This model pressure washer only dispenses soap when on low mode. To engage low mode, pull the trigger twice in quick success while not allowing much water to come out. This is a feature to prevent wasting soap by using high water volume
@@oginsights5340 interesting. SunJoe/Snow Joe decided it was defective and ended up refunding my money after following their testing procedures on 2 messed up models

I had the exact same problem. Neither container would work regardless of the "Detergent selection dial" setting, or even if I bypassed the dial entirely. However, I was pressure washing with the 15 degree yellow nozzle when I first tried to include some detergent. When I switched to the "Soap" black nozzle, detergent started flowing. The difference in the water pressure or volume appears to affect detergent siphoning.

Yeah, we ended up getting a replacement (which was broken) and eventually a full refund from SnowJoe
