gaming for mind stimulation, I am going for the X serries.
I hope you have fun friend!
Awesome enjoy it !
Great review, realistics end answers too, i related to the question and the answer, job done. brilliant!
thanx for this review, Naseem. i have the series s but ive started wondering am i really missing out on the 4k. also, i have alot of call of duty titles on disc i cant play, now. also a HUGE disappointment is i since then purchased a second copy, (digital,) of my 3 favorite titles (black ops 1, 2, & 3) and on my series s theyre so grainy/blurry theyre basically unplayable. if you have any digital versions of black ops 1, 2, 3, would you mind reviewing one of them on each console to see if there is a difference in clarity. like, i dont remember these games being so blurry back in the day. is it because im on the series s? also i use a 1080p monitor. i do have a "4k" monitor but its 55' and im told i get motion blur because its too big a screen for gaming so i still use the smaller 43' samsung.
i stream call of duty (non toxic) likw 10 hrs every day i get bored with the same maps so you can see why im upset i wasted my money trying to stream retro cod. i really hope you have time to review playing backwards compatible titles on each console. if you do it might make a good video because i havent seen anyone do it. im going to subscribe either way with noti's on.
if you made it this far, thanks for taking the time.
Very great video on the comparisons. Great content.
Great video man, much appreciated.
Most excellent video man!
Just bought my first Xbox Series, and it's an S.
I don't have a 4K TV, so I wouldn't ever be able to take full advantage of the Series X anyway. Game Pass is definitely a no-brainer, GET IT!!
So yeah, the "S" is a great option for a casual gamer with a regular 55-inch flat screen that wants to play all the greatest new games!
Thanks bro great video and helped me make uo my mind. I'm going with the S
Best review yet bro 🤛🏾Been a lifer and the bc is reason enough to stay here. Thinking X for disc drive thx 👍🏾
Does it run games at constant 60 fps.. like Forza and GTA ... Warzone .. should I buy it I have a really tight budget
Thank you very much for your presentation! 💕
I've been considering which console to buy for my house since my Grandson has Xbox S at home.
I think you've convinced me to go with Xbox X, then I can purchase an Expansion card to allow him to plug it into either console to play his 'digital' games + we can still play the 'disc' games we have from Xbox 360 & Xbox 1.
THANKS ❣️❣️❣️
You a fine ass g-ma!!
you sound like an awesome grandma
so im selling my ps4 to get a xbox s or x for budget issue im haven't 4k monitor have tv but my personal room and my monitor is 1440p also storage and my main 5 games must be on discs.. so what's the option here ... addition to this whats the different price range between this two devices?
I got a mint condition series s with original box and everything included for $170 I already have a ps5 but I wanted to be able to use the xbox ecosystem it was such a great way to access that.
Same, got a basically new one last June for around that price. Played so many great games I never got a chance to try. Gears, Halo etc. great little machine
Perfect video my guy❤
Bro good video Bruda I've been an Xbox guy with all my life. Starting from the original Xbox than the Xbox 360. Now the Xbox One X and now the Xbox Series X the final masterpiece. YA its pricey but well worth it like alot of my old game and would Love to see them under a new platform.
Nice review and comparison
Series S is what I have and i love it, cant ask for anything better, especially for its 300 dollar price point. I care nothing about 4k output, 1440p is more than enough, the loading speed is super fast, its not overly big, perfect console for the next gen Era IMO. Also, 30fps, 60fps, 120fps, I care nothing about. I enjoy 30fps very much, it's closer to real movement, 60 and 120fps are great, don't get me wrong, but I'm good with any of them💯👈 update, I bought a PS5 Spiderman 2 bundle 😬 couldn't help it, I have to have both.
Series S rocks 120FPS where series X does not.

I went with the Xbox X 1 terabyte...I will let everyone know how it performed over the Christmas holidays... cheers to you!!!
Thanks for this Ive been thinking about getting one probably gonna get the X
Great comparison. I'm going to go with the X series because I want the extra power and resolution. I also have have a classic dvd collection i like to watch like robocop, terminator 2, etc plus I'm old school too i guess because i like to have hard copies of games to collect
Terminator 2 😊 nice
What game was that at 3:20 - 3:25 ?
Is there any value in getting either if I already have a PS5 and a Steamdeck?
