United tried to build the team around him by playing a 4-3-3 without a no. 10 for years with a 3 man midfield where Pogba is an attacking midfielder. His best season was His first season in a 3 with Fellaini and Herrera/Carrick and won Europa League and League Cup. It has not work out after that and now United bought Bruno who play in the no. 10 position so they play with a midfield pivot which requires Pogba to do more defensive work which he lacks the discipline to do over a 50 game season. Unfortunately United is now built around Bruno and not Pogba . Maybe if United gets Varane and a top CDM like Kante then maybe they could take the chance playing Pogba in the pivot but if not then he has to play further up the pitch at no. 10 or on one of the wings.

But he's flopped in multiple positions? He's overrated just by virtue of him being labeled world class. If he's world class then he's the worst world class player of all time. He's a "complete player" that needs to play in one specific position with the right players around him to do well. and he's a world class player that barely puts in any world class performances for his club.

Rubbish. If a player is truly world class he doesn't need extremely specific conditions in order to perform. Pogba has talent but he doesn't have the mentality or the motivation to be compared to the true greats.

He's a great player but he's never hit the heights at Utd that he should've or had done elsewhere. For Utd fans, i can see why they get frustrated but if he's not 100% happy, they should let him move on.... however, put him in a France shirt and he comes alive which probably leaves Utd fans scratching their heads. I can see him going to Spain or back to Italy in the not too distant future.
Hopefully back to Juve and puts the performance on just like he did four years ago. And it with Pogba the team can either go UCL semi final or UCL final. Plus if Juve puts dyblala on starting them two would be legendary.

Paul Pogba is not overrated as far his attacking prowess is concerned, he can score a belter from a distance and always dangerous if he has the ball. As a midfielder its his defense work thats lacking doesnt fall back quickly enough, doesn't mark his man and also has a tendency to lose concentration, there are some moments where it seems he doesn't know what he is supposed to do on the pitch. He needs the right coach and manager, like how Conte transformed Lukaku

In United he is not shining becouse he has been playing too far away from the offensive side of the midfield, he is a great as an inside forward, and yet in United he is used always as a defensive midfielder.

Just a quick thought before even watching it, Pogba isn't done by far or washed up(although i don't rate him for being arrogant and not working enough, showing his full potential too infrequently) ....you should do a series on contemporary/still active players so that there is a difference between legends and Pogba...eh :)

Pogba is a victim of wrong club choice in the wrong time, I mean he had no business going to Man U at the point they were in at that time. He should have stayed at Juve or went to a team like Bayern. When Thiago arrived at Bayern his football didn't have any direction but was developed very well and we all know how he turned out. Pogba should've done the same thing but he chose the wrong club.

Pogba has never played consistently in his position at United so what do you expect. How do you expect consistency when he constantly being shift into position to hide flaws at United???. He is a 10 or a roaming 8
Depends how u define consistency....I think most ppl say he isnt consistent for United bc they ONLY rate base on the overall team result. For example..it doesnt matter how many chances or pass he played, if United lost the game, pogba is automatically terrible hence isnt consistent. Consider Switzerland game for instance, even tho he was the best player on the field n best player of the tournament so far, ppl still refer to him as inconsistent bc of 1 simple mistake...a mistake that couldve been avoided if the french defence did their job correctly. As long as he's in English football, he will never be respected.
Mou wanted Pogba to play in a way that wasn't suited to his skillset, he was given too much responsibility at Utd before he had matured enough, at Juve he was playing around WC players but at Utd nope, you can see now how he's playing really well next to quality players.

I think pogba’s case with manU is about 97% an emotional crisis. He is no doubt an exceptional footballer but manU fans and legends spoke way too early and his transfer to United was way too dramatized. So I guess knowingly and unknowingly, pogba’s way of getting back at his critics (which is a section of United fans and ex players) is to act as nonchalant as possible towards them, or the club.
He shouls have never left Juve. It all went downhill for him when he went back to Utd. Seems like its the only place he cant show what he is capable of since he is doing grear in the France national team too.
As a united fan for 20 years. I dont blame the player for mismanagement by 5he club. Pogba has always felt like a madrid player. He is clearly class to me. As are the rest of the french 4. Varane kante pogba mbappe. Who were the spine of the team. Ohh and lloris. Pogba is class. I hope to keep him especially with sancho signed and varane possible. But if he goes i understand. The man is one of the most unique players ive ever seen. His long passing is exceptional especially. Put in a solid midfield three like replacing kroos or modric with a casemero and Pigba would perform like he does for france. Every midfielder needs a partner. Kroos had modric. Xavi had iniesta. Becks had scholes. Bruno just got here a year ago and it made a huge difference

I’m a Juventus fan and my dad is a Manchester United fan and when Pogba was at Juventus he was great and when he went back to Manchester United my dad was taking the piss saying thing like “Pogba decided he wanted to play for a good/decent/real/big club (he would say different words at different time that’s why I put good/real/big etc) and he was excited that he came back to Manchester United as he would see him play for Juventus when I would be watching a match at my house and for France on tv. When Juventus played Manchester City in the Champions League a few years back as they were in the same group I got tickets for my dad, brother & I to watch them play in Manchester (I live in Cornwall) and Pogba scored the first goal (I think it was 2 nil I can’t remember it might have been 1 nil but sure it was 2) which was a powerful shot from outside the 18yrd box (about 25 or more yards). An absolutely great goal (might have been Pogba’s last or 2nd to last year at Juventus) and Pogba played really well and impressed my dad so when he went back to Manchester United my dad expected bigs things to happen but it pisses him off that he’s not lived up to the expectations he and other fans had. My dad says he was amazing for Juventus and plays well for France but it seems he’s not bothered when playing for Manchester United. When Pogba scored against Switzerland in Euro 2020 last week he said “he doesn’t play for United like that”. Pogba is a good player but he lacks the consistency of Ronaldo, Messi or Bruno Fanandes. And like my dad said at Manchester United it seems like he can’t be bothered at times, but when he does decide to turn up (mentally) he can make a real difference to the game he playing
Bruno is given a free role in that United anyone who knows football knows he will flop outside of Ole’s system like we seen in that Portugal team. Pogba is made to play defensive midfield for United but expected to put up GA of an attacking player, he’s far better than Bruno he should have a free role playing for United. Pogba is unorthodox style of play so on the rare occasion he losses the ball it comes across as really bad and lazy but if you know him he ain’t lazy
