    I'm probably not their target audience but honestly I think the price tag is totally absurd, to me these sort of tools seem better suited towards amateurs with low-end setups and even with the discount you'd be better off spending $100-$200 on upgrading your mic and the other $100 on improving your setup such as sound damping foam/pop filter or whatever you need, as you said it's not always possible but when it is, seems like a much more sound investment...

      I know your comment is 3 years old BUT -> I think there are also people who make client work and sometimes get shitty audio quality to work with and want to speed up the process for making that sound better, so these kind of tools are probably perfectly suited for that, but I totally get what you mean.

    My honest take away from this, spend the $500 on improving your recording environment.

      These plugins are really meant for situations where you cannot control and tame those reflections and noises and whatnot.

      Yeah, pretty much the same as the RX3 suite by isotope, but much less granular :/

      I can see a lot of value in this for someone who has to film out in the field and the recording environment can vary wildly. But yeah if you record in a studio, $500 is much better spent on your environment

    it doesnt remove reverb at all, it removes only reverb at the end of words, its an allusion to think that there is no longuer reverb

    What would your recommendation be to do this manually in something like Audition CC? Before buying something like this, it would be better if you could know exactly what's going on. Like learning first to drive with a shift stick and then an automatic car.

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  Před 6 lety

      Learn with what you have. Audition CC has some noise removal software if I'm not mistaken.

    • @str8frmthacr8
      @str8frmthacr8 Před 4 lety

      Podcastage it's not the greatest. Even using REALLY LIGHTLY your sound will still sound fuzzy. It seems like it just removed the noise around the audio, but it was very clear within the audio. It sounds like it may have tried to lower that noise within the audio, but does a very poor job as it kind of just destroys it. I would recommend that if you have a box fan a couple of rooms away. Lol

    I think I'd spend the money on products/materials to help reduce recording anomalies or making a ghetto engineered collapsible booth lined with duvets to help eliminate recording anomalies.
    Once something is committed to disk I think it's generally too late to salvage it if it's got all manner of noises all over it. We have to accept it in some cases but if you are recording in your own environment, fix the environment before buying plug-ins... unless you are loaded!

    If you do travel podcasts with no control over recording environment, then this could be helpful.
    I would be interested in seeing this tested against AudioTechnica BPHS-1 for background noise rejection,
    and test application with Amazon Pro for $#!7 mic salvation....and plosives

  • @QuickQuips
    @QuickQuips Před 6 lety

    Oof. 500? Acon Digital Restoration suite is 100. Enough for Fabfilter Essentials which is compression, eq, and reverb.
    Going dynamic in the beginning as well as getting a staple gun, muslin, and lots of mineral wool to make bass traps should help a ton too.
    BTW are you going to try isolation panels? There's one by Neewer on AliExpress that seems like an Se Reflexion clone.

  • @biteme263

    Isn't this all stuff you can get for free from other places? Heck reaper will do most of this and if you just want the plug ins they are free. The price seems insane to me. For that kind of money they better work miracles, and from what I saw they don't. Some of them didn't seem to do much of anything.

    Are these plugins working in real time? As in you can put it into a mixer and output into skype or discord etc?
    A bad recording will always sound bad, but wouldn’t it be better to work on audio in post than use these plugins?

    • @briando8150
      @briando8150 Před 6 lety

      Mark Wright yea, I realize there's no point in trying to sound good for a friendly call, but I was just wondering if it's possible.
      And I agree, I think the only reason Skype is still alive is because either business and/or Microsoft is clinging onto it

    • @luqmannhaqeem
      @luqmannhaqeem Před 6 lety

      Brian D It is possible though, with relatively low latency.
      Mic>Audio Interface>Voicemeeter>Cantabile Lite>Voicemeeter>Discord.
      I know it has low latency because I monitor my mic input during streaming and I barely notice any delay. Or maybe I've gotten used to it, Idk but it's something you can try yourself.

    • @luqmannhaqeem
      @luqmannhaqeem Před 6 lety

      Mark Wright I was talking about voice effects tho, sorry it got you confused lol.
      Other than that I have tons of extension cords on my desk which causes a lot of noise so I used a little bit of noise remover, de-esser, a noise gate and a tiny bit of compression. Just to make my voice "whole." I have an almost identical setup as yours but different conditions I guess.

    Can someone tell how to remove background noise completely and make my microphone focus only on my voice, means doesn't catch any other sound except some distance. How can it be possible? Please tell me. I teach English Online so sometimes, it becomes a hassle for me when there's some noises around. I teach On skype.

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  Před 5 lety

      Only way to fully remove any external sounds would be create a sound booth.

    • @Mope333
      @Mope333 Před 2 lety
