  • Bigfoot specialist and cryptozoologist Cliff Barackman explores the best evidence available for the existence of sasquatch as a real species. Barackman includes Indigenous artifacts, footprint casts, film and photo evidence, and more.
Cliff Barackman has been doing bigfoot field research since 1994. His expeditions have taken him to 46 states and five continents in search of evidence supporting the existence of undiscovered hominoids worldwide.
As the evidence analyst on Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot," Cliff has applied his skill and expertise to a variety of photographic, video, film, and sound evidence. He has appeared on many other television shows and documentaries as a bigfoot specialist and cryptozoologist.
Cliff is especially familiar with the footprint and handprint evidence for sasquatches, and he is the curator for one of the largest collections of cast evidence in the world. His collection includes impressions from North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. Cliff and his wife Melissa own and curate the North American Bigfoot Center in Boring, Oregon, which features the largest public collection of bigfoot evidence in the Pacific Northwest.
Besides his bigfoot interests, Cliff also is an accomplished guitarist. You can often find him quietly strumming on the porch of his rural property on the western slopes of Mount Hood, deep in the heart of sasquatch country.

I had a terrifying encounter in 2013 with a huge 9 or 10 foot male in northern Alabama. It has changed my whole life when it comes to walking in the woods. I never go alone, and i always carry protection. I used to love camping and hunting, now i stay at the recreation areas with other people near. I believe most are nice, but too many people disappear in the woods every year.

Your weapon is not enough should it decide to attack. Its not some dumb animal that will charge at you from 50 yards away in the open. It is a master of the environment in ways we can't comprehend. In the woods, humans are like clumsy children, compared to them. They would already know your route, where one of a family group would go ahead, while others shepard u to the kill zone. The one that went ahead would then drop down from the tree branches above and despatch u before u raise your gun. They go in trees, as there scent is harder to detect, but also like there typical food sources, deer, elk etc, humans don't look up into trees. Especially when a human is spooked with adrenaline surge. Humans look ahead, behind, 360 degrees, but rarely up. They know we don't look up.

I've also heard a Native lady say of this rock art that BF is crying b/c he doesn't want them to be scared of him. Everyone was running away when they saw one. BF was lonely b/c of this. SO....there's always another story it seems. I'm Native American. My tribe considers them to be just another type of people. One tribe even spoke their language and traded with them. He came to help my tribe with the planting and harvesting of crops, then in winter headed back west and north towards his home. So many stories....

When I was a kid living in Illinois, close to the Missouri border, we heard about MoMo the Monster (Missouri Monster). About 10 years ago, now living in Missouri, I actually saw one. I wouldn't call it a monster. My encounter was very quick and not dramatic at all. It tried to blend into the shadows & stopped moving as soon as it saw me. This was in a town of about 40K, but the surrounding areas are very rural. It was approx 7 to 7.5 feet tall, and I didn't feel threatened at all, but I thought it viewed my dog as a possible threat. I simply took my dog back into the house so that it could do whatever it needed to do. I never saw it again.

The Patterson/Gimlin Film taken here in Northern California is pretty convincing evidence in my opinion. That and the fact that Native American Tribes have had oral accounts dating back 100s of years of large Bipedal Hair Covered Men . I live in Northern California in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. And there are documented sightings by settlers and miners of Bigfoot or Large Hair Covered Bipedal creatures that date back to the gold rush of the mid 1800s here . I've read multiple accounts of sightings by settlers and miners right here where I have lived for 50 years. It's pretty cool.

