What FUN it is to be a LE fan! I hope you enjoy the "Pieces of the Past" as much as we do. I'm sure they bring back warm and wonderful memories of those special moments in your career. Ever the consummate performer! Whatever the time or place---from the little Minnesota farm girl singing to her barn animals, to Star Search, Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Television, to today's live concerts---you touch all with a voice like no other. I don't need to go to Vienna to have "the best time of my life"---I simply listen to a LE concert. Enjoy your trip home. Give your Dad our Birthday wishes and big hugs on his 90th. What a special day to celebrate this special man. Blessings. Lifted. You are Loved.
Fabulous!! 👏👏What a wonderful serenade in the middle of my night. So many of my favorite songs. That was so long ago. As always, Thanks for the music. Simply sublime! 💙💛
August 26th was my mom's 90th birthday and it was a BLAST! I got to ride in a limo with my whole family 9 of us in a Longggg car, and then we went to eat at the Golden Lamb where 12 presidents have been, and in the car, I had my first glass of champagne ! I had to wait till in my 70s for that! Mom was so surprised by everything! Most everyone had filet mignon for dinner and we all took dessert home with us, I had the turkey dinner and was so full! After dinner, we stopped at the cemetery to see where my dad was buried, and it was the first time when the whole family was at the cemetery! Mom cried. Dad would have been 99 this year. The Golden Lamb was built in 1803 and is a beautiful house and dining place. Loved your concert! Love Linda L
what's NOT TO LIKE?????????? loved the concert from the past and the great material from your cd release at the time. a cd that is often played (then again so many of your cd's are in constant play) by the way when can we expect another forthcoming cd release????? continued best to you and jake.....
WOW Linda! You really blew your fans away during this concert. That same feeling exists today, 25 years later. Amazing then. Amazing now. Many thanks for this fantastic vlog! 🎵💖🎶
You can't see me, but I'm clapping👏!! WOW, you were really feeling "Don't Rain On My Parade"! Everyone is at the peak of their talent. You look so beautiful!! We Want More 🎶! All of these songs are bringing back memories of being at your shows. The duet, goosebumps!👏🤩❤️🔥
Confession: I am a crossover fan. During the time of this concert, I was a huge Scarlet Pimpernel fan. Douglas Sills was incredible. So when we heard he was doing a concert in West Palm Beach, we jumped on a plane and went there. Oh yeah, you were on the ticket as was Carl. Ha! When you sang Don’t Rain on My Parade, I was overwhelmed. Incredible. We ran into Frank at the hotel gift shop and he told us you were going to sing at Carnegie Hall for the first time. We went to your show and have been following you ever since. Have been to at least a dozen or more of your concerts. Your shows are captivating. So, making a long story short, thank you for sharing this video with us. It was good to see Doug again and more importantly it brought me back to some wonderful times. You are truly amazing.
Awesome! Linda, you are amazing and fun! Great to see you perform album songs I've listened to a million times! Love the big band sound too. You have a treasure trove of magical memories. There is no better voice, thanks for sharing!!!
You are so amazing. I love how you command the music and the audience, but also the band. I have to be careful when I watch your concerts. Before I know it, half the day will go by. Thank you so much for sharing them. ❤️
Such joie de vivre. The technical skill was going to be there, this I knew. But the joy, well today I really needed that in particular. So, thank you, for that timely offering.
Love your version of this haunting melody…your video is amazing! It’s quit poignant as you fade out but uplifting when you reappear…a lot of emotions. The bluebird made me smile. Happy New Year!
This is fantastic Linda!!! So amazing to experience many of these older concerts from the 90's. Full archived library. Not sure if filmed your late night show at Town Hall back in 1998 while you were still doing J&H, your first PBS concert special, or even the first time you did Carnegie Hall.
Just got home and saw this. Of course I put it on the big TV and the sound system. It’s like being there. What can I say to describe perfection? My words feel so inadequate, but thank you. For everything you’ve done and everything you’ve yet to do. Thanks and may God Bless!