The s for exclusives I guess 🤷🏽♂️
I’m one of the average gamers and I only play sports games and maybe a car game here and there like Forza 5 . I play everyday but I’m not good enough to beat anyone in sports games even though I know the sport better than most people I’d play I still get beaten by the 2nd quarter. I do still appreciate good graphics and new and better technology. I’m buying the X in a couple of days and I can’t wait to play my WWE ,NBA,THE SHOW, of course Madden!! Great video and thanks for the info you answered all of my questions thanks!!
What are significant advantages of x over s besides graphics and storage?
I think both are fine but I don't care how good a game looks long as I can play it, I wanna get an Series S cause its cheaper and I wanna finally get into the Halo Games and Sunset Overdrive been wanting to play those games for years
Halo is great and play extremely well on the Series S. I just bought the series S carbon and the master chief collection and halo infinite run really well on it.
Sunset Overdrive is batshit fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
me too mate, i need an upgrade from my switch and I'm getting one for Christmas, it's gonna be a blast for sure!
Someone please help, how do I get the always changing background❗️ mine started with my old Xbox background

Xbox series s black series review next
In my opinion invest into the future.
The money saved in XBox S now, may be more expensive than spending some more in XBox X in zwo or 3 Years from now.
Good info. New to games after a 30 year break. I’m going with the S to play world of warships.
Your should try naval mode in Warthunder if you like more "realistic" gameplay it's also free to play
Thank you brother ✌️
and i may buy 2-3 games for lifetime and also considering a game pass. So instead of going for Xbox X or PS5 i can get all those with xbox s but my question is am i going to miss anything if im opting S instead of X and Ps5 ?. Games that i like to play are World war z, Tekken 8, mortal combat, GTA 5, Batman Arkham Knight, spiderman etc
Good video bro
Loving that tune at the beginning and end! I was totally expecting Ghostface or ODB to kick in 😁😎
Can anyone tell what’s the boxing game called ? 6.07 TIA
I want to get a Xbox just to play fight night champion.so I should definitely go with the S?
Had my series s since it launched, been brilliant for what I’ve wanted it for, however I’ve literally just bought the series x as an upgrade so we will see how that goes and if there’s much difference once it arrives. I did consider the PS5 but I just can’t bring myself to get one as I’ve been Xbox since the very first console and I haven’t looked back!

probably getting the series s. i'm a laptop gamer and i wanted to upgrade my gaming experience so i'm going to build a gaming set up, revamp my room, get a pc and monitor, then an xbox and a tv hopefully in the next year
I’m wanting to buy a new Xbox (I had a 360 slim before) but I want to play my games with both physically and digitally so I should get the Xbox series X (which I believe is the black one) and how what storage sizes are there because I want to get the highest one possible.
yeah the black one is the series x its just the bigger one. I think the internal storage stuff is like 512 gb, 1 tb, and 2 tb.
Insightful
This whole video- and I aint seen Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 in your game list LOL :)
So if I only have 1080p TVs and monitors, is that reason enough to go for the S? What about framerate and graphics quality besides resolution?
As for storage, the leaked new version of the S should have 1TB so that should be better...
Does storage matter?
On my Ps5 I just load 6 game and delete /reinstall after that .
Never ran into a game THAT TAKES LONGER THAN 15 MIN TO REINSTAL .
@@Crashed131963 I don't know but apparently there are already nowadays games that are 150+ GB and that's only going to increase over time, so...
I'm on the same boat as you. Only have a 1080p 24" monitor and a 1080p 40" TV. I barely use my TV so not willing to invest in a better one.
In this situation I think the Series X is just overkill, especially if you buy games digitally anyway.
The new Series S Carbon Black (1TB) seems like a good option. It also takes up less space so it looks better on the shelf and it's easier to take it with you in a backpack. Plus the fact that it's cheaper.
There's plenty of videos that show side-by-side comparisons and it gives a better idea than looking at numbers and charts. To me, the output looks extremely close (on a 1080p screen) even if there'd be less raytracing effects.
@@VladTheRad Internet also keeps getting faster . A 150gb game downloads quick on a 500-800 mbps connection.
In my case I only play single player offline games , they are not 150gb large .
@@Chertograad It's just not about resolution . Larian announced it will not have multiplayer for BDG3 for Xbox-S but only for Xbox-X.
I play more Ps4 games on my ps5 because so many have the free 1440p/60fps patch and 4k/60 fps enhancement.
Even on a 1080p TV 1080p/60fps is worth the move up from the S.
