A few people have mentioned they don't have Wicked Implement yet because of this mission, and others have asked if I have a video of it this season. So here one is.
It's much easier this season compared to when it released, both in the lead up to the mission, and the exotic mission itself. Solar debuffs and solo operative make a huge difference to how quickly you can defeat the boss, turning it into a very comfortable 3 phase, whereas before you'd most likely be clearing with a 4 phase and it being much closer.
The area I use for damage is key, as I found out last time when I did the mission. The boss is less likely to push you there and stay within line of sight. The smaller taken enemies tend to push closer to allow you to refresh radiant and restoration, it's just a great spot overall.
Loadouts are shown at the end of the video. I also showed the starting waves of Deep Dives and statue activations, to show a quick and consistent setup to clear those too.

Man this boss fight is intense with the timer. Crazy seeing it soloed. I have tried several times to get the exotic with 3 man teams and we barely reach half HP. Using that wall barrier was clutch af.
I only managed it during The Craftening with the help of two kindly souls.
This fight is no joke. I finished it back in season of the deep, only made it thanks to a friendly well-lock and a friend hunter of mine, with me also being a hunter. One debuffing with thether, the other doing damage either with blade barrage or gathering storm. Other than that, my friend and i tried the Thunderlord strat, since we had no idea what to use after countless wipes, barely making at the end.
Having a divinity also helps so your team can get consistent crits. The spot in this video also looks way easier than fighting out in the open
It’s tough trying to get it with LFG. Seems like most don’t know the mission, don’t have a mic and no one has Div. 🤦🏾I am almost 1830 so will give it another run soon.
@@vincethegreat3066 try to convince a team to try 3 peregrine titans, no divinity needed and no it was not fixed when they hit nezarac. Peregrine shoulder charge 1 shots minotaurs and does 215K per charge it's a very safe 3-4 phase could be faster if you don't miss a bunch.
this man was using forerunner for dps and still managed the 3-phase with 2 minutes left. unbelievable
forerunner is really good against tormentors, fyi :)

@@johnny-pe3ll Well, firstly Tormentors are hard to hit crits. This season its easier cause of the radiant buffs from seasonal artifacts.

So a few weeks back during a deep dive some randoms started this activity so I followed them, I happened to have buried bloodline on and noticed it was chunking his health pretty good, interesting to see you use forerunner, I only used the sidearm cause that is what I had in my loadout running the deep dive. I wonder if tormentors take more dmg from special ammo sidearms
Tormentors take increased precision dmg so anything that can crit that does good dmg (like a special ammo sidearm, snipers, a linear, or lmg's) do well against them.
I struggle to even find a raid team this man single handily own Destiny

At 7:10 starting the encounter, what is the most important to do? I am not getting to the part when the drilling is starting, and in the end I am teleported to a boss encounter which is not for this exotic weapon.

Amazing run this, well done ESO. I could never do this on my own. Took 3 of us about 8 runs to do....shame the weapon is absolute gash though given the hoops you have jump through and effort to get it.
I love this weapon. It can take care of all three champions, produce shards and crystals, shoot from safe distances and it looks good too.

I noticed this season the artifact perk that creates orb on ability finishes while near full super give you 3 orbs im sure its to encourage using cool down mods that require charges.
I didn’t even know this existed. I was deployed and didn’t really get into season of the deep. I’m going to try this today.

Do it on hunter. (That was amazing, but I don't get why he doesn't rush you? One of the biggest issues I find is his constantly booping you around , but he seems to sort of stay put in your vid!
Abusing barrier wall to keep tormentor in corridor. Also easier to predict movement and kite when you are solo.
I'll say it again: Eso should be mentioned in the game lore at this point as the only legendary Guardian, "The one that can destroy them all!", hahahahahaha...

Can you run the mission multiple times if you fail it the first time? I just got my 3 broken blades and I really don't wanna go fishing anymore if I mess up the quest lol.

When an exotic mission boss has more health than a raid boss. Luke Smith would be proud.
Seeing you have more damage output than what I can do with a full random fireteam is super depressing. We got him to like 1/3 health and ran out of time.
Question- why Synthoceps over Wormgods? I get more utility out of the Wormgods but I seem to be the exception since I don’t reliably get the Synthoceps’ buff, particularly when it’s just me and the boss. Thanks.
Synthos is lazy damage, easy to hold up but less damage, plus the less things he has to do the less chance of some bungie bull happening
In the boss room, he's killing up to 4 ads at a time. Having to focus the phalanxes then centurions to still two shot the minotaur is harder to keep up then to just huck a hammer at the minotaur
Idk about eso but I use synthos just because who has a good roll of worm gods lying around 😂 I have 4-5 good rolls of synthoceps lol
I couldn't get him stuck in that spot, he would just teleport away to the middle and stop chasing me out stopping at the entrance or run down the hallway to the right and not come out. Not sure what I was doing wrong.

Do I still need to catch an exotic fish first? Or can I now just jump straight into this?
If solo, yes, you need 3 exotic fish. If in a team, only 1 person needs to have all exotic fish.

@@CinemashHD 100% Correct. Wicked Implement will drop at the end of the mission upon completion after interacting with the statue.
Did you solo this your first try? If not, Just curious how many times you had to go back and fish for 3 broken blades before attempting ahain? LOL
That's not how it works... once you have the blades you can do this as many times as you want.

1 fireteam 3 member need to have 3 exortic fish or just 1 member only can trigger this quest, so when do this quest all member in fireteam can get this exortic
As long as you have the fish, anyone can activate the first three statues. It's the last statue that depends on how many guardians there are. 1 for 1, 2 for 2, and 3 for 3 and only 1 guardian to a statue at that point. TL;DR So first 3 statues can be activated by anyone, the last statue is dependent on the number of people in your team and each member needs to activate a statue.

How do you throw hammer at such close range?! I'm on xbox and my guy just punches.
Go to settings, custom controls, change melee and Charged melee.
I use hold right bumper for melee, and double press rb for Charged melee.

You can also map them to the same button with single press, for me it's right bumper single press as the game will prioritise your powered melee

It deals more precision damage to unshielded targets, so it's perfect against tormentors. Not that great for everything else
