Petty and The Heartbreakers rocked the Hollywood Bowl two nights ago, Friday night Oct 1, 2010 .... I was near the stage ..... damn they are great !!!! They played this new song ..... So good in person .... I met Ron and Steve at the 'after party' ...very nice men ....

I got to see his tour last summer and it was so sweet. He looked like he was having fun, especially on "I Should Have Known It". And the two hour parade of gorgeous guitars was the icing on the cake.
I just can't have enough of their music. Brilliant.

I went and saw Fleetwod Mac last summer just so I could hear and watch Mike play. Killer (as usual)!

From what I've heard so far this album is yet another home run by TP&TH.
It's to the point that I just know it's gonna be a great release, each album.
I can't help but comment that I would love to spend a week in that studio hands on, with all that gear and be able to hang out with the band and jam. What a vacation that would be!
Reminds me of the double-lead riffs that were so common in the early Mudcrutch days back in Gainesville - before Heartbreakers.

thank you for that great comment he was with him for almost 26 years and yet all the Stan Lynch whiners and cryer's don't realize how long Steve was in the band fantastic drummer.. just like Toto the Heartbreakers could pretty much be found jamming with anybody contributing with anybody which is what made them so damn awesome still the talent

I do believe I seen him in 82 when I was stationed there. Tom had his band stop playing because 2 GIs were fighting. He told them to quit fighting cause they were making us look bad. They quit and the band played on.

Sounds great, love it so far and looking forward to hearing the entire album. Good to get back to the roots and dig into his heart on this one/last good album. Sounds like's he's found his sound, good for him, he's a rock icon that deserves this.