So I grabbed my pistol and he and I went out and it was pitch black that night. In the front yard was grass and surrounded by a 5 foot rail fence and on the other side was a small garden that was butted up against a small creek and on the other side of the creek was a real steep cliff that deers would climb and my dog would have trouble going after them it was so steep…we took a knee there in the pitch black and listened ….something threw from on too the cliff across the creek and across the garden with had to be something like 20 yards a basketball sized rock that landed one foot to my left and my friend was right next to me on my right….a human couldn’t of thrown that and the rock didn’t roll down the hill. I recall an interesting program that had Jeff Meldrum on it, perhaps 15-20 years ago, where he discussed the dermal ridges, the 'fingerprints' on a plaster casting. If I recall correctly, he said that the patterns of dermal ridges in humans run in one direction, those of known primates run a different direction and the ones on the bigfoot casting run still a third different direction. That's what sold me on Bigfoot's existence. One might be able to make a fake casting, but highly unlikely that anyone could include the fine details of dermal ridges, and different than humans or other primates. I've had several experiences that fall into the Class B category, like rock-throwing, banging stones together, vocalizations, unusual footprints in sandy areas, etc.

As someone else said, drones are very loud and on top of that can only stay up for a short period of time, usually less than an hour up to maybe two if you have a very expensive drone. I had a 8K drone that had night vision and could stay up in the air for about 45 minutes to an hour. Now, it could travel at 45 to 50 mph to get somewhere fast and it could fly about 2 to 3 miles away from my location, with the issue being because you aren’t near it, You can only make guesstimate based off of the live video feed, as to how close anyone object is. Now the good thing about my drone is it has sensors that let you know if something is within 10 to 15 feet. But I think best case scenario, in the fall or winter when there are no leaves on the trees, you may be able to see something… But zooming in is going to give you the same results as you normally see on the films and that is the blurriness. Even at 8K there’s only so far you can go before things start looking blurry due to compression. Best case scenario, you have a Drone with a large camera, say a 1 inch, preferably 2 inch, lens that can catch better low light… you might have a better chance, but due to the fact that these things can only stay up in the air for so long and make so much noise… Not to mention you can only get so close… It’s really not much better than being on the ground.
I have always said that best case scenario is to put up dozens, if not hundreds, of 4K cameras with night vision and leave them stationary recording 24 hours a day, with solar panels providing them power and huge memory cards to keep them going for weeks and months if not more at a time. It’s probably going to be the only way to catch real proof, that can be examined. Because if you locate the cameras in a circular pattern away from each other, maybe each camera 20 feet away from the next, you could catch the movement from camera to camera and catch the movement and the behaviors, not to mention may be the migratory pattern and socialization of the creatures.
Even if we get the clearest, most convincing footage through multiple cameras… I think until there is a body, science is never going to admit one way or the other these things exist. Because without existential proof, no one is going to want to put their degree or reputation on the line for theoretical hypothesis. When they work so hard for so many years to build up that reputation. Which is why you don’t see many try to prove or disprove them. I’m sure, if you put the evidence in front of them they will look over it , but quietly and with extreme skepticism. Believe me, I would say 50 to 75% of them would love for it to be true and for them to of helped with the discovery. But, they wouldn’t put their neck on the line or their career, unless they were 100% convinced.
If anybody has that kind of proof, it’s probably our government. Because through satellite technology, Infrared and infinite tracking capabilities… It would be easy enough for them to not only find one of these things in the wilderness through its own body heat, but track it and know exactly where it essentially lives and camps out. Therefore, being able to locate and know 100% whether or not these things are real. But, just as until recently, they hid the fact that UFOs exist. They are probably doing the same with these creatures, fearing that hunters will destroy them. Especially if there’s not a whole bunch of them left around the world.
So who knows. Truthfully, the kid inside me ever since I was six years old or maybe even younger, wants it to be true and them to be real. But, the scientist in my brain wants what everybody else does, solid proof. So I’m hopeful, but rightfully skeptical. Thinking it’s very possible that Native Americans invented stories of this creature, simply to scare the kids from going in the woods and getting attacked by a bear or something. And also maybe their enemies, thinking that they can also be attacked and killed by them.
We will truly never know until it is 100% proven. Again, I absolutely want them to be real. I think it would be awesome to have something like that still existing and surviving in this world. Then again, if we find out the truth, how much risk does it put their species in? Because you know that psycho hunters would want to pursue, kill and stuff one of these things… to have sitting in their house for bragging purposes. So is it best that we don’t find these things?