Cowboys helmet on desk looks nice. Subscribed
If I don’t have a blue-ray player and want one, no-brainer is to get the X rather than the series S and blue-ray?
Just curios.
Does it make a difference on graphics if you don’t have a 4k tv?
Yes
Not much
The sad thing is the series s got on the new games some problems 👀 i mean on Remnant 2 with the new dlc the game crashes and on the beta from the first descendant the game crashed a loot and some people say that ark got a delay because of the series s 👀 i mean i have the series s but i go and buy a x now 👀
I have a xbox one but i want to buy a xbox series s. Can i play my xbox one games on the s ?

I have a Xbox one s so I have to upgrade for gulf war and gta 6 coming next year so I’m getting one and I just waiting for a good game to come out
I'm planning to buy Xbox Series S coz of Game Pass. It made gaming really affordable. I was planning to go for pc where piracy is possible but I thought that's kinda illegal and not fair so I have decided to buy Series S.
There's a game pass on pc as well. It's 9.99$ a month (so cheaper than on xbox since you can play online for free) and it has the same exact games. Go for a PC and get a controller as well, I promise you won't regret it. There's lots of games you're missing out on (like steam/epic games) and you can also mod your games. If your budget is really tight then series s isn't a bad choice, but for a bit more you can build a really great gaming pc with a RX 6600 that's just as performant
Also the pc with same cost as series s will not give performance as series s
Not a bad idea plus if you change your mind, you can turn your series S into emulation on the side
I've grown up with playstation and nintendo for the most part, but I'm actually going to get the series s for Christmas, and thats what is enough for me, I'm going to drop my jaw when i first enter the world of the next gen, I don't care if it's less powerful than the series x or the ps5, it's fairly cheap and totally worth the money, especially with the game pass!
PC is my main, wanted a console for family stuff and man its great. S all the way. I did have to het that storage expansion tho so heads up that. It says 500GB but its actually only like 350GB when you got it all set up.
Which one should I get if I play in monitor?
Séries S
I have an Xbox series x but want to pull the trigger on the ps5 that’s on my kart
do it. i have ps5 and i just got the series s to literally play halo xd
Series x is obviously better but series s is the best deal for the price. Only $250-$300 for a 120 fps gaming console is insane
the Series S is enough for me
Just bought the Series S 1 TB console and I can't be more excited for it to arrive. It's enough for me as a casual gamer to serve as a starting point plus my TV cannot even use the full potential of the Series X had I decided to buy that one. The X is powerful, yes, but if you don't have monitors/TVs that can extract its full power and performance, better to stick with the S.
is it worth it if i got the x for 350?
thx for this info. Getting the X for sure
How you gonna use some ninja turtle game from 04to show how good it looks 😂
Haha I know. Compares graphics on a pos game lol
I got a series s as a second console. It’s small compact plays all the Xbox games connects to gamepass and was cheap. I got the console brand new for £99 that’s crazy. Next gen system last gen price. Features like quick resume are the best if you want a quick game without all the loading screens. Whisper quiet to run and uses around half the electricity of similar systems such as ps5 or series x so it’s cost savings continue after purchase.
Where did you buy it from?
Xss for now then upgrade next year
I bought the x for the drive so i can play the old 360 games you can get the discs for pennies but the digital is. Nearly full price
Dude. Advice. Dont use a pixel art game to show case the difference in graphical fidelity.
I have a feeling that at some point Microsoft will drop parity requirements between the two systems in order to increase the life span of the series X. When the X Box 360 launched, developers couldn’t require a hard drive install for games which ended up hurting their competition with Sony who had a lot more disc space to work with. When Microsoft released the 250 gig model and started allowing developers to require an install, games were able to be produced that went beyond what the system was originally capable of. You see this with games like Battlefield 3 and Grand Theft Auto 5.
Idk why people worry about storage space when you can get the Xbox ssd card lmao same shit
Im getting a 6 month old X from a friend with only 20 hours of play on it for the price of an S. System and an extra controller for $375. I think thats an amazing deal and im happy to be getting it.
You got ripped off
@@RambosAdventures considering it was $150 under retail. Im happy. But thanks.
