    Hello ASL Heroes!!!
    Hey, if you are in a position to, I could really use your help.
    If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you.
    A small monthly donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com.
    Right now you can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!”

    Thanks!

    p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL videos (that’s the equivalent of two years of colleges classes) for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at:

    Take care and love to you all.

    Note: The audience here is college students (not children).
    This is NOT a video of me telling the story for children. Rather it is me showing college students a way (one way out of many, many ways) to playfully tell a story using various ASL depictions.

    Tip: If you "do" work with kids -- they LOVE to take part in this type of story. Get seven or eight children and let each child be something (such as one of the houses, one of the pigs, the fire, or the wolf."

    The ... "non standard" ending at the end reminds me of Roald Dahl's twisted version in his book Revolting Rhymes.
    www.familyfriendpoems.com/poem/the-three-little-pigs-by-roald-dahl

    • @sign-language
      @sign-language  Před 4 lety +6

      Eh? Non-standard?
      According to Wikipedia, the traditional ending was the eating of the wolf:
      "...the wolf resolves to come down the chimney, whereupon the pig catches the wolf in a pot of boiling water, slams the lid on, then cooks and eats him."
      So, I would humbly suggest that the "ending" I used is the "old school" (traditional) version of this story.
      "Disney" and other storytellers have chosen to make things less graphic for the "young" members of their audience.

    Hello

  • @dogsareawomansbestfriend

    Do you by chance have any signs to communicate with a deaf puppy?

    • @sign-language
      @sign-language  Před 2 lety +1

      My dog knows basic signs like: sit, come here, go for a walk, etc. Just use basic signs with your dog (and, assuming you are Hearing / can talk) talk to your dog while doing the signs because dogs look at the whole situation and associate everything (your facial expressions, your mouth movements, your hand movements, the time of day, whether you are holding a leash, etc.) to figure out what you want or are trying to communicate.