I think today we are so accustomed to having instant access to pictures and scientific agreement and entire schools of information on every animal under the sun that we have totally forgotten than only 100 to 200 years ago the majority of average people had no idea that most of the amazing animals we all know about today existed. Lions, tigers, elephants are all animals that people would pay to see at circuses and zoos because they didn't have any other access to seeing them like digital or even analog photographs. Those animals were as mythological as dragons just a few hundred years ago...... So, this manner of taking things for granted blinds us to the possibility that we already have discovered this creature and are encountering great difficulty in establishing it because of its extraordinary preference for remaining hidden, not from other wild animals, but specifically from us

I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I was raised in southern Oklahoma we had many many miles of woods and Creeks around our house this was basically the playground of me and my younger two brothers, basically my childhood was spent in the woods never saw anything suspicious, fast forward to 2020. I'm living in Dallas-Fort Worth in an RV park right on a lake, I probably shouldn't specify which particular Lake that summer I had started collecting Driftwood as a hobby I would collect it, sand it down, stain it and polyurethane it. I thought it looked really cool and had fun doing it for awhile ..in order to get this Driftwood I had to walk down into the woods behind the RV park where there was millions of pieces of Driftwood laying on the beach. I was down there in the daytime, the first time I encountered anything, I heard something following me every time I would stop it would stop, every time I would go it would go, it kind of freaked me out a little, but not too bad, the second time I was down with my cousin we got separated on the beach and the woods were very thick at the place where I was at and it happened again with the following, stopping, starting. I had lost my life partner she had died at around 40 years old a couple years previous and I was living in a "wild" time of my life and there were a few strange "characters" coming around my place and one had a bunch of copper wire coated in rubber they wanted to burn to go sale. This guy asked me if I knew a place where he could burn the rubber off of the copper without getting caught. At the time I didn't Really Care One Way or Another so I told him yeah, down in the woods behind the RV Park where I get my Driftwood it's real woodsy and should not be a problem if you do it late at night. So at about 3 in the morning I'm down behind the RV park with the strange man with this copper and showed him the spot to start burning, when he lit the fire I did not realize how much smoke it would make, I instantly regretted my decision thinking..oh crap.. we're busted. that was way too much smoke, basically a smoke signal for anyone nearby ..even at night time. The trail down into the woods was an old gas company Trail where the woods were cut back ,that we had walked down to get to the spot, I retreated about 100 ft away from the burning copper and crossed the gas line path to the other side and sat down in some tall bushes to watch the front of the path towards the RV Park, basically looking out for the cops, who I thought would probably arrive at any moment... as I'm sitting in the Tallgrass watching, waiting... something came running down the hill behind me on 2 feet, is what it sounded like, and very aggressively ..and stopped about 20 feet behind me. Needless to say it caught my attention. I crossed back across the gas line trail to the burning copper side of the trail, and sat down in another patch of Tallgrass to continue watching. I look to my left and peering at me out of another patch of Tall Grass about 20 ft away, was what appeared to be a juvenile Sasquatch.... it looked just like the Sasquatch you've all seen on drawings and TV, except smaller and the eyes were same size as the adults should be, in other words the eyes were way too big for the body. Kind of like they must be born with those big eyes and grow into them, I have no idea really that's just what I saw. I went and got the guy burning copper. Luckily he was wrapping up and we got the heck out of there. A week or two later I found a spot to drive down toward the lake instead of walking so I decided to inspect this bulldozed "road". I've highlighted the word Road because it was barely a trail, with roots sticking up everywhere, just basically a very rough Trail cut through the forest with a bulldozer. It led me straight to a dead end in the middle of the forest, about a half a mile of the main road, and so I turned around and got out of there... a few nights later ,I had a wild date, and as we were coming back to my house, I got the bright idea to turn onto this road, take her down to the woods and have a make-out session, we got down to the dead-end we turned around I killed the truck roll down the windows and we were talking, we heard a rustling sound to the right, we both looked over and saw two sets of eyes looking right at us about 20 ft away it freaked us out ...I decided to start the truck and as I did I looked to the left and about 40 ft away in a clearing there was a large Sasquatch, and my instincts told me that it was definitely a male one, was standing straight up on two legs staring at me it must have been a full-moon night or something because I could definitely see him no problem, he could definitely see me, I started the truck and got the hell out of there, since that night I have not been back in that patch of woods or even back down to collect driftwood, I still live at the RV Park, but I stay off the beach and Out of the Woods I started acrylic painting instead.