I will get the Xbox Series S Carbon Black, bc is the same as Series S but it has that 1TB so yeah
Looks like a high will go for the Xbox S, I don't have 2020 vision, far from it, so I certainly wouldn't notice the difference the X provides
My issue is how vague Microsoft has been about the S. Sometimes I'll see something about how the S is gonna disappear, then later Microsoft makes a 1TB version of it. Why would they do that if they were gonna ditch it? Then the opinions of absolute nerds who make everything about the numbers, hard to tell what to do here. I want new gen, but I don't want a bunch of absolute nerds spewing out nunbers and parts at me. I'll just buy the S and tell everyone to suck it lol
They dont need to ditch it. It can run every game the X can run
Do they both get 120 frames?
Series S can target 120fps but usually fall somewhere just below. Great little machine tho
@@mightydazkenAlso depends on your game and wifi connection.
I'm definitely about the Series X but i am enjoying my Black Series S. I do like how small it is.
thanks
if i play on a 144hz monitor what xbox should i buy ?
Doesn't matter you would get 120 fps on both
Is series s next gen like the series x?
Yes
Which is better? Is that a serious question?
If you care about absolute performance and resolution amd prefer physical media then get the seris x. If you just care about playing games not worrying about resolution and performance then get the series s. If you travel then get both. You can use the X as your home console and use the S as your travel console. Either way up to you
I would say if you have the chance to get Series X, get it, since remember there's always gonna be a new console every 10 or so years, so if you have the "better" console for that Generation, the better is for you for later releases
Honestly, Ive had the Xbox Series S for 3 years and I have to say that its well worth the price for 300 bucks! Especially now owning a MSI 1440p resolution gaming monitor with a great IPS Rapid panel, not sure why some people " Oh you don't own the games when you buy them digital" how would you not own games if you BOUGHT the game?? That wouldn't make any sense so the Series S is just an insane small machine with great power and technology it has built in. Games will always play amazing on the Series S, people just get way too negative or over hype 4k content which is why I think 1440p content is not also amazing but very underrated. Xbox Series S for the win for great power and portability!
You buy the license to use the game you never own it ...;)
@@Ethernine9 um ok?
Well obviously Xbox series X is better but the Xbox series s is cheap if you don't want to pay a bunch of money and it's 1440p graphics and it can get 80 to 100 fps on call of duty warzone and on some other games or even if you're a ps5 user just looking to get into Xbox easy choice to get an Xbox series s and buy game pass but i bought an Xbox series X because it's a better choice in my opinion but it's more expensive I'd recommend the Xbox series s black edition for the 1tb memory
Honestly after owning both I recommend the Series X. The X is on sale for 350$ rn which is 50$ more than the Series S. And for 50$ more, your getting better load times, better visuals and over all better performance. Also it comes with more storage. That 500gb series S was not it. Also, I just changed mine for the new 1TB option and its a breath of fresh air. The black color and having enough space to download games and try them out while at the same time still having the games I want to play installed.

This right here was what I needed. I have a PS5 hooked up to my LG OLED as well. I bought my ps5 the same time I bought my OLED TV which was this year. PlayStation 5 doesn’t have backwards compatibility, doesn’t have game pass, console looks ugly as shit and is way too huge, and it’s also lacking key Xbox exclusives like all of the backwards compatibility games and Halo and Starfield.

As someone with a ps5 I really don't see the point in spending another $500 on a console so the Series S is the way to go in this case
I’m thinking the same thing, I love my ps5, but I wanna get a Xbox to play palworld
Palworld is not worth the change ! It's fun but it leaves a lot to be desired
Just got the S its more then enough 🎉!
I bought Series S first bc I couldn’t find a Series X but 6-9 months later I found the Series X
I have the same hat!
I bought Sefies S new one for 200€ and 2 TB extra storage 100€. SO, for 300€ I got new gen console for more than double storage than Series X has. Definietly good deal. I love white colour more and its so light and tiny so I can easily take it to the friends house.
I have my Xbox One S still like a new, keeping it for owned xbox360 and One physical games but my digital library is over all bigger than my disc collection.
For new gen consoles I would not buy physical games anymore anyhow because code in the disc is not same as game in the disc "stick the game in and play" . U need to go through same downloading process and the game takes same storage room from your hard drive than if u buy the code without disc and download it. so disc is pretty useless nowdays.
Disc's can be cheaper. But buying codes is definitely smarter than buying through microsoft store. (Unless theres some crazy discount).
@@levi5468 Xbox store has often even up to 70% discounts. Then they offer sometimes "special" discounts up to 90%. And I buy my codes from 3rd party internet sites for cheap too.
I never buy full priced games, not even close.
I heard that some games won’t be able to be played on the Xbox s, is that true?
Never had an issue