This just made my heart soar. Thank you so much for sharing these gems from the past. So much fun to watch. Can’t wait to see you in California in December. 🎉❤
I just watched this again on my TV , rather than my phone. Lol. This is one of the best vlogs ever. Absolutely beautiful. Although what I love about current vlogs is your “patter”. ❤
Linda it’s so enjoyable to see you perform years ago and just as great to see your current performances . You are a great example of the proper goal we all should have. The current term is flourishing. Many people including myself get tremendous pleasure listening to your singing but seeing how you live your life gives use a concrete real life example what flourishing is. There is no way to thank you enough. But I do thank you.
OMG!!!!!! What a gift God has given you! There are no words, wonderful as always all the songs. favorites all, and what a beautiful rendition of "One Hand, One Heart" I saw you at couple concerts at Procter's theatre in Schenectady, NY . What a thrill. Thanks for making my day yet again!!
Loved this vlog! These are so special. Concert footage from years past that we get to see now. And that one fan during “Someone You” had me. And Doug’s banter with the duet!
My english is not good enough,so i will write in my language, which is polish, sorry! So:Jest Pani absolutnie WSPANIAŁA!!!Uwielbiam Pani muzykalność,barwę głosu, frazowanie, emocjonalność!!Kocham!!!!W Polsce ma też Pani wielbicieli, zapraszamy ,tak 18:37 bardzo,tęsknimy!!!!❤️
Thanks so much for the stroll down memory lane... It was a great day, but how the *$@% did I go from 31 to 56 overnight??! Good Lord.😅 Hope to see you soon, take care! 😊❤
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! With all the tech wizards in the world, this would be the time to find and pay one to fix the rest of this concert footage for you because it needs to go on your webpage...Legacy.! The CD It's Time is my favorite to this day (a vocal masterpiece that should have won a Grammy and Frank's/Jack's best songs!). This reminds me of when you knocked my socks off singing these songs at The Segerstrom. Incidentally earning the moniker, The FABULOUS Linda Eder because you did it while sick... simply amazing! (Did you sing How In the World with Carl? I always loved that.)This Don't Rain On My Parade is even better than on your BRAVO special! The quintessential, FABULOUS, Linda Eder...if I had never heard of you, hearing this, I would have fallen for your singing all over again! Watch her fly!
Loved watching this - thanks for posting! I think this concert was just before the Leading Ladies of Broadway concert, right? I discovered that CZcams video during Covid when I searching for music to listen to. That's where I discovered you and was blown away by the two numbers you performed! I have been a great fan since then and am only sorry I didn't know about you while my sister was still living in Ridgefield - I definitely would have been on line to see you at the Playhouse. Thanks for bringing so much beautiful music to us.
Wow! I also see the great Dave Finck on electric bass at about 43:40! This was two years after Time Warner acquired Ted Turner’s “Turner Broadcasting”. The later WarnerMedia was later owned by A&T and in April, 2022 was spun off and merged with Discovery Communications (The Discovery Channel) and is now Warner Bros. Discovery. I wonder if they have top quality video tape of your concert in their archives. Maybe they’d send you a digital file.
Linda, your sense of style is incredible. I love the black and white suit. Did you design this your self? Very simple and oh so sexy. I'm watching you sing 'its time ' ... great song, great outfit. You do remind me of Judy Garland in prime. So exciting. ... you truly are a great star, Linda.
@@theblueangel28 Florence on June 27 performing with symphony. You can find info on her website. Tickets are very inexpensive. On campus of north Alabama university.
Linda. Since your Star Search days, you and your wonderful voice, music, Broadway and concerts have continued to wow me. Thanks for another fabulous trip down memory lane. I love all of your stuff past and present but I do love the early, mid and late 90’s stuff.
The Barbra/Mathis duet!!!
That was exquisite

Wait...did you just say you did a televised show later that same evening? That is some kind of stamina and you didn't even break a sweat!

Will you ever return to broadway?
They always say... "never say never" ... :)
Is it harder to sing outside?
No, it's fun!