Reddish brown hair, face similar to a gorilla, dark black beady looking eyes, couldn't see it's feet because I was too scared to get a good look at them. Pulling big huge green limbs from the trees. These limbs were around 9 to 10 feet from the ground of the tree trunks. No human can do that flat footed from the ground. The limbs were as big or bigger than The Rocks upper arms. It really stunk like a mix between a skunk & a wet unkept clean dog.

I wouldn't mind sharing a story with you sometime, I used to live out on the coast, off of Highway 6, "mile marker about 7 and 1/2" but one day I heard an adult and a couple Cubs on my the property I was Leasing, and I am referring to what only could be your Sasquatch! anyhow I could hear them over the hill! It was an area where I would generally dump my scraps, which was food cereal old fruit I had started a fire in the burn barrel to get rid of all the paper and refuge before I winterize the cabin,it took a few hours, the last thing I was doing was dumping the food and when I started the fire I started burning some of the spoiled food that was in pans in the refrigerator,it smell kind of good, like a BBQ ,that was when I decided to throw everything from that point on over the stump, down over the edge, which was a Cliff about 9 to10 ft down this area was very remote! when I started doing all this, it was mid afternoon, you know somewhere between 11:30 and maybe 1:00, I started doing the cleanup to winterize the cabin when I realized the food I had been dumping was still edible so I got rid of it over the edge and all the garbage and paper and stuff like that went to the burn barrel after quite a bit of time had passed the barrel almost burnout that's when I dumped the last of the food over the ledge and started back into the house or the cabin and went through the rest of anything I didn't want to leave there cuz I was going to let the place go back to the landlord,so maybe an hour hour-and-a-half passed from the last time I visited the burn barrel to where I was going through stuff inside the house I was a a single parent! of my little girl who was laying on the floor she was on a blanket sleeping for a couple couple hours, I didn't want to wake her up! I wanted to get the rest of place cleaned up so we could just load up into the car and get off the mountain! With my arm full of paper I was on my way out to the burn barrel before the fire went completely out, that's when I heard the dialogue between what could only be two little cubs, and eventually the adult broke off the chattering conversation or dialogue that was going on with a loud Roar! a continuous Roar! for like 90 seconds, maybe a little longer, longer than any human could do! anyhow it masks the direction that the Cubs took off in, and then it slipped away! The infant's sounded like a couple of dolphins chattering back-and-forth more like dolphins then then any other animal I could describe, the adult had a very long booming voice! that got louder and louder and louder! Almost in octaves, it was a kind of rolling increase in loudness, it stunned me,it had me pretty pretty terrified or scared, definitely terrified to the point of being off balance for a moment, and then total silence and it was gone they were gone! Along with that story and there's quite a bit to it, I have something very interesting I wouldn't mind showing you something! you'd probably only get to see once-in-a-lifetime ! If you're still in the boring area, I don't think I'm more than 5 or 7 miles away from you! I would be interested to meet you somehow or sometime!

All of a sudden I heard a sound that was like a whole stadium full of people yelling. It was not an elk, Ive heard elk bellow and holler before and it was nothing like that. It was exactly what about 1000 humans hollering at the same time feels lke. I woke D. Up and asked him 'which battalion is out here doing maneuvers?( He was assigned to Ft. Lewis at the time). He said that none to his knowledge. Then I thought hell its too late in the year for BS Jamboree. It was on the Art Bell show years later I heard a recording and let me tell you-it was so similar it might have been recorded right there. Now Ive heard a lot of people say its impossible...but If bear can live up there than why not a bigfoot? Maybe they are few in number and solitary. I have seen some pretty convincing evidence. I would say at the end of the day there is a LOT about this world we still dont know.

