Solo Flawless Legend "Starcrossed" New Exotic Mission - A Safe & Simple Approach [Destiny 2]

Just a quick video showing the newly added exotic mission today in Starcrossed, my first playthrough of the mission to get the exotic strand bow Wish Keeper. Details below.
The amount of health the enemies have can seem daunting at first, but once again Polaris Lance does very well to deal with them early on. It can continuously stagger them the entire time, making it much easier to deal with them and get around their shields.
For the second encounter, I swap to Le Monaque as the damage over time is decent for dealing with Wyverns. It's also good for the void shields in that area.
For the boss, the right side is the safest place. Nothing can really hit you if you hug the pillar there, and you can rotate between the entrance or the side to refresh your buff. The phalanxes don't respawn (I thought they did the first time), so once you deal with them, the rest are easy picking.
I went for a slower and safer approach so people can see an easy way to get this mission done solo.

One mechanic Bungie failed to design and has left unchanged are taken phalanx shields. The whole point of the phalanx shield is that you can disable it, but the taken phalanx shield has no weaknesses it’s just obnoxious.
That's pretty much what the game has devolved into, just make it annoying and call it challenging.
It's made that way, all of the taken had a weakness taken away, read the lore and you'll see.

Taken Phalanx shields have never been breakable. Its been that way since TTK, mate. You have to flinch them.

Thanks for this! Considering how much of a pain in the ass the normal version was for me to do I didn't think I would ever be able to solo the legendary version but I copied your build & just beat the final boss.
Can we argue to the fact that wyvern DO need a damage nerf?
nah, activities like glassway gm wouldnt be what they are if they nerf the chickens. plus we are already power crept mad anyway.
They definitely put out some insane damage but they are laughable with stasis/strand.

Yeah, even a regular red bar is a tank. But if it was easy there wouldn’t be a challenge
i was just using this build in gms today. Its actually such a good build for this season deals with most champions, promotes a more passive style of play for revives and is just fun to watch everything go boom.
Polaris lance is good. Stun locks a lot.
CHEESE: I found in the room with the two buffs, grab buffs, jump up above you on ledge, and you can shoot through the barrier. I also used sidearm with anti barrier so I constantly shoot the boss. Goodluck!

I did this also, but at times i was able to be hit by enemies/boss and get detained. So be careful
Use the wishenders bow instead, makes it a lot easier for you

I accidentally got the triumph for flawless. My friend needed help on the boss, I joined and helped which ended with us first trying the boss and I got the triumph.
That last room is chaos. Nicely done!

There is also a glitch (Currently) that let you shoot through the upper window before the boss entrance. If you use wish ender, you can take on the boss there with little to no risk. You can also hug the window and use any DPS. Rockets, Super, everything works. You risk some damage and getting detained but that's all.
Better way to do first block encounter is to damage all the phalanx to finishable and run around finish them in correct order, this reduces enemy spawns in and overwhelming us.

Do you have a list of your build breakdown? You kind of scan over things in the beginning quickly but I wanted to see what you were running a little better. Also, what is the benefit of hitting the bosses w/ the chill clip from a distance? Does it actually slow them or does it add some kind of debuff? Thanks in advance! 🙏

Polaris Lance won’t feel as good next season. This seasons artifact mods are well suited to Polaris so just be mindful of that. I think it’s a great weapon regardless though and it’s super fun when we have anti-barrier scout rifle.

Haven't had a chance to try this build in Starcrossed yet, but I just used it for a few rounds of Gambit and TORE IT UP 😂 And that was with the Polaris Lance at 1600 power and the catalyst not completed. I'm gonna have some fun fine tuning this.
There’s also a secret chest in the first jumping part before you get to the first lots of enemies

You can jump back up at the last boss and get the buffs you were using before. Then just shoot the boss through the barrier wall with wishender.

Final boss same cheese spot but grab buff used stasis turret jumped back up top where you use rally flag you can reset buff in same area a shoot through barrier use turret to keep freezing everyone used sriga to damage everyone

When I soloed it I used nighthawk with dragon breath. Drop down, grab buffs melee him to weaken him dragon breath then super was at about half, then spammed as much dragon into him to teleported farthest away from where you drop down. Golden gun again after killing ads for orbs. Since he's far away you can easily run back into the room to grab the buffs. Killed him in like 5 mins. Me and my bro did it on legend to see how it was and it wasnt that much harder.

When you do the cheesy you don’t need to jump down. You can go back and get the other buffs never exposing yourself to the boss

Any recommendations for a good lmg that is not that raid one? Never have done the raid to get that specific one that I see a lot of solo players use for challenges like this so hoping there is another decent one.
Three best LMGs are raid guns right now, it's brutal. Retrofit Escapade can be acquired from Seraph Shield, and it's still meta in Root of Nightmares 1st encounter. Chain of Command is in the exotic kiosk and it's mediocre but good for taking out shields
I just raged out and quit lol. I was taking out one of the sides at the end and jumped over the ledge and got stuck in the tree and got melted. I turned that s*** off. Done lol

In the second encounter, you fire off some distant fusion shots at the Wyvern which seem to apply no debuff or real damage, any reason you did that?
I think the goal was to slow the wyverns because his fusion rifle had chill clip
I've done it with whiterhoard also , just run around in circles . If you stay in one spot , you'll due. This fight requires to be mobile

Radiant. From the artifact rapid precision hits and final blows give radiant. Or solar melee fragment does too.

harmonic siphon costs 1 energy
