What about running a reseller mystery box? Throw random things in a box that have decent value and sell them to get inventory moving. At list point you're almost paying ebay to sell golf clubs so why not make some money and help some newer resellers?

I have my plush bins sorted and labeled into 5 different categories with the outside of the bins marked what's inside. My bins are Bears, Small plush, Mechanical (anything that takes a battery), Super Hero/Video & a Misc. plush. Of course, I have 2 totes that says "Bears"

Couple options with UPS to PO boxes:
Go on pirateship, I think UPS ground saver ships to PO boxes- it's a UPS service but it's delivered by USPS.
2nd option- have him rebuy with the Street addressing format for his PO box. When I had a PO box, I used to get ups/fedex packages using this method. I would enter the street address instead and Unit number for the PO box number. I'm surprised he didn't just do this, it's much easier for the seller and everyone involved.

I’ve had similar issues with the PO Box thing before…you can set up shipping policies to exclude PO Boxes, but a buyer can manipulate the address during checkout and force the sale. eBay needs to fix this

Have you thought about sorting your plush with the plush stored by what letter they start with, like one container labeled A-E, one marked F-L, one marked M-Z or however many you need? Like, Care Bears in the A-E, Pooh in the M-Z, etc. etc.
Pay your kids to build them. Legos website can tell you what they are and send instructions
Put each plush in a plastic bag to keep them clean . The twist tie bread bags at Walmart are about 4 cents each. Then spread your plush out into other bins. If only say 5 or less plush are in each bin they will be super fast to find!

You should title a Whatnot show, “Christmas in July” and sell a bunch of Christmas off. So many resellers are selling mid-July and getting their Christmas stuff gone this way. It might work as people are looking for the sales then (halfway through the year) for it. Just a thought ❤
Hi, you can sort and isolate just the items by shipping policy. Then from there you can either end them or make any changes that you need including shipping.
Reels are easy to test. Watch a video or ask your dad to show you how. It only takes about a 1-minute to test.

Reselling is not always a bed of roses, I had my crappy day yesterday, we are humans and make mistakes. If someone tells you they don’t, they are lying.. Simple as that.
Or… some of us are new and spend 1000 hrs on listing + editing so as not to make ‘em or get returns… until we get tired of the time consumption... simple as that… tho not so simple :D

Dave you need a sku system. You are wasting time when you have to hunt around searching for orders, it's inefficient. It would help especially with the plush at least you would know what box it is in rather than rummaging around several boxes. I'd give you 10 out of 10 for your sourcing abilities but 6 out of 10 for selling. Could do better. 😄❤
12:44 bulk change to calculated shipping, easy solution. Now inputting weights is gonna be the time consumer unless you want to lose money on shipping later on otherwise guesstimate weights. Delisting them entirely would be a huge backwards step

I have the same experience when it seems like any low ball items listed with free shipping are “found”. I bulk changed that. My promotion burned me too. $25 free ship on 2…. Was a killer. 😢

Just wanted to mention; I know you get hard on yourself when things go bad, which we all do. We just got going full-time and still make mistakes too as well. I know you're a big Disney fan (us too, have DVC and cannot wait to move down there) so maybe this will help. Walt was told by a former newspaper editor before forming "Disney" that he "lacked imagination and had no good ideas". He went on to say; "I think it's important to have a good hard failure when you're young...Because it makes you kind of aware of what can happen to you. Because of it I've never had any fear in my whole life when we've been near collapse and all of that. I've never been afraid".

How'd you package the records
To store plush go to a carpet store and have them to save you the center cardboard roll and cut it to fit from ceiling to floor and buy several of the sharp curtain hooks to stick in the roll all over and hang plush on it, these can hold a lot of plush and don't take up much space.
Can you sort inventory numbers or titles to check for double listings?
I won't post it here..but I made a HUGE similar mistake recently and lost alot of money!! Mine had to do with a promotion and free shipping also!! Never again!! 😂😂 Live and learn! Feel good that it's not just you!!
Dave, you can also stop sourcing and just list. It might make it seem like you are making less money, but your sourcing cost going to zero really helps make up for it. Also, you are a beast, the idea of doing a single whatnot is intimidating to me.

Ebay shipping never accounts for issues. We have an option called expedited lite in canada. It's up to 200grams. It fails to mention that dimensions matter. So if you ship something to big, or the box is too large. Won't print label. Stupid.
Why don't you put the high dollar plush in a separate bin so your only dogging when you sell one

Dave I have refunded 3 -4 people cause i couldn’t find the items . Mind you I only have 150 listed. Then I found the items after I refunded . 😮 I have gotten better but what the heck . My excuse is I’m a 63 yr senior . Trying to make some extra money.
I don't know if it's still a trend but there were lots of 20 something women dying their hair gray and it made them look like they were in their 40's. Also watching your videos makes me fell better when I make a mistake.

Have you considered going through and auditing your existing listings? If I had as many issues as you have at least since I've started watching you (6 months ish) I would consider just pulling my entire store down, and going through one by one and making sure you don't f up anymore. Mistakes happen but its crazy how many issues you keep having. A bunch of us have mentioned this before but if you have a hard time pulling the right item, just assign a sku to that one item. i.e. Golf Club 1 or GC-1.
You also struggle with shipping out orders on time, maybe get in the routine of every day checking to see what you have sold one each of the platforms. Sure, it may be dumb to check something that you don't sell on often but you just had a video where you were 10 days late on an order. I sell part time and my handling time is 2 days. 99% of the time it goes out within 1. Where you do this full time and you have a 3 day handling and you miss often (according to you) it might be worth getting into a better routine. Might need to put yourself in the customers perspective.

Dave I'm sure everyone has mentioned to you to quit offering free shipping on your items. Almost all eBay sellers charge for shipping and we as the buyers expect that. If you want to give your customers a break just offer a 10% discount if you're trying to move an item. That way you look cool offering a discount and you actually make money instead of losing money on the shipping charges.
You should have canceled the first lable and put the other club in the same box and buy a new lable.

I think size of package should not matter when shipping. How does it cost more for the post office just because the package size. In the long run they still ship . I think they do this just too screw over the person shipping the package.
Size matters because of how much room a package takes up in the truck.