Nicely done video. We have a few in Coastal Georgia also. One of my buddies carries a double 455/500 since he had a close encounter coming out of Ft. Stewart swamps around twenty years ago. “Harvesting the proof” by shooting and killing them is a bad idea. I can’t think of a justifiable reason to do this. Fame and fortune are not reasonable motives and anyone who deliberately kills one of these creatures would not be a hero and would likely be shunned by those who want to protect any creature so rare. These are sentient bipedal primates, much like we are, and possibly our closest living relative. Tell your friend to rethink that idea and take a picture or a video instead.

This is an excellent presentation on the corporeal existence of the Sasquatch people. They are my neighbors at my isolated cabin. We have a friendship formed by the exchange of non-food gifts. Many native cultures (most? all?) identify them as spirit people, and that has been my experience, having been gifted with stick structures in the back yard and on the front sidewalk of my home in a dense residential neighborhood of a big city, as well as everywhere around my cabin. Our science knows almost nothing about consciousness, which matter exists in the service of. Note: Those large heads have large brains, and the sixth sense is their first sense, and the ways that they can use it leave us to brand them paranormal and scratch our little heads.

To me, what he says at the beginning is testimony enough of the scientificity of M.Barackman's mind process, and I appreciate the way he talks and analyses things. His reasonning is quite convincing.
BTW, as credible as the Gimli Patterson footage can look once you're somewhat convinced, with all the limitations of this kind of evidence (Bob Gymlan on his channel very eloquently formulates why videos will always meet such limitations), my opinion as a scientist is that the best evidence, for people who have never been witnesses themselbles, is the one presented at 38:24. Precise foot morphology analysis by Pr. Krantz and Meldrum (BTW, they look so muc alike... Are they themselves some unknown giant hairy species of old anthropologists ? :D)

