- I've been putting these wheel repairs off, and now, when I don't feel like doing them, I have to get them done and gone. I'd have been better off doing them before, but now I have no choice. Thanks for coming along.
Spring for mugs, tee-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Hope you get to feel better quickly. These Friday afternoon videos are always a great way to head to the weekend. Thanks, Dave.
You should let Diane know before the next time she happens to walk into the background while you are filming, it is OK to walk on in and join us watching you work.
Of course the Engels fan club will be very supportive of her.
The definition of a nap is 2 hours. From someone laying on the couch under the ceiling fan
Have a great weekend, Dave. Hope you feel better soon! Thanks for the video.
We've gotten so used to those yellow wheels you may have to make another set so your shop decor doesn't change.
Sounds like Yellowstone probably has more of them that need repairing now, so maybe he'll get some of them when these are delivered. :)
I made a suggestion probably 5 years ago that I'll bring up again. Even though there is a very strong satisfaction peining rivets by hand, When you are tired, sore, sick, sore shouldered and just need to get the job done, you can cut the end off of an air chisel and make a rivet header out of it. I usually heat it up red hot and hit it on an appropriately sized ball bearing to create the divot. Then you can harden it and temper to a straw color. This will allow you to use your air chisel to quickly and easily set/head your rivets.
Take care and be sure to rest and hydrate!
The bed in the sheep wagon must be comfy and cozy. Two hour nap? You earned it.
Praying for your speedy recovery. Thanks, Dave.
hello Mrs. E. Good to see you. Happy beautiful summer day!
Thanks Mr. and Ms. Engel !!!!
Those summer colds can really take it out of you. Glad you had a nice long nap; obviously you needed it! Feel better soon, sir. Hi to Diane; saw her in the background a couple of times.
Have a great weekend. Take care of your health and hope your feeling better quickly.
Thank you for having the energy to video as much as you did. You are an inspiration.
Get well soon, Dave. Hope to see you again this fall.
Once again, we visit.the best shop around! And naps are just the reward for finishing a job!!!!
Thanks for posting Dave
It's nice to see the supervisor pop in occasionally to make sure you know what you're doing.😇
Looks like Ms Diane came in to check on you! Take care.
Feel better Dave! Thanks for everything you show us! Always fascinating!
Rest up while you get the chance! I have a pillow on the floor in my office because sometimes you just need a little shuteye during the day! Thanks for sharing, Dave!
Whenever I had a big list of things to do, I like to start with a nap.
Get well soon, and as always: thank's for showing.
Thanks for including this work in your video. I love watching wheel work. I know you've done a thousand of them but there's something rewarding in watching it all turn out right.
How familiar it is! There's a non-urgent task, and you put it off in favor of more urgent ones. And then suddenly it turns out that the deadline is tomorrow :)
Get well soon and have a good weekend love it your videos
To me ,watching another Wheelwright other than Dave Engels , is like watching TV on a 12" black and white ,with rabbit ears and aluminum foil .
...and the tv set with an aerial.😀😀
@@markneedham752 That's what the rabbit ears and aluminum foil are: the aerial/antenna. It's the cheap version that attaches to the TV when you can't afford to put a big one on the house.
Hope you feel better quickly! Thanks for showing us the repair!
I really like the history of the old wheels. Get well soon God bless.
Love my Friday videos, and you're my favorite. Hope you get well soon.
Your videos are great. Very relaxing. And great for a before-bed video.
First time I've ever seen a forklift with a wagon wheel on it.
Sorry about the summer cold, I believe it happens to all of us who live in the northern climes. Really great to see Diane again, she needs to make more appearances. As for the nap, who cares I nap daily except when your videos are on. Catch you next week, hope the cold is gone by then.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Dave.
Take it steady Dave, good to see Diane in the background looking out for you as you shift seriously hot tyres. All the best from the UK.
Happy Friday Dave and Diane!
Feel better soon, I watched the video after my nap. Thank you for the video.
Hi Dave, and Diane, as always wheel work is never boring to watch, and it's cool that Yellowstone relies on you. It was great to see you on the playground this week. I'm hoping that you get to feeling better right away. Have a good snooze, and a relaxing weekend. I know you will take good care of him Diane. Thank you for sharing, and take care.
Rest, drink plenty of water and get well Dave!
what we somtimes see is the mrs.
say hi to her for us.
and if a nap is 2hours, you probably needed it.
That is what a "Ball Peen" is made to do.
Wishing you a quick recovery and lots of good health. All the best to you and your family.
I hope you can impart your wisdom to some apprentices who love your work!
Summer colds/flus are the pits. Hate them. Hopefully you are feeling much better now. Those wheels look great. Made Yellowstone can send you a helper so they can learn what a pain in the butt their poor driving is to you.
Hope you're feelung better now. There's nothing worse than feeling rough, knowing you have so much work waiting for you
It must be wonderful for a tourist to be walking through your town and be able to step into your shop and experience the history and skilled work going on there. Take care of yourself, Dave.
