I've got so many mixed feelings! Compared to your other cars, I'm not that sad that the 540C is going because I thought that the F-Type sounded so much better, but the 695 was such a good little pocket rocket, which is why I'm sad that that thing is going away :(. But I love the fact that you're getting a F- Type SVR because those things sound amazing, look awesome, have a nice interior, and they sound amazing!

I'd be concerned that the press cars may dry up. He bought his way into a super premium club with the 540C and that's when all the crazy trips and press cars started. Didn't happen with the first Jag or the Alpha. He's got a name and a following now, so I hope it helps - I really enjoy his content.

R3beccaAnn haha so recently I was talking to an employee of BOTB, and neither of us were the biggest fan of the 695 as a car choice. Mostly because it seemed like the 540C was a more comfortable car. But it was a cute choice for the channel, something distinct.
EA40 it's was also something shit and overpriced
Good point about the price, as it did definitely cost a pretty penny (for American perspective, close to the same price as a 2013 Shelby GT500 like what was used in a Top Gear race). The way it was marketed was more of a special toy to people who already own more fancy sports cars.

Mustang I have missed the Jag-you-are. Was never the fastest sports car out there but sounded as mean as any AMG
The F type is one pretty car. Not necessary a great car but about the best looking car ever made.
Next car, you must ponder the Dacia Sandero. Think well, a Sandero with a DubCustoms wrap, a rear wing and you have nice super car with an excellent mileage to the gallon! With a car like that you will be different from guys like Burton Shmee, JamesWW, Super Paul of London and even Riviera Boy Delanney. And most important you could keep a car like that for many years, because even with depreciation, the car new was cheap to buy, so you lose a few pounds.

13:00 This kind of upset me. Supercars were MADE to be pushed and driven and for you to "get on it". Of course you're not going to feel special cruising at 70mph in any car unless its a hypercar (or was a hypercar). I have a Nissan 350z and yeah it's boring af on the freeway, but taking it to the hills and pushing it puts almost as big of a smile on my face as it did when I drove a 991 GT3 through the windy roads for 100 miles. You say Mclaren doesn't have the soul that the other supercars have, but you have to realize that it's not the supercar itself that gives it soul, It's the driver. It's how hard you push it and how impressive the car is when you do push it.
DenisTheGreat Absolutely true! I did like the 540c a lot for the look, performance and price, and i do believe that Sam didn't know how to push it to the limits so he can fall in love with it because at the end "it's a Mclaren"

Sam has made great decision and I would prefer to see an f-type on the channel rather than the occasional McLaren 540c

What all you haters and critics seem to forget is that the 540c is probably costing Sam around £2k a month, and he's hardly driving it, but more importantly both Sam and Paul (SOL) now don't need to own these super cars in order to do what they want to do, that is, drive awesome cars and share their content with us. Over the last few months look at how many brands (Ferrari included) have invited the likes of Sam and Paul to events, and given them cars to drive, so that they could share their content with us?
Ok so they now won't own Supercars, but the majority of their content has been with cars they don't own anyway! Their short ownership of these cars, together of course with their hard work, passion and talent has got them to where they are now, so why keep a car costing you £2k+ a month when you don't need to?

Boothy On Cars it’s true.
You have to see it from a different perspective. They never really owned the cars, they loaned/financed them and it cost them a lot of money. Since they started they grew their channels to a level, where they can drive really exotic cars for free for a period of time, still get the exposure (if not more) and keep the channels interesting. They will continue to show those test ride cars, but save tons of money at the same time.
I am going for example to sell my 2 cars as well within the next few weeks/months and get one allrounder car instead (saving on insurance, maintenance, service, fuel and most important parking charges). I too test cars (no supercars though, every day normal people cars) and make reviews of them on both my channels as well as motorbikes. Therefore owning two cars, when I can only drive one at a time makes financially no sense.
And being responsible and smart about spending hard earned cash is the better way to go!

Thought this would be another 6-8 month, I'm upgrading video. But surprisingly a sensible decision. The SVR has plenty of character while being a good all around daily. Use the other funds to grow your business.

I very rarely comment on CZcams videos, but I have subscribed to you for a long time and I enjoy your videos. Being fortunate enough to buy the cars I want I too have the f type and have found myself going back to jag again and again. The R grasps the usability whilst emitting a cacophony of sound that should frankly be illegal. It NEVER fails to make me smile and all the money in the world won't replace that simple fact.... good luck with your website!