    Pretty cool video.
I’ve been into the Sasquatch stories ever since I had an experience with them one weekend while hunting in the Chattahoochee National forest in north Ga.
Long story short….I hear whooping noises about 1/4 mile away from me while in my tree stand about 15 min before first possible light when everything was dead silent in the woods.
My buddy was in that location.
Right at first light my buddy texted me to get my ads over to his location NOW!
I figured he shot a deer with his crossbow and needed my help finding it.
When I came over the crest of the game trail he was hunting next to he started yelling and waving his arms to come here.
I was pissed because we have a rule to be dead silent while hunting and not attract attention to ourselves.
I immediately put my finger to my lips like shush ……and he said “No fuck that….did you hear them yelling and whooping.?”
I was like “Yeah I heard something”
And as Ingot closer to him he said “They surrounded me, at least three of them!”
    I said “What surrounded you?”
he pointed to the ground and said “Look!!”
    There were footprints all over.
    Now here’s what’s weird.
The prints were only in a semi circle pattern in one spot.
The prints were about 18” long.
The big toe was the size of a large serving spoon.
The little ties looked like one pad possibly from matted hair between them.
The impressions were deep like 4-6” deep in the leaves and dirt.
The ball of the foot was pronounced but the body of the foot seemed narrow like a human foot, not wide like most Bigfoot prints that are popularly on the internet.
Then the heel seemed normal human like and matched the narrow body of the foot.
It was still a giant footprint and they seemed to disappear after it made a large semi circle on the ground.
We scoured the area and I found more of these semi circle print patterns in other areas on the knoll he was hunting on.
I also found a large log moved and was straddled by 16”
Long prints very much wider than a human straddle and the soft dirt under the log had scratch marks in it like something was foraging for grubs.
I also found some very deep set footprints at the bottom of the knoll where it overlooked game trails at he bottom of this steep hill.
These prints were next to a giant white pine tree at it appeared that this creature was using the tree as cover while overlooking the valley trails below and it rested most of its weight on its right led as hugged the tree to look around it at the trails below.
This print was sunken about 9”
Into the soft leaf covered soil.
My buddy was really freaked out but after seeing the prints I felt the most euphoric feeling and felt like the air was charged with something I couldn’t explain.
Not sure if it was my brains reaction to this but I was totally calm unlike my buddy who was freaked out.
He said they were about 70
Yards apart from him and wet knocking in trees and whooping in a triangular pattern from one another.
He said they got closer and started throwing large rocks at his tree.
I found a couple rocks near the base of his tree with cash marks in the tree well under his stand.
It appeared they only wanted to scare him which they obliviously did.
He was so freaked out and seemed like he was never happier to see me and felt relieved that I showed up.
I’ve never seen him like this.
He was like a child extremely frightened and I’ve never seen him scared in the woods and we’ve hunted coyotes in the dark numerous times and have many encounters with bears and other animals in the dark and Ice never seen him this freaked out.
We went there again a few times and I had a smilies experience but it was only a bunch of thrashing of deadfall as I began my ascent up my climber in the dark.
Whatever it was was powerful and was snapping large dead tree limbs like toothpicks.
I kept going up my climber and told myself if this thing wants me dead there’s not a darn thing I can do to stop it although I had my pistol on my hip and that thought came to mind but by the sound of the power this thing was emitting and the sheer speed and strength at which it snapped limbs Down knew I’d be toast regardless.
Once up the the top of my climb the noise had stopped and I looked down with my headlight and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Nothing ran off and nothing was to be seen.
It was like whatever it was vanished into thin air.
I didn’t really see much deadfall snapped up but it sounded like there should have been branches and logs all strewn everywhere.
That was really strange to me.
I blew it off as something I just couldn’t explain and continued about my wait for first light.
I never saw a deer that day.
I e been back to that are several times for the next 20 years and haven’t had another encounter nor have I seen tracks but I have talked to a Native American guy in his early 20 who told me he saw tracks in a semi circle Pattern in the Cohutta wilderness.
This was before I told him about the semi circle patterns I saw.
Made me feel like I wasn’t crazy.

i experienced a bigfoot sighting. and there was another witness as well. we were driving and did not have a camera. we weren't even thinking about seeing anything!! it was around 2 a.m., a very dark and stormy night, very windy too.
dec. 24th, 2019. we were driving up highway 18, outside waterman canyon, heading up the mountain toward big bear city.
anyway, there are two lanes on that highway. we were in the outside slow lane. i was in the front passenger seat, next to the driver, so being in the front, we saw this bigfoot standing in the middle of the fast lane. my daughter was sitting in the back seat, so she didn't see, but definitely heard our reactions!! i asked, did you see that? and wanted a description so i could compare notes and verify that we really did see a bigfoot. anyway, he described, to a tee, exactly what i saw. so that's good enough for me.
he was about 8-feet tall. and huge, muscles!!! long hair, looked exactly like our idea of a bigfoot. the driver kept saying, he could rip the top off our car! we were in a s.u.v. so that's typically a taller vehicle than, say, a sedan or whatever. this bigfoot did have a human face, or it looked like a human face, but surrounded by long wisps of hair. the rest of the body was giant, covered with long hair. very tall. and very strong.
anyway, there was another car, in the fast lane, about 4 or 5 cars behind us. and i kept thinking, they're going to hit it! afterall, this bigfoot was standing right in the middle of the fast lane. but the car drove straight through, like there wasn't anything there. so later on, a lady told me that they do jump, and very high and very quickly, which i didn't realize. but that would make sense as to how it disappeared so fast. or it was a specter? i don't know. all i can tell you is that we experienced a sighting, there were two witnesses, and we did not get a photo. we drove past it, very quickly, while we weren't thinking about any sightings or anything, we were tired, it was a long day, and we didn't get pictures. we just raced right past it. but, we definitely saw a bigfoot!
that's my story, and i'm stickin' to it.

