Man I love the size of these. I have a Tactician but I love the size of those single-cell lights. I also like the fact that it carries bezel down with a deep carry clip. Great review man!

yeah, I wish their lights had a way to change to low mode first. love the designs, and I know I'm not their target audience, but armchair flashlight'ers like me would love a low mode first e1b, e2d, etc.
That’s interesting what you say about those E1L’s. I have one that I bought years ago and hardly used it. Maybe ran 2 batteries through it. I’d much rather have the E1B. I may have to look into maybe selling my E1L.
Need some advice. My back up MV stopped working, it only lights up when you press the tailcap. The high setting is not working, it cycles to 5 lumens but once the light is on, it would then slowly turn off. Do i need to replace the head? The LED?
have you tried some more batteries, different batteries, etc? New surefire batteries will be around 3.4v if they are fresh. that would be my first step since that is an easy step. If that doesnt do it, then call (not email but call) surefire. the lights come with a warrenty, so I would let them look at it.

@@tonywalker23 I just ordered this and the dual-output E2D Defender and the Backup is absolutely about as perfect as you can get for an EDC light.
I wish surefire would make these things be able to accept 16340s and low mode first, then I might buy a surefire.

having a hard time is the maxvision version is in black color or space gray color?
It is a matte black finish.
If I can't see the skeleton outline in the hand then lights not bright enough
I wonder how many lumens it takes to be that bright!?
