Another thing to note is scroll wheel is automatically bound to weapon swap on keyboard. So every time I was tap strafing with left thumb stick it would do both the tap strafe and switch weapons or pull out my previous holstered weapon. Just rebind weapon swap to some other key and it works fine.

if you want to keep L3 as toggle zoom, just create another command for Left Stick Click under the "Left Joystick (Mode Shift)" and bind it to whatever your toggle zoom is in game; for me it was LSHIFT

Hey so I'm weird and I use a different button to enable mode shift. When I do use it, I just stop sprinting even with auto sprint. Is there any way to fix this?

question, i use two controllers. the first controller worked right, with the zoom working, but when i plugged in my other controller, the zoom doesn't work and only pings which makes it weird. I double checked the configs and nothing changed when i plug in different controllers. any fix on this?

when i tap strafe, am I supposed to hold the L3 and then hit direection in same stick but also move R3 same way to look that way so I can wall bounce?
If you have back paddles you can map the button that activates the Strafe to "X", Then Have your paddle mapped to "X" you wont have to switch your zoom button and whenever you go to strafe you wont reload, reload only activates on a quick press. It feels natural to have my left paddle as jump and right one as strafe

@@loststill1056 I use a PS4 controller with back paddle attachment. Then I use button puncher layout. I downloaded the TapStrafeApexExtesyy from the community layouts on steam that uses L3 as strafe activation. Let me know how you go

been having trouble supergliding and even bunny hopping since using this it’s like it’s not registering or the timing is off, any idea why?
i use my right bumper to ping but my Left joystick is to zoom and im not sure why i cant tap strafe, i copied everything but where u have ur "x-button" for ping i set it to right bumper

Go into your Apex Mouse & Keyboard settings and make sure L is your zoom in button also if tap strafe isn’t working properly add mouse wheel up as the second move forward option in mouse n key settings again

to fix my Zoom on controller in-game i remapped Sprint/Toggle Zoom keyboard setting in-game to the P key. Then i changed my Left Trigger "Soft Pull" mapping to P. This lets me change the zoom by simply tapping L while i am already holding L to ADS in game.
Is there any way to make it instead of pressing Left Stick down, to just point it in a direction ?

Some people do short press. But regular press would be impossible. It’s about how long you hold it for the input

Two questions Im adept at how these settings actually work in game but for the life of me i cant figure out the benefit of the scroll wheel up?. Does it have anythign to do with the repeat rate being 10? I usually run my repeat rate at 1000 am I hurting myself that way?
it instantly make you move in the direction of you choosing with no delay as if you just strafe in any direction there is a slight delay

I've always had my activation on X (jump) so when if i want to tap strafe i hold jump, if i want to just jump i would tap X. Something happened to settings. Suddenly i cant move when i hold my activation button and then i can once i release it... Any idea what could be wrong..?

So my tap strafe is working but my issue I can't climb things, I can mantle if its short enough but my climbing speed is so slow that i'll have to switch to keyboard for a second to climb the wall and switch back

When i click the left joystick it swaps guns and when im running with my hands out and do the tap strafe when i click the button in without any direction it swaps my hands to my gun?

It’s because on keyboard you can switch guns with that button. Go to keyboard settings and take it if scroll wheel
What @sesuee said go to mouse and keyboard settings and do that, if it still doesn’t work try adding scroll wheel up as your second move forward option (aswell as W)
I had tap strafe on Old Steam step up. Just got on today and now my setting are gone. Tried yours on the new Steam layout to set everything up and tap strafe isn’t working at all. Please Help

When I hold the left joystick down and switch modes it automatically switch back to controller whenever i move my right stick. So I can't look around when I'm holding the mode shift which means I cant tap strafe. How do I fix this?

There’s a better tap strafe method. It’s similar without the left stick clicks

@@Retro721 you can make it to just the direction of the stick. Not the clicks. And I use A(my back paddle) to activate it

I followed the step exactly to a T and now my controller buttons don’t work at all besides the left joystick will move me. I can’t even use my controller in the main menu

bruh,this fufkced my settings up somehow and i did everything the same as u(did it tge last epsidoes aswell), its making me canel heals anytime i press button and cancleing some movments(did the scdhroll wheel in apaex settings(i play similar to bumper jumper tacitlcle in cod settings in apex controler settings custom)