Cliff is a great guy, met and spoken to him on several occasions at bigfoot conferences- top notch researcher. I am a hunter, but Bigfoot should NOT be harvested, not even to get concrete evidence. I say that as an avid bigfoot researcher myself. I’d love to have a sighting. But leave bigfoot alone… they are either an incredibly endangered creature or some sort of native “human being”/relative of us Homo Sapiens. Or some sort of native spiritual being that can/does take both physical and ethereal form. Either way, it/they/the bigfoot should be left alone!!! I'd watched a video where the Patterson-Gimlin video was scientifically analyzed, and they'd enhanced the face, and it showed articulation of the lower jaw as it opened and closed.
The one thing that caught my eye in the film was you could see the gluteal muscle contract and flex during walking, because it was so large. A man in a gorilla or any other sort of getup, wouldn't even be considered, especially in the 60s to fake or have the ability to. It would have to be actual muscle and sinue to move in that fashion

A couple of comments from -- yes a skeptic, with 2 decades of working in primate behavioral research. First, I applaud you for trying to take a balanced view and putting science in the mix. And I found a lot of the presentation interesting, especially the morphology of the feet. Where things fall apart a bit is the same issue I have with true believers of lots of things, in that you repeatedly fall back on a well known logical fallacy called The Appeal to Ignorance, which says, "If you can't provide me with a better explanation, then it follows that my hypothesis is correct." In this interview you said on a couple of occasions, "The skeptics have to explain this." No, they don't. Their inability to explain it does not constitute evidence supporting any theory. In another point you showed the high correlation between black bear territory and Sasquatch reports, saying dismissively that if it's not actual Sasquatches, then the only other possible explanation is that people in those areas lie more often. Again, we're dealing with an Appeal to Ignorance. "I can't think of another explanation, therefore my hypothesis is correct." In fact there is another very simple explanation. Black bears are large shaggy mammals who often stand up on their hind limbs to examine something they're curious about. So, perhaps there are more sasquatch reports from black bear territory because there is a dense population of a species that might be mistaken for a sasquatch, resulting in more cases of mistaken identity. I'm not saying that is the case, just noting that there is at least one possibility that wasn't taken into account, and there could be many others. There are lots of variables. The other issue for me is making the assumption that a controversial bit of video is real and then judging all others against it. If it's real, that may be helpful. If it's not real, you could end up discounting the one real clip that shows up because it doesn't match the preconceived idea from the PG clip. Those objections aside, though, you've given me some interesting stuff to think about. You may dismiss me as a "Scofftic" as I've heard you say many times, but if I didn't have an open mind and an interest, I woudn't have spent all that time watching your presentation.

Shoulda grabbed my camera or phone but it was 4:30 am and it woke me up and I wasn’t ready for it. It vibrated my chest. It was spooky. I could make it out but only a silhouette. The first thing that got me was standing at my truck door to go to work at 4 am when I heard the loudest yell from down in the valley. It was a loud deep long lasting yell. My dog was standing with me. After it stopped I asked my dog , what was that. I then started noticing tree structures in the woods. I found footprints around my house, large and small. I have heard loud growls. They tree knocked back to them and sometimes we knocked back and forth. I have hear human like talking twice. I walked to the fence and yelled who are you. I thought they were people. I think they have moved on. They do migrate but they are gone now.

16:15 Humans, too, have armpit glands, I think:
The armpits are generally associated with varying amounts of hair growth, which makes perfect sense, as the extremely large surface area of a tuft of hair is a very effective means of spreading an odor by evaporation. The fact that body hair and apocrine glands appear simultaneously at puberty is significant and suggests that body odor and its dispersal may be linked to sexual development. These supposedly non-functional structures, coupled with the olfactory system, would be called part of a pheromonal system in any other mammal. (Pheromones are mostly odorless to us humans, but affect behavior strongly, nevertheless)
