Love the comment not a single phone, we didn't have phones and I'm thankful. Such great music back then. From Massachusetts and remember hearing Aerosmith playing at the Westboro Speedway from my house Aerosmith was from Mass and this was before they became big. Saw Bob Seger, Springsteen, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Allman Brothers, Outlaws (sweatbox Cap Cod Coliseum), Bryan Adams, Jimmy Buffett, and so much more. Don't like being older but wouldn't trade it for anything.

Bryan Adams was at the peak of his success with this song “Everything I Do, I Do it For You “. From the Kevin Costner movie soundtrack Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. The song is probably the best thing about the movie. Costner was a serious mis-cast.
Bryan was one of those artists from the 1980’s whose music had a real rock 🪨 feel. But when the Grunge music scene began in the early nineties with bands like Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, and of cause Nirvana. He wasn’t getting heard on radio. And in those days radio was king, if you didn’t get radio play. You didn’t get heard. So he went to the next big thing, movie soundtracks. Everyone used to go to movies back in those days. Even line up to see the latest blockbuster movie from Hollywood at their local multiplex cinema 🎦. So movie soundtracks became famous and Bryan Adams was able to have another mega hit with this song.

No question music was better then. And its not because there was more talent, its because the landscape has changed. The internet and reality shows has made music less demanding as anyone can be famous now, but back then you had to play hundreds and hundreds of live gigs and you had to be good to make it. Also rap has taken over from music.