Glad you got some shut eye Dave!! Godspeed!!😊😊😊
Continue to feel better....and a big thank you to Diane for being so gracious as to let me get a couple of pictures in the shop
You're welcome.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Dave. Hello to Mrs Engel!
Hello!
Enjoyable as ever. Dave, you make it look so easy.
From a fellow summer cold sufferer, here in England.
Feel better, Mr. Engels.
Feel better. Those summer colds are a vexation.
Great little video! Get well soon Dave. As always, thanks for bringing me along for the ride!
Get yourself well young man, that little nap was probably just what the doctor would’ve ordered, excellent repairs on the wheels, they looked like they came out pretty nice. Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching.
I never used to take naps, but these days I am delighted when I have the chance to get extra sleep.
Hope you are feeling healthy soon, and thank you for all your videos.
What timing for a cold... the Heat finally subsides and you can't enjoy the gorgeous weather we are having! Hope you get better soon.
Incredible stuff. And who else on CZcams gets 4,706 views, and 1.3K likes in just 37 minutes. Great stuff Dave, and I hope you feel better and fully fit again really soon.
Thanks for showing us these wheels! Get better soon
Take care of yourself Dave, we'll wait for you.
Get well soon Dave.
Pretty good timing, I must say... Painting these wheels yellow, just in time for the yellow pin striping on the spreader! 👍. 💕🌞🌵😷
I would try raw Onions.
Thanks for the Video.
Thx for sharing
Just a get well soon greeting from Sweden! Just to show my appreciation of your work! /Örjan
Rest is medicine for the Mind and Soul... Get to feeling better soon Dave !
It is a god given right for all over 65 to have a nap if they want with or without a cold. Get well soon. ❤️🇬🇧
Hope you feel well by the time this reaches you. It’s always nice to see the Mrs on camera. Take care of yourself 🙏
Hope your feeling better soon
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
I'm always suprised how long the metal bands stay hot. Several rounds of wetting and they're still steaming.
They'll sure be on there tight when done, that's for sure! I remember one big one, a weld came loose. Shows how perfect the measurement is, and how much they shrink when cooling.
Very impressive. Summer cold got me too last month, get well soon Mr. Engels.
Hope you feel better Dave! Take care, Randy
Hope you feel better soon, Dave. I never gave much thought to the wheels being there. I noticed them at the beginning, then promptly forgot about them. I figured they were just some furure project.
That's a great woman just keeping an eye on him wonderful work thank you
Wishing you well Dave. Regards Richard 🇬🇧
Hey Dave, get well soon! I just noticed you are peddling coffee mugs, so I bought one. Shipping was not over the moon, as I thought it would be. Now I await delivery and drinking my morning coffee from a real Engels Coach Shop mug!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent through the years. You are an amazing craftsman. Thank you also for sharing your time with me and my son this morning as we stopped by the shop. You are a true gentleman. Blessings to you and your wife.
You take care of yourself. At some point we all have to acknowledge that we can't now do what we used to do 30 years ago and be our own best friend.
But, it was nice to see a wheel video and I hope you'll be back to 100% soon.
There is a Yellowstone tour wagon in the Coker Museum in Chattanooga, TN. It is quite large and impressive. Not sure, but I recall it hauled 12-16 people: maybe more. My understanding is they are not used any longer at Yellowstone, thus this one salvaged and in a museum. Thanks.
Hope you’re on the mend soon. Having a little summer cold myself, certainly lowers the steam in my boiler. Good that you got the first snooze in the sheep wagon. You deserve it😊
get well soon!
here's a good way of speeding recovery: in your backyard, for just 20 seconds, let the sun shine into your throat through open mouth. this has helped me.

Nothing beats a good nap!
Get some rest my friend. You still work harder than most.
Hope you feel much stronger soon Dave.
If and I mean "IF" Dave ever gives up the business, the world will grind to a halt!!
Nice to see your wife keeping an eye on you. Get well.
Get well, Dave. Thanks for showing us all you do.
Get well soon Dave! Hope you get the cold sorted out soon enough.
Was nice seeing Diane walking around in the background and then coming closer. Looks like she was having an eye on you?
And thank you for another video showing us the "little" job in the background. You have put some work in them now and again it seems from the clips. The old felly being off and you having a steam bent piece of wood ready to put on.
Good thing you were working when the boss showed up!
Hi Dave I hope you feel better soon I really like watching your videos.
Take care of yourself...we can wait.😊
Rest up over the weekend! Hopefully Monday you'll be ready to get at it!
Sorry you're not feeling well. Get better soon!
hey Dave I hope you get well soon,
Wishing you good health, Dave, from Australia
To be honest Dave I can watch you every evening working on wheels. No set wheels is every the same.
FEEL BETTER!
feel better
Hope you feel better soon.
An afternoon siesta is very refreshing! I always look beyond what your working on to see what’s lurking in the background, figured you would get to them when time allowed.
A good nap cannot be overrated.☝🏻
